Video Description: It seems hardly anyone knows of this version of the song. I've only heard the first verse myself. It was officially their first song released in 1986. The popular version was revised for Rock The House with a bit of a lyrical change and revised drums aand such. The B-Side for this one was Guys Ain't Nothing But Touble by Ice Cream Tee. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yF7Q9G1DnQQ&hl=es

MERYL STREEP has compared herself to Hollywood superstar WILL SMITH - because the success of hit movie MAMMA MIA! is reminiscent of the actor's achievements. The ABBA-themed musical was a box office smash around the globe last year (08), with estimated takings of $573 million (£406 million) worldwide. And Streep has likened the popularity the film has garnered to that of Smith's blockbusters, such as 1997's Men in Black and I Am Legend in 2007. She says, "I'm like Will Smith now! Mamma Mia!... It changed everything. Now the studio bosses say, 'Let's put this movie in the Mamma Mia! summer slot, like that's my slot, as if I were Will Smith or something. "I'm pleased to say my family and my friends and other actors don't see me any differently, but in Hollywood it's just incredible how the perception of me has changed." http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/artic...20smith_1093667

Sony nabs 'Angelology' rights Won bidding war for Danielle Trussoni's debut novel By Borys Kit Jan 30, 2009, 10:17 PM ET Sony won a fierce bidding war for "Angelology," the debut novel by Danielle Trussoni in the vein of "The Da Vinci Code." The studio picked up the movie rights for Will Smith's Overbrook and Marc Forster's Apparatus shingle, which will co-produce. "Angelology" is proving to be one of the hotter literary properties in a while. The novel sparked a bidding war amongst several publishing houses, ultimately ending up at Viking earlier in the week. The screen rights chase began right after. The story follows a young nun in upstate New York who unwittingly reignites an ancient war between Angelologists, a group who studies angels, and a race of monster-like descendants of angels and humans called the Nephilim. The book was generating heat for blending Biblical lore, the Orpheus myth, and the fall of rebel angels. Overbrook's James Lassiter and Ken Stovitz and Apparatus' Brad Simpson were instrumental in bringing the book into Columbia, which was competing with Warners (for Akiva Goldman's Weed Road) and Universal (for Imagine). The deal was in the seven figures. Andrea Gianetti and DeVon Franklin will oversee for Columbia. Trussoni is repped by CAA and Janklow & Nesbit. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/conten...7477a536ab7ff65

Will Smith’s hugs, pats were comforting on sets: Woody Harrelson New York, Jan 28 (IANS) Hollywood actor Woody Harrelson, who plays a blind piano player in “Seven Pounds”, says superstar Will Smith put him at ease by hugging and patting him on the sets of the movie.“I remember the first day on the set - I was so nervous about playing a blind piano player and Will came in and he was just patting people on the back and giving hugs and I thought, ‘it’s pretty amazing that the biggest star in the world is one of the nicest guys in the world’. That put me at ease,” said Harrelson. The “Indecent Proposal” star says that though Will maintained this cheerful demeanour throughout the time he was on the sets, he was also very focused on the work. “He (Will) was always trying new things and I think that helped us all get the full emotional content out of the story,” Harrelson added. “Seven Pounds”, releasing in India Feb 13, is a suspense tale of a man with a haunting secret to redeem himself by drastically changing the lives of seven total strangers. http://www.thaindian.com/newsportal/uncate..._100148239.html

Steven Spielberg’s ‘Oldboy’ Adaptation To Be ‘Nothing Less Than Stunning,’ Says Will Smith It’s been several months since we last heard about Steven Spielberg’s plans to adapt the popular manga “Oldboy” into a live-action film starring Will Smith, but fans of both the manga and the original live-action adaptation released in 2003 have been buzzing about whether the edgy story will be softened for American audiences. With the film and the original manga well-known for their disturbing themes — a crucial plot point involves incest — and graphic violence, is the typically family-friendly Spielberg up to the task of staying true to the dark, violent nature of the story? “It’s the thing that Steven was attracted to,” Smith told MTV News. “We’re working from the comic and we haven’t done anything other than talk about it. So we’ll see what happens, but he’s not going to do anything that would be less than stunning.” “Oldboy” tells the story of a young man who has been imprisoned in solitary confinement for a decade of his life, with only a television as a link to the outside world. When he finally breaks free, he sets off on a quest to exact vengeance upon his unknown jailers. The manga was previously adapted to the screen by Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook, whose film garnered substantial critical accolades around the world upon its release, and has received high praise from action-film junkies such as Quentin Tarantino. In one of the story’s most memorable and visceral scenes, the film’s protagonist turns up at a sushi restaurant after years of eating gruel in his prison, and demands to “eat something alive.” His tormentors present him with a live octopus that nearly kills him as he devours it, making for an unforgettable — and controversial — sequence. So, cross your fingers and hope that Will Smith has an appetite for octopus, “Oldboy” fans! Do you think Will Smith and Steven Spielberg will make a faithful version of ‘Oldboy’? Do you want to see Smith chow down on live octopus? Tell us! http://splashpage.mtv.com/2009/01/26/steve...ays-will-smith/

Will Smith: 'My Son Stopped me From Reviving Music Career'

He didn't do anything.. Seven Pounds is his worst performed movie since Bagger Vance.. Only 70 million in the US..It may finish with 150 million worldwide but Pursuit of Happyness did 320 million.. I Am Legend did nearly 600 million.. its a long way off from that.... Yeah Tim, but 'Seven Pounds' won't be a disaster after all. It's not a big box office success, ok, but it's not a flop either. Let's remember the Production Budget for this movie was $55 million. Plus, you can't compare this movie with 'I am Legend' man. That was a blockbuster. This is a drama.
