Reviewers never know what they are talking about. We all have opinions. They just happen 2 get paid 2 share there's. I rarely agree with any reviews. I'm not even in a rush 2 read 'em.

I'll be okay with never hearing another solo album again...give me a JJ+FP record. Like others have said, FP is all over the place. His comments don't have much continuity. At least he isn't saying that he's retiring from music.

I haven't heard any quotes like that. It does kinda annoy me 2 hear things like that. It's all about phases and perspectives. Hopefully his perspective on his career is just a phase. When u wanna be great at 1 thing, u need 2 focus on that 100%. I agree with that. But there is a time and a place for each thing. I used 2 write and rap all of the time. Ever since i was 11. I slowed down around 16 and pretty much stopped at 22. I started acting when i was 16 and didn't start getting really good until 2003. I'm no celebrity, but 2 look at that and compare it 2 the 'Prince makes perfect sense in my head. I wrapped my best show ever this summer and me and my cousin started writing and rapping again. As the months have progress, we haven't kept up as much and i'm not having as much fun with it so i'm already planning more acting. As an artistic person, it's just impossible 2 be truely great at everything. U want 2 be, it just doesn't work. Sometimes u enter those seasons where it seems u can do it all, but those are just seasons. They end and then u have 2 plan smart and follow your heart. FP has been torn away from so many of the things that make him feel motivated and a part of Hip-Hop. The commerical side of Rap is what is at easy access and nearly all of that is pure trash. I understand his lack of motivation. He'll continue acting for the rest of his life. Let's just hope this is a season where his acting will take the front seat and that other things related 2 music are in the future.

Sometimes in life we can't do what we want. I'm sure someone can relate 2 that. He's acting on where he head is at at the moment. I hate that there isn't any new music but know where he's coming from. I do believe we'll get more music...that's why i'm not as bitter as half of the board.

Obviously one of my favorites...their other Christmas song "All I Want For Christmas" is equally as good. RUN-DMC - Christmas Is (one of those Very Special Christmas compilations) (1992) This song always takes the backseat 2 "Christmas In Hollis." Even tho' it's not considered an equal classic, it's probably the better of the 2. I didn't know they did a video for it...but they did and i just put it on my Myspace 4 those who wanna check it out.

Love it! Thanx 4 sharing this. The whole vibe is flawless!!

Ha ha...i love the Quad City All-Stars Christmas album...the idea of a bass Christmas album is hilarious, but i've listened 2 it every year since it dropped....AND at least one track off it usually makes my Christmas Party Mixtapes.... KEITH SWEAT - Point of Christmas A Christmas of Love (2006) I didn't even know Keith Sweat had a Christmas album. I was kinda scared 2 pick it up...BUT IT'S REALLY GOOD!!

I'm pretty sure i remember him saying that when he feels no demand for it, it isn't a priority for him. So if he knew that people were waiting, it may change things.

MUSIQ SOULCHILD - Someone Onmyradio (2008) Hmmm...this album isn't very good...only 5 songs are good enough 2 make my next Musiq Soulchild mixtape.

The only people i know that like Lil' Wayne are white girls who are 19 and never stepped a foot in the hood. They listen 2 pop and punk/pop music....ha ha. I actually like the production 2 his new song on the radio that features Bobby Valentino (who i also like)....i'd love 2 hear that track and hook be given 2 an artist with talent. The Game's new single might be decent if Lil' Wayne wasn't singing on it...there a TONS of male R-N-B singers who could have given him a good hook. Why go 2 a crappy pop commerical rapper who can't even rap 2 SING your hook?!?! BRANDY - The Definition Human (2008)

The new Brandy album is out. I've always loved Brandy. I know alot of us on this board have. Well, why i waz excited about her new album, i can't say i've CRAZY excited about it. But i picked it up and all i can say right now is that IT'S AMAZING. If u like Brandy or if u like R-N-B BUY THIS ALBUM. She has teamed back up with Darkchild and it's a good thing. The outcome is beatiful. The sound of the album is full and free. Her vocals are crystal clear and solid. The lyrics and concept of the album is just beautiful. We have all year thousands of songs about love and life but Brandy is doing it and keeping it fresh. This just an awesome album, i'll try 2 be more detailed later. If u pick it up at Circuit City this week, u can get it for just $8.99 AND their version has a bonus track...a club mix of her 1st single "Right Here (Departed)."

I think Plies is awful, but his singles usually have good prodution and a good guest artist...Akon, T-Pain, Ne-Yo...it makes me like everything about the song but the main artist...annoying. I nearly died laffing when i saw the new Vibe and it has a pic of him on cover and it sayd "Plies: The Future of Rap"....at least they didn't say Hip-Hop. BRANDY - Camouflage Human (2008)

I like this. Not groundbreaking or amazing...but good. Hip-Hop 101. I just wish MC Lyte dropped a verse. It would have taken this 2 that next level. Props 2 Jay-Z for working with someone like Lyte.

INTERVIEW: Will Smith on Hancock 2, I Am MORE Legendary and ID4 2
JumpinJack AJ replied to Ale's topic in Will Smith Movies
I have a feeling there will be 1 more Bad Boys movie in the next 3 years (give or take). I also have a feeling that if the sequels 2 I Am Legend and Hancock happen, they will be the last of those movie. I don't see a need for them and if they are made, i doubt they'll actually keep trying -
That's kinda what i was getting at with what i said. If i was hearing other artists...different kinds of artists over these beats, i might accept the music for what it is. I'm not saying i'd definitely love it, but i'd accept it. Some of the beats could be good for the right artist...some of them are awful. But when it comes 2 Kanye, his music, his sound, his everything, i thought it was steaming pile of doo doo.

Lil Wayne leads '09 Grammy nominees with eight
JumpinJack AJ replied to VIsqo's topic in Caught in the Middle
I can't remember the last time i was excited for anything Hip-Hop related when it comes 2 award shows. The Grammys used 2 only care about the art of music. They didn't let people vote or let sales effect thing. They only cared that the music got some kind of buzz. That's why they sometimes have album cuts nominated. It seems that things have changed. Lil' Wayne is not Hip-Hop. The panel rarely has any idea what's Hip-Hop and what's not...what's good and what's bad. Yes, i want good music and good artists nominated. 2 stay sane i just have 2 tell myself "who cares?" -
Jay Z - "Brooklyn (Go Hard)" (Prod. by Kanye)
JumpinJack AJ replied to Vipa's topic in Caught in the Middle
Kanye's beat just aren't what they used 2 be. Yeah, it's alot better than the stuff for his solo work. It's good, it just has no edge. He needs 2 stretch a bit 2 produce stuff that is on the level of his early 2002-2005 stuff. Jay-Z does the his typical thing. Not bad. Just nothing amazing. Better than the stuff on the radio and it's basic sound would be welcomed 2 the radio 2 dillute some of the overdone and underdone dirty south sound. -
The Hip-Hop Honors could be just what it takes 2 get his music career back on track...not for Hip-Hop fans...but 4 himself. Is there somewhere we can write 2?

Are you getting back to making music anytime?
JumpinJack AJ replied to BigBloss's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Yeah, i never listen 2 that song. It never makes the cut of my Jazzy mixtapes for the car either. When i pretend that the remix was never made, life is a little better. -

JJ+FP: NON-ALBUM MUSIC LIST
JumpinJack AJ replied to JumpinJack AJ's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I'm pretty sure that's a mess up. In all of my years in music digging i've never even heard of the song. It's a very generic title...ha ha. -
