Ace Of Spades Posted February 27, 2006 Report Share Posted February 27, 2006 (edited) Reasonable Doubt ORDER ORDER Order in the court The lawyer takes a quick glance at a report The game plan It’s been used before Prove the defendant Not Guilty It’s the same score Innocent until proven Ain’t what they using Guilty until proven innocent absolute The one on the right is twitchy and nervous I let you decide for what purpose The one on the left look assertive, almost like victory is guaranteed But on TV, what you don’t see Is the secret fee Bribe Paid to ruin one mans life 10,000 is about the price The crowd lays silent The benches is piling But the procession is progressing Everybody sits And they pull up chair for the spectators that don’t fit The jury sits upright and sorta uptight But the setting is right Silence is golden The defendant is confident With the picture of family he’s holdin The charges are lengthy and too many many to name But as a black mans plight, it’s the same old thing Charges that would hold about a pound of weight They trying to break him down Heard the sounds as they pound away The jurors Could be more secure Looking like they low on cash And would do anything for some more The defendant has a record Who don’t Cant judge him in a split second I wont Charge with killing a entire family And grand theft auto Whether he did it or not We’ll find out tomorrow And what also isn’t as great The price for this 40 years upstate So we got the setting, a time and a quiet place Sit down and chill Coming live this is Ace ----------------------- A specific spectator looks hasty Wanting this to be dirt under the rug And truth be told the witness looks all too snug Live on channel 11 Replay at seven The judge says Let the crowd be seated This joint right here is fin to get heated Will the defendant make a opening statement Yeah, I got something to say Before this trial starts and you judge me today Your way Aint exactly mine But c’mon take a tour inside my mind I would not kill this man’s family I am a god fearing You understanding me? The lawyer put his has on his shoulder As if it was a gesture I got it, its over The plaintiff would like to call his first witness Not really call, but tell to come up She’s already with us The Johnson’s maid You can tell by her clothes She was poorly paid Do you swear to tell the truth so hard it hurts Yeah it aint the whole statement But….it works So she sits down Look a little twitchy I won’t say and exact reason Maybe her cottons is a little itchy What were you doing when you heard screams in the balcony I was watching TV Is this really about me Yeah, you’re right So you ran upstairs correct Yeah I wondered if they were alright So I ran up to check And what did you see when you enter the room Were they on the floor?
