  1. I was able to understand FuQ's lyrics listening to the song, but that's good point that you made Da Brakes, there's a reason why the pros spend all the money they do to make a song either in the studio or from a high-priced laptop to for it to be quality audio, but this is a good way for FUQ to promote himself for now.

I wouldn't call myself a pro, but my quality is damn sure close to it, and trust me, my setup is not that expensive.

  2. okay guys ghostwriters are NEVER credited. If you are credited you are not a ghostwriter. People were saying Jay Z wrote "Still D.R.E" for Dr Dre and he wasn't credited or something. If that's true, that would be callled ghostwriting. You guys are getting the definition mixed up. Co-writers whose names are on the book are NOT ghostwriters. Got that? Good.

Now tons of rappers get help with writing. Even the greats, Pac Biggie all got a little help here and there. Whether it's hooks or whatever. Will could've just gotten an idea for the Switch hook. Even if it's just an idea, the person who gave the idea needs to be credited or they might come back and sue u for taking their idea or something.

Um...Jay was credited, along with Eminem on Forgot About Dre, and "Hello" with Ice Cube. Knoc'turnal is also credited for tracks on Chronic 2001. Even if you ghostwrite, it's a legal matter to be credited for it.

  3. "Ghostwriting" is where u have people write songs for you and make it look like your own and talking all the credit.  With the solo albums, FP did have some co-writers on a few trax...but not ghostwriters. Check the credits, u'll see the trax that Nas co-wrote on Big Willie Style, the trax Common Sense co-wrote Willennium, and the trax Kel Spencer co-wrote for Willennium and Born To Reign.  I personally don't like the idea of people co-writing some of his songs, but with the JJ+FP albums and the other trax on his solo albums, it's easy 2 see FP has the skillz.  He works with peers and people he's close 2.  It's not like he's saying "hey dog, co-write this song with me, i need help."  When u have friends who do the same thing u do, it's fun 2  create stuff 2gether.  When i used 2 write alot, there were times when me and my cousin would write songs 2gether.  It waz fun, not cuz i or he couldn't do it on our own.  Now i do alot of acting.  When i thinkin' about how i'm going 2 do a scene, if i'm doing it with close friends, we work 2gether and let our chemistry take it 2 that next level.  That's what makes me not look at FP co-writing with other people as a taboo.  He has talked about it in interviews and credits the people who work with him, he's not trying 2 cover it up or anything.

Besides, look at the people he desided 2 work with....THEY HAVE SKILLZ.  Now if he waz working with The Game or Lil' Jon, then i'd be worried.  It's becuz of people like Fresh Prince, that talented up-comers like Kel Spencer are getting paid.  Kel's solo career hasn't sparked yet and his album never came out...but since he did some work on "Switch," he'll be getting some money outta it's success.  It also got his 3rd Power Music Group some attention.

I think that the whole Lost + Found era has FP coming full circle tho.'  Kel Spencer is probably the only real lyrical sidekick.

If that's all it is, I agree w/ you, I don't like it a whole lot, but I understand what he's doing & it's not a huge deal... but Skillz's lyrics seem to imply a whole lot more... I dunno, but def interesting...

Skillz song is also just that, a song; used for pure entertaininment and shock value. It's MEANT to get you to think more than it actually means - he's pratically implying ont he song he was never paid for his work, do you think that it's true? of course not, I doubt Diddy, JD or even Will would cheat him out of a paycheck

  4. so FP realy used skills as a ghost writer? :sad6:  and i don't understand why you think it's Big willie style"....

Because that was the only album he was helped on as far as I know anyway, i think Nas also helped him with it; Will talked about it in an interview I read, where Columbia used them to bring his image up to date

  5. They could do more, but at least they are acknowledgeing him as an artist.  They aren't 2 fast on the updates.  On the same page, they talk about Gwen Stafani's "forthcoming album"....it came out in October or November!!

It's not that they're bad with updates, just bad with vocab, cause later on in that paragraph they say "In stores now.."

  6. Yes yes. The Game's album was hype. His songs are ridiculous. That mentions list is no joke. Pac and biggie in like every song. I got most of the beats that I liked. And the said thing is, all my fav. tracks feature someone else wit him. 'Hate or Love It', 'Runnin', best as far as G-Unit type stuff is concerned. And 50 said his fav. rapper is Rakim. Really? Must not be too much becuz U would've stick by him in his arguement wit Dre. Just cuz Rakim had more lyrical and probably real life brain power than everyone combined on the Aftermath label, U wanted him to smoke weed and dumb himself down?!? Some tracks I didn't like grew on me of the Game's, but I'd still liked to of got the tracks that I liked. Game already knows he's gonna sell out becuz he said "Enjoy it will it lasts, cuz my next won't be anyhting like this." (not exact, but basically what he said)

I really do think every one person who is a Will Smith fan, and really does feel this album is gonna be big, it obviously will. But it shouldn't go big for a matter of begging for sales. It should go big for true creative art and good music. It's not a matter of other artists doing bad. It's a matter of Will doing good.

Lost + Found will sell 1 for 1, because I will without a doubt purchase it. As far as the rest of the world, we'll just have to see.

Um...Rakim smokes weed anyway homie, he was in an ad for this jewelry place, HIGH AS HELL...plus, no one knows the real details between what happened with Rakim and Dre, that and the fact, there's a new song by Ra produced by Dre floating around.

Anyway, even if Rakim was his favorite rapper, you don't bite the hand that feeds you

  7. FP's a smart man, I bet his opinion of Jay-Z has changed though recently, especially since Nas exposed how fake he is! :lolsign: I posted an article on Chuck D over in the 'Caught In The Middle' forum(go check it), where he says similiar things that FP does, "Rappers today don't live the rhymes they write, they just do it for money", bottomline ol' school mcs are fed up and want a change.

Nas is ALOT more fake than Jay-Z, Jay-Z doesn't spit about what he hasn't done, unlike Nas who was just a bystander to what he writes about

  8. Hm, Ludacris Produced a Track? :what: Which (of his own) Songs did Luda Produce by himself? His Hit-Singles were almost all made by great Producers like Timbaland, Kanye West, and The Neptunes! I don't know if he's a great producer, too but Will has been in the game for a very long time. And he knows how good music sounds like. Does he still knows what good music is? I mean, he spent a lot of time for that LP. We'll see. I'm not disapointed with the amount of the Songs, as long as these Tracks are Will-Classics! I hope Will is not lying to us. If he knows that this Album is garbage, he shouldn't say things like we gon' be surprised and there's some really hot stuff on that album. But Will is good person, and i trust him :thumb:!

And this is a fan? Sounds like you quick to lose hope
