  2. HawthoRNe - Season 2 DVDs of the Jada Pinkett Smith Series Have Been Rescheduled 3-disc set is now planned for early June Posted by David Lambert 3/28/2011 A month ago we brought you the announcement from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for Jada Pinkett Smith's HawthoRNe - Season 2 on DVD. At the time the studio had scheduled the 3-disc set for May 3rd, but today Sony alerted retailers that the release date had moved back a bit, to June 7th. No reason for the change was provided, but the content we previously reported, including extras, seems to be the same. Stay tuned and we'll let you know if there are any further updates! http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Hawthorne-Season-2/15172
  3. 'MIBIII' resumes production...exactly when they said they it would "Men In Black III" is back in production, exactly when the studio said it would be. A source close to the production tells us that the movie, which stars Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Alice Eve and Josh Brolin, resumed shooting in New York yesterday. The 3D threequel had a planned production hiatus coinciding with the Christmas holidays, and when word got out that the hiatus was being extended a month to do a production polish on the screenplay, an internet feeding frenzy ensued. Some sources actually reported that the movie began principal photography without a script. Our source did tell us that heavyweight screen scribe David Koepp did do a limited production polish on the "Men In Black III" script during the hiatus, but that work was "targeted and specific" and did not amount to a new draft. The production hiatus was planned and actually cost the studio little, as few people were on the production payroll at that time anyway. "Men In Black III" is still scheduled to be released on May 25, 2012. http://www.examiner.com/fanboys-in-national/mibiii-resumes-production-exactly-when-they-said-they-would
  4. Willow Smith: Calabasas Camera Fun! Willow Smith checks photos on her camera on Monday (March 28) in Calabasas, Calif. On Friday, Willow landed at LAX after flying in from Europe, where she had been touring with Justin Bieber Willow will be taking over the stage at Saturday’s Kids’ Choice Awards. “I’m so excited to be performing at the Kids’ Choice Awards. Really hoping I don’t get slimed!” she said. The Black Eyed Peas and Big Time Rush will also be performing, while Willow’s older brother, Jaden, is set as a presenter. http://justjared.buzznet.com/2011/03/29/willow-smith-calabasas-camera-fun/

Presenters include Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Josh Duhamel, Jaden Smith, Sofia Vergara, Nick Cannon, Miranda Cosgrove, Cory Monteith and, PEOPLE confirms, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian. 8. Carlton Banks, cousin of the Fresh Prince, has confirmed rumors that he will no longer dance to Tom Jones' "It's Not Unusual." At a press conference outside of his parent's Bel-Air mansion, Banks approached the podium in a steadfast manner. Standing at a bite-sized 5'6", for which his cousin has slighted him on numerous occasions, Banks said with absolute disgust that Jones and he "…will never dance to the same beat again. Done! Jones can't stand by what he proclaims." Asked what Banks meant by this, he responded "He changed EVERYTIME!" This statement left thousands gathered outside the mansion perplexed because Banks never provided a reason for his decision. While some wondered what the impetus was, others could be heard crying at the foot of the podium. To break the silence standard and familiar to inconceivable surprises, one bold reporter whimpered, "But Carlton, what will you dance to now?" Banks admitting that he felt his affinity for Jones' "It's Not Unusual" was unrequited by the songwriter, proceeded to look the reporter dead square in the eye revealing, "I'll never dance again." Immediately after this statement, a fan close to the podium claimed he overheard Banks say underneath his breath "Oh, I wanna die…" in a somber tone. For those not aware, this is the fifth line of Jones' hit song. The press wondered about this contradiction, but decided it was best not to investigate. Needless to say, the dismal and disheartened crowd quickly changed its face to a rambunctious one. As soon as Banks finished his emphatic speech, Unusual Jones Radicals (UJR) rushed the podium screaming the words to "It's Not Unusual." In an unsuccessful attempt to calm the crowd, Judge Phillip Banks could be heard bellowing, "Order! Order!" http://www.chicagoflame.com/news/carlton-banks-drops-tom-jones-1.2126501

  11. 'Glee's Ryan Murphy No Go For 'Annie' Glee's Ryan Murphy, who was Sony Pictures and Will Smith's choice to direct Willow Smith in the re-imagining of the Broadway musical Annie, has dropped out of contention. Talks broke off and he's not doing the film, I'm told. The project was recently set at Sony Pictures by Overbrook Entertainment partners James Lassiter, Ken Stovitz, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith in the joint venture they formed with Jay-Z to generate films. Willow, who is Smith's daughter, will play the lovable orphan. http://www.deadline.com/2011/03/glees-ryan-murphy-no-go-for-annie/
  12. Haha, another great video man. Apart from making us laugh, it's cool to see you're having fun doing them too!

  14. Yeah! Tim Dowling rewriting 'Uptown Saturday Night' Warner Bros. remake eyed as vehicle for Will Smith and Denzel Washington Exclusive: Warner Bros. and Overbrook Entertainment have brought on comedy scribe Tim Dowling to rewrite "Uptown Saturday Night," a long-in-development remake of the 1974 buddy comedy that David Dobkin ("Wedding Crashers") is attached to direct and exec produce. Overbrook partners Will Smith, James Lassiter, Ken Stovitz and Jada Pinkett Smith will produce the remake, which has been in development since 2002 and was originally scripted by Mark and Robb Cullen ("Cop Out"). The original film, penned by NYU professor Richard Wesley and starring Bill Cosby and Sidney Poitier, followed two estranged friends who have their wallets stolen at a nightclub. The next morning, they learn that one of their wallets contained a winning lottery ticket, and together, they set out to find it. New pic will likely diverge from the original storyline, and is being eyed as a starring vehicle for two A-list leads such as Smith and Denzel Washington, two thesps Hollywood's rumor mill has long associated with the project. Dowling was named one of Variety's 10 Screenwriters to Watch in 2010. Scribe previously wrote the hit comedies "Role Models" and "Just Go With It." Lately, Dowling has added action to his resume, having penned the upcoming Chris Pine-Tom Hardy pic "This Means War," as well as the "Midnight Run" sequel for Universal. Dobkin's next film is the Ryan Reynolds-Jason Bateman body-switching comedy "The Change-Up," which Universal releases Aug. 5. He recently became attached to direct "The Judge" for WB, and serves as a producer on the studio's fantasy epic "Jack the Giant Killer." CAA reps Dobkin and Dowling, who is also repped by Mosaic and attorney Rick Genow. http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118034362?refCatId=13

  16. Elizabeth Taylor: A Force on Screen Between the violet eyes and indescribable beauty, the stormy marriages and tabloid headlines, what gets mentioned far too rarely in conversations about Elizabeth Taylor is her talent. When she chose to be – when the material was her equal – she wasn't simply mesmerizing, holding the screen like so few can. She was a force. Taylor became an international sensation in 1944's National Velvet, when the 12-year-old played plucky horse lover Velvet Brown, but it wasn't until 1956's Giant that she came into her own. As the bold, beautiful wife of a Texas ranch owner (Rock Hudson, a close friend until he died), she set the pattern for her career: She would always be at her best playing steely dames, like Cat on a Hot Tin Roof's mouthy, sexually frustrated Maggie the Cat, for which she was nominated for an Oscar in 1959. She didn't win until two years later, with a starring role as a woman with a string of illicit affairs in Butterfield 8, a part that coyly toyed with her tabloid persona as a temptress. Though she eventually starred in more than 50 films – some decidedly better than others (1963's Cleopatra is still regarded as one of the greatest fiascos in the history of cinema) – Taylor's greatest work came in the middle of her career with Who's Afraid of Virgina Woolf? (1967). The actress won her second Oscar as the ferocious, boozy Martha, wife of an equally vicious and alcoholic professor, George (Taylor's real-life husband Richard Burton). Her performance is as operatic as they come, one of the greatest examples of venom and vengeance onscreen. The pair were so good, in fact, it's entirely forgivable to imagine that their storied real-life fights looked a little something like Virginia Woolf. In her later years, Taylor was more of an icon than actress, but then she'd earned the right. Sure, she sold perfume and did cartoon cameos (The Simpsons; God, the Devil and Bob), but she also brought enormous awareness to HIV and AIDS starting in the 1980s, a time when few celebrities – much less anyone else – would even mention the disease. She endured marriage strife with a humor few of us would possess, and remained a loyal friend to stars like Hudson and Michael Jackson, even at the height of the gossip frenzies surrounding them. In 1999, when the British-born actress was named a Dame of the British Empire, it was only the formal declaration of something the world already knew: Elizabeth Taylor was a dame of the first order. http://www.people.com/people/package/article/0,,20261725_20465873,00.html ----- RIP Liz Taylor.
  17. Willow Smith Swarms the Stage in Style Willow Smith whipped it good while opening for Justin Bieber on his international “My World” tour. Taking the stage at the Manchester Evening News Arena in England with her Warrioretes crew, the “21st Century Girl” had her futuristic swag down pat—rocking yellow and orange braids over a remixed version of adidas’ classic tracksuit in red and violet with sharp-angled cuts. Check out pics of the pint-sized singer performing across the pond. http://www.rap-up.com/2011/03/21/willow-smith-swarms-the-stage-in-style/
