Willow And Jaden Smith Get Ready To Join Justin Bieber On Stage Willow and Jaden Smith (along with their famous folks, Will and Jada) left their hotel in Birmingham today and headed to the stadium where they'll help Justin Bieber kick off his European tour. Wearing a Gucci bag, tie-dye pants and bright red boots, Willow looked excited be performing in front of a sold-out crowd. 10-year-old Willow, who scored a huge hit with "Whip My Hair", is set to be the Biebs opening act. Jaden joined the superstar for "Never Say Never", and even though his appearance hasn't been announced, we can bet he'll be stepping out on the stage tonight! Willow, who just released her second single, “21st Century Girl”, has said that she wants to be a HUGE star. “I would like to be a very well-known artist," she said in a recent interview. Happy Birthday guys! Wish you both a great day today!

Now this is a story about how 1990s sitcom star Alfonso Ribeiro’s life got flipped, turned upside down The flamboyant dance that's made Alfonso Ribeiro famous has been haunting him for the past two decades. Best known for his role as Carlton Banks on the 1990s sitcom hit The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Ribeiro has been followed by his famous alter ego since the show went off the air. Despite his constant association with Carlton, Ribeiro's been busy with other projects, including a position as the director of the new TBS show Are We There Yet? and a stint on Fox's Celebrity Duets. Ribeiro understands that the character that has overshadowed his professional career for more than 20 years is the same character that has allowed him to be so successful since the conclusion of The Fresh Prince in 1996. The obsession with Carlton often reaches uncomfortable levels. "It is what it is," Ribeiro says. "I understand the fascination and the love of the character — that's basically the way I look at it. I'm going to have to deal with talking about this character for the rest of my life, I might as well get paid for it." "At the end of the day, I don't get frustrated by anything that [fans do], because it's been happening for over 20 years. People say some of the dumbest things that I've ever experienced. And I don't believe that the dumb questions are ever going to stop." Carlton Banks has turned into a contemporary pop culture meme for millions of fans who watched The Fresh Prince in the 1990s. The character's idiosyncratic personality attracted fans to the show and has continued to keep Ribeiro in the public eye since the cancellation of the popular show. "There is a cross understanding there that is different from anything that's ever been done. It's not like [Family Matters character Steve] Urkel — who's a caricature — Carlton is an actual guy," Ribeiro says of his former character's appeal. "He might be a little over the top, he might be a little broad at times, but he's still a guy that people can relate to." But Ribeiro has also found that the public's admiration for the character has developed into a delusional understanding of his own personality, and how connected he really is to Carlton. While he played the character for more than six years, the new director asserts that he isn't a mirror of his famous role. "What's interesting is that my voice is still the same," Ribeiro says. "Ultimately, when people listen to me they're like, 'Dude, you're just like the character.' No. I don't actually think about anything in the same way as Carlton. What makes somebody different? It's their thoughts, it's their beliefs, it's all those things that make somebody different. I don't share any of those things with Carlton. To me, that's what makes me a unique person from the character." So Ribeiro, with an ingrained understanding that he may never shrug off the typecasting linked to Carlton, a character that he portrayed so well on the nationally-syndicated television series, continues to pursue his passions with humility. "I'm very much a realist — I'm not a fan of myself," Ribeiro concludes. "I don't blow myself up to think that I'm something different than what [the character] is, even though it might be something where everybody says, 'Wow, this guy represented a generation; he's legendary.' I've heard all sorts of things, but I don't view myself that way. For me, I loathe that attention." http://thegatewayonline.ca/articles/arts-entertainment/2011/03/02/former-fresh-prince-star-forever-doing-carlton

Willow Talks Bieber Tour, Lady Gaga & Fame on 'Oprah' What does “Whip My Hair” mean? First of all, whipping my hair is the new, “I am me.” I don’t know what you are doing but I’m me. It’s an anthem about being yourself and not caring what other people think about you. Just do what you feel is right for you. Do you like singing, dancing or acting better? I think I incorporate it in all that I’m doing because when you’re on the stage, you’re playing to the crowd; you’re acting toward the crowd. You’re giving them the face, so that they scream. What’s an average day in your life like now? I wake up, ballet class, school, come home [and] record. Looking [from the outside] in, your life looks like a dream life, is it? It’s a lot of work but it’s like 50 percent work and 102 percent fun. How do you handle the fame now? Has it ever been a problem? Sometimes, I take this from my mom but I just want to be alone. You’re a fashionista now, Is it better to be on the best dressed list then the not so best dressed list? It doesn’t make a difference. What does your closet look like? Is it huge? Giiiiirl. No, it’s like from here to there. Are you constantly taking things out and putting more in? If I don’t wear something, I’ll donate it and clean out my closet. Where did the whip my hair come from? My friends. Like if they like a guy…. If he likes pokemon and she doesn’t know what that is, she’s like “yeah, I like pokemon.” Pretending to be something she’s not to please him and she’s not. You don’t do that? No, I don’t do that! I’ll be like I don’t know who pokemon is. Will you explain the game to me? I hear that you’re opening for Justin Biber when he goes to the UK. Yes, I’m so excited because when he’s performing I get to learn a lot from him. He’s energetic and goes around the stage. I like watching him perform. I heard you met Lady Gaga. I think you two would really hit it off, did you? We did, I really like her. She was born that way baby. http://necolebitchie.com/2011/03/01/video-willow-smith-performs-on-oprah-talks-bieber-tour-lady-gaga-fame/ VIDEO: Willow Waxes Poetic on Pokemon The youngest Smith has some mature dating advice. When she's not whipping her hair or having "102 percent fun," Willow doles out her wisdom via lofty metaphors, as in one popular Japanese game. http://www.thedailybeast.com/video/item/willow-smith-on-oprah

'Men In Black III' Brings Back David Koepp Sony Pictures has brought in David Koepp to do several weeks of work on the script of Men in Black III, the film that took a production hiatus and starts up again March 28. The picture still has to shoot the time travel sequence of a sequel that sends Will Smith's Agent J back to 1969, with Josh Brolin playing a younger version of Tommy Lee Jones' Agent K character, and Alice Eve playing the younger Emma Thompson (she's the head of the Agency). Koepp has been a reliable writer on such Sony tent poles as Spider-Man and Angels & Demons. He's repped by CAA and attorney David Fox. Sony has kept a skeleton staff in place while they work out the bug of the script, but the studio is adamant they had time, they like the footage they've seen, and that director Barry Sonnenfeld will deliver for its May 25, 2012 release date. http://www.deadline.com/2011/03/men-in-black-iii-brings-back-david-koepp/

All-Time Smartest, Most Talented Kids Over the years, Oprah has shared the stage with a 7-year-old surgeon, a 3-year-old drummer and countless young prodigies. Now, for The Oprah Show's talented kids finale, Oprah is introducing a few fresh faces, including her co-host, Willow Smith! Willow's not just the spunky, 10-year-old daughter of a Hollywood power couple—Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith—she's also a chart-topping performer! Her debut single Whip My Hair has already gone platinum and has more than 42 million hits on YouTube. Willow's first single induces hair whipping all around the world, but she says this is not just another catchy pop song...it's an anthem about being yourself and not caring what other people think about you. "[i'm saying,] 'I don't know what you're doing, but I'm me,'" Willow says. "Just do what you feel is right." Unlike most young performers, Willow's rise to the top was lightning-fast. She first showcased her vocals by singing a song for her dad on Father's Day. Then, while recording songs on a computer program, Willow discovered her passion for music and told her mother. "[My mom] told my producer, 'She wants to sing, she wants to sing,' so we just found the first track and we did it," she says. As an elementary school student with a flourishing singing, dancing and acting career, Willow leads a busy life. Her favorite part of the week? Ballet class! "My teacher [Miss Brianna]'s really awesome," Willow says. A typical day for Willow includes dance class before school, where she's taught by a tutor. Then, Willow heads home to start recording new music. Even though her schedule is jam-packed, Willow says it's "50 percent work and 102 percent fun." At times, the attention gets to be too much, but Willow says she just follows her mother's advice. "I just pretend like I'm alone," she says. "I pull myself out from the world and just do what I've got to do." Willow also works hard at being a trend-setting fashionista, and she says it doesn't matter whether she's on the best- or worst-dressed list. "I dress according to the event and how I feel about it," she says. "Somebody likes the outfits." Same goes for her hair. "If I'm feeling groovy, I'll put a little purple in it," she says. This rising star has a lot to look forward to, including going on tour with pop sensation Justin Bieber in spring 2011. "He's energetic and goes around the stage," Willow says. "I get to learn a lot from him. I like watching him perform." http://www.oprah.com/oprahshow/Oprahs-All-Time-Most-Talented-Kids/1 ----- Dancing duo D'Angelo and Amanda talk with Oprah and co-host Willow Smith about winning the dance competition, Live to Dance, and what they plan to do with their winnings. Josh Brolin Denies 'Men In Black 3' Script Problems, Calls Story 'Fantastic' After an unofficial report hit the 'net a few weeks ago that production on "Men In Black 3" was delayed due to script problems, we weren't alone in wondering whether the third installment of the popular sci-fi franchise was in troubled waters. When MTV News caught up with "Men In Black 3" actor Josh Brolin during this weekend's Academy Awards, we asked him whether the time-traveling adventure that has him playing a younger version of Tommie Lee Jones' character was indeed in danger. VIDEO! http://splashpage.mtv.com/2011/02/28/josh-brolin-men-in-black-3-script-problems/ "No, no... It's good," Brolin told MTV News. "We're finally starting up again." As for those rumors of script problems plaguing the 1969-era portion of the film, Brolin said everything is good to go now and everyone is... happy. "The script is fantastic," he said. "We're very, very happy. I wish I could read you this email that Barry sent me. He's very happy, which makes me happy."

In 1990 'House Party' became one of the first hip-hop buddy comedies ever and a benchmark in film for urban Gen-Xers. Written and directed by Reginald Hudlin this coming-of-age flick starred rappers Christopher "Kid" Reid and Chris "Play" Martin as two high school friends trying to pull off the ultimate house party while Play's parents were away. While the concept was not totally new, the execution and style was unlike anything attempted before. Where their big screen predecessors were either raw ('Wildstyle,' 'Breakin,' 'Krush Groove') or just goofy ('Disorderlies') 'House Party' had the right balance of emotion and humor. Before Eminem earned accolades for his verbal confrontations in '8 Mile,' Kid-N-Play had their own rap battle right in their living room, complete with choreographed dance moves! The late Robin Harris as the loveable "Pop" and comedian Martin Lawrence as "Bilal," the reluctant DJ with a halitosis problem, buoyed the fledging rappers turned actors. 'House Party' grossed a respectable $26M during its box office run and spawned three sequels. A little known fact is that the starring roles were originally meant for an actual rapper and DJ named The Fresh Prince, (aka Will Smith) and his partner DJ Jazzy Jeff. So what happened? During a red carpet event for TV One, Christopher "Kid" Reid explained how he and Play were ultimately offered the movie and how they inadvertently returned the favor by turning down what became 'Fresh Prine of Bel-Air.' Oscars 2011 winners: 'King's Speech' rules the night
Ale replied to Ale's topic in Caught in the Middle
I'm with Lerkot. I just can't understand why so many people find 'The Social Network' so special. It was just an average movie. Glad it didn't win the most important awards of the night. And the show was pretty boring in my opinion. Again. -
