Another $1.9 million on Wednesday(finishing 2nd by the way) pushes The Pursuit of Happyness' total to $109.2 million. It crossed the $110 million mark on Thursday!!

Another day, another #2 finish for TPOH. Chalk up another $2.8 million for Tuesday bringing its total to $107.3 million. TPOH will cross the $110 million mark by Friday and looks to do another $8-12 million over the weekend. The movie looks to cross the $120 million by Monday if estimates hold.

The weekend box office numbers are now official and The Pursuit of Happyness pulled in $25.46 million during the New Year's Day Weekend for 2nd place. And on the strength of a 2nd consecutive #2 finish, TPOH has now grossed $104.5 million in 3 weeks. The movie, buoyed by strong reviews and an even stronger word-of-mouth, was up 71.8% from the previous week. Even though it's only been out for 3 weeks, it ranks #18 on the 2006 Domestic Box-Office list. Again, it's Will Smith's 6th straight $100 million movie and his 10th overall.

I think it's great personally. It just shows that it's not all about the money for some artists. It's about giving music to the people. Everything about the industry is based on money so I find it refreshing that you have some artists who are about the music and vibing with the people without all of the b.s.

I really like this skin. It's the best one to me.

According to Box Office Mojo, The Pursuit of Happyness raked in another $5.4 million on New Year's Day giving it a $24.7 million New Year's Day Weekend box office total. That's good for 2nd place for the second consecutive week. More importantly, TPOH has crossed the $100 million dollar plateau. This is significant for two reasons. One - dramas, even critically-acclaimed dramas like TPOH, normally don't gross $100 million domestically. Two - it marks the sixth straight film starring Will Smith to cross the $100 million mark. The Pursuit of Happyness' total is now $103.7 million. The movie could finish somewhere between $125-150 million.

It's another strong finish for Pursuit of Happyness. The movie finished the weekend at #2 for the second straight weekend with a $19.3 million total bringing its overall total to $98.3 million. The Pursuit of Happyness saw a 30% increase from last weekend's box office total. The holiday weekend box office numbers are in and The Pursuit of Happyness finished the Christmas weekend at #2 with $23.1 million showing. The movie finished in third on Christmas day with an $8.1 million total. The Pursuit of Happyness has now grossed $61.4 million in just 11 days.

Generally you like to see a movie do about 50-60% of what it did in its first weekend. POH's first weekend was $26 million and this past weekend it did $15 million. The next couple of weeks is key because if it can do about $6-10 million over the next 2 weekends then it should have no problem reaching $100 million. The big thing for a movie is to do about 55-60% of what it did the week before.

According to BoxOfficeMojo.com weekend estimates, Pursuit of Happyness finished the weekend with an impressive $15 million weekend to land in the #2 position. The film only lost 43.5% of its box-office from last weekend. The movie has now grossed $53.3 million in 10 days.

In its first week at the box office, Pursuit of Happyness finished #1 raking in $38.2 million(that includes its $26.5 million weekend opener). Friday's estimates have P.O.H. in the #2 slot with $5.3 million and it will look to finish the weekend in the top 3 with about $13-16 million.

Here's why R. Kelly is to blame. I don't care if the girl walks into his room butt naked... SHE'S 15. He is supposed to be the adult and reject her "advances". It's not about being "holy" either. In the U.S. having sex with someone under 18 is a federal crime whether the underage person is willing or not. It's a crime and he should have known better. And he's slept with more than one 15-year-old. He married Aaliyah when she was... 15! He's got some serious problems and he needs to check himself. That said, the Piss On You skit is still funny as hell to me(I watched it on YouTube yesterday).

I read this article someplace else and it's rather sad that the pioneers in hip-hop aren't treated with the same respect as their rock counterparts. DMC was right when he said that we don't support our history. Look at the Rolling Stones. They were here in Chicago a month ago and they played to a sold-out stadium. They performed outside in the cold rain & wind and still sold out their set. Other genres continue to support their legends. Country supports Johnny Cash. Blues support B.B. King. Jazz supports Monk and Miles Davis. Rock supports The Beatles, The Stones & U2. Who does rap support?

Piss On You was one of the greatest parodies in history. I still laugh my butt off whenever I see it. This Justin skit is hilarious but I'd have to say that Piss On You is better.

You know Mobb Deep actually had real potential but they destroyed all credibility by signing with G-Unit. I think that's what Tim meant by Mobb Deep aren't hip-hop. As far Em & Luda go, They definitely aren't top 10 in my book and I don't think they'll make top 20 in my book. That's not to say that they don't have some skills, it's just that there are a lot of emcees I would put in front of them.

I don't even watch SNL anymore. I saw this clip on YouTube and just thought it was hilarious. The funny thing is that the beat is not that bad. And you know some idiot is actually going to try that with his significant other.

While I agree a lot with AJ's assessment, the crappy music is not just in the South. A whole lot of rappers in MYC need to disappear as well. I know life would be much better if I didn't have to hear Jim Jones, 50, G-Unit., etc. anymore. The whole industry from coast to coast is a complete mess. I also gotta agree with mfuqua. There is a lot of good rap music out there. You just got to search a lot harder for it. I think things will worse before they ultimately get better.

There's nothing's wrong with the tracks. For example if a track shows 4567KB, it's about 4.6MB. 1 MB is 1000KB. I wish Rapidshare would just show the size of the file in MB instead of KB.
