  1. Will's clearly just making a point about Grant's ability to create a complex character, one whose actions are sometimes unquestionably bad, but one whom the audience can still relate to. That's called dramatic acting. To insinuate Will is praising violence against women? That's called poor journalism, and borderline libel.

  2. Well here it is: this is me documenting the happenings around my beautiful neighborhood in the wake of the Blizzard of 2005. I picked this photo b/c of the odd smirk on my face combined with the obnoxious syracuse-orange sweatshirt hood. Yes, I was most definately on my game when this photo was snapped.

  3. I love Willenium, but I agree w/ Bigted that I'll never understand why "Freakin' It" was the second single off the album. "Will2k" was a pop beat, but had some good rhymes, and was cool at the time w/ the turn of the millenium (even tho the whole willenium joke was always a delicate balance between funny and obnoxious). But "Freakin It"? It was decent and kinda pop-catchy but... so many other quality tracks they couldve chosen. I still think "So Fresh" could've been a hit, despite that it was so old-school. Suuuuuuuuuch a good song.

  4. Well, I've actually seen page-long lists of Boston slang and whatnot, and our accent & speech has been well documented (mostly over-the-top) in the SNL skits w/ Ratchel Dratch & Jimmy Fallon and in movies like Good Will Hunting... but all I'm gonna say is that this site is wicked pissa.

  5. Yeah thats true. But this is MArch MAdness bigted. It's just not in its nature. I remember watchin' ESPN and the lowest seed to reach the final four was an 8 i think. that or 11. THose two numbers stuck out. I probably got the topics mixed up.

Villanova was a 9 seed when they won it all in '86 over Georgetown. Anything can happen - it's madness, baby!!!! (for the record, I find Dicky V very annoying)

  6. I agree that it's largely commercial rap, and that 50 in particular isn't an overly talented MC (to say the least), but sometimes I can feel the hate for G-Unit spewing all over the place on this board. Really, I can feel it. It's tangible. And mildly frightening lol. You know what? Switch is a hit, Lost & Found is out in less than two weeks... So keep cool, my babies! It's all good (pop the bubbly...) :antlers:

  7. Pretty darn impressive, I must say. However, I feel the need to point out that Switch's quick skyrocketing from 10 to 5 in less than 2 days (when it's ascention prior to that was steady but incredibly slow) clearly indicates that there are a good number of people out there who decide what new music they are going to buy largely based on whatever pops up on the iTunes music store homepage - i.e., the top 10 most-bought songs. I find these people amusing. :ahoy:

  8. Your best friend is taking a nap on the floor of your living room. Suddenly you are faced with a bizarre existential problem: This friend is going to die unless you kick them (as hard as you can) in the rib cage. If you don't kick them while they slumber, they will never wake up. However you can never explain this to your friend; if you later inform them that you did this to save their life, they will also die from that. So you have to kick a sleeping friend in the ribs, and you can't tell them why. Since you cannot tell your friend the truth, what excuse will you fabricate to explain this (seemingly inexplicable) attack?

  9. Theory (and tip for those of you fillin out your NCAA brackets): dunno if you heard about it (story below), but the fact that J-Watson leaped out of a 2nd story window and basically only got a few scratches... Well, I just feel like that's some kinda omen about the luck my BC Eagles are gonna have in the tourney. He clearly should have broken somethin, but he didn't. In fact, I'll just come out & say it... BC OVER ILLINOIS.

That's right. I'm callin it! :ridepony:

Boston College player injured during raid on home

    March 13, 2005

BOSTON (AP) -- Boston College guard Jermaine Watson jumped from a second-story window to escape gun-toting masked men who burst into his off-campus apartment, police said.

Watson cut his ear and left hand early Saturday. He did not practice Saturday or Sunday but coach Al Skinner expected the senior to be ready for the No. 7 Eagles' first-round NCAA tournament game against Pennsylvania on Thursday in Cleveland.

``He said he's OK and he wants to play,'' Skinner said.

There were no arrests in connection with the raid, which appeared to stem from a dispute during a party at Watson's apartment. Watson had a bandage on his left hand when he attended BC's selection Sunday event in a campus dining hall but would not comment on the fight.

``He probably won't practice that much,'' teammate Jared Dudley said. ``But when the game comes, he'll be ready to roll.''

Athletic director Gene DeFilippo, who left Sunday's event with Watson, said the school is investigating. Skinner said Watson most likely will not face punishment by the team or school ``because he's the victim.''

``I don't think he's done anything wrong,'' Skinner said.

Police were called to Watson's apartment in Boston's Brighton neighborhood to investigate a disturbance. A woman claimed she was pushed to the ground after she refused to leave the apartment and end the party, police said.

About an hour later, police returned after neighbors heard a fight break out. The second-floor apartment was vacant but in disarray, police said. Watson and a friend, who were found hiding in nearby bushes, told police four to five masked men brandishing guns, knives and baseball bats entered the apartment.

``Jermaine's a tough guy,'' DeFilippo said. ``He's one of the toughest people, mentally, that I know.''

Watson averaged nearly 10 points and more than three rebounds this season for the Eagles (24-4). Boston College lost 78-72 to West Virginia on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Big East tournament. BC shared the regular-season title with Connecticut but finished 4-4 after starting 20-0.

  10. LoL This thread somehow evolved into a "but how rich are these celebrities, REALLY, tho?" discussion... Let's just say that if they can even RENT one of the "Cribs" apartments, they are doing just fine... I feel no need to discuss this inane topic in any more depth than that :ridepony:
