  1. http://beta.zshare.net/download/ec36d43955...supa%20jean.mp3

^ that should be the exact link...but if not

    http://www.zshare.net/download/08-supa-jean-mp3.html

that will get you to the page to either stream or download it...

it's the same beat he used for Will when he went on Westwood and did his "I wish I woulda made that" ~freestyle~

i love the last part to it...the call haha

  2. Assuming what you're saying is true...

I'd like to know where he sees himself in ten years. Does he think about when he will retire or does Jeff just go album by album? Does he expect to keep producing until he sees otherwise or does he want a grand exit similar to that of what Jay-Z intended (where everyone gets hyped for the final album)? Would there be any possibility of Jeff and Will trying to figure out when they'd both be satisfied with their music careers and end each's discography collections the same way they started...one more Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince album?

What are Jeff's feelings on possibly working with new artists, in that does he have any bias or resentment expressed by guys like Nas or Redman? Does the south movement appeal to Jeff or would he want a stronger implementation of the DJ scratches and less strings?

  3. now that I think of it, when I say "sometimes rarely still do," it's more to the frustration that not even Virgin Records in NYC has Rock The House :shakehead:

that is true, but I think its actually not being printed. I have seen He's the DJ a lot lately, especially at Virgin Records at Union Square, as well as copied of homebase at times, however I've never seen And in this corner or Code red, unless I special order them.

yes, I know this is off topic, but yes...welcome to the forum once again, ha ha.

I've seen And in this Corner and Code Red...more than one copy too..at Virgin Records in Times Square but no luck with Rock the House...I asked an attendant and she immediately said "That's way too far back.." and I was just stunned. "Late 1980's is too far back?" :wtf: (frustration) :wtf:

welcome to the forum Ericky!! just stick around and have a good time, everyones here to help!!!

oh yeah and bob, sometimes you can find the best of things on ebay if you make sure its right firstly, this is what my experience tells me...

I've heard of soo many bad stories regarding ebay that it just has me I guess a little paranoid lol. Someday I definitely want to get those last 5 tracks to my collection, but I'm holding out for some kind of re-release? or it appearing on a shelf of a local cd shop...

  4. i did/sometimes rarely still do feel similar...but like everyone is up to helping you out with stuff (from getting used to the forum set up, to hearing the tracks you only heard of before lol)

now that I think of it, when I say "sometimes rarely still do," it's more to the frustration that not even Virgin Records in NYC has Rock The House :shakehead:

and although I heard most of the songs from it that you can't get on the greatest hits or whatnot are forgettable (supposedly Guys aint nothin but trouble?), I still would want to complete my selection without risking Ebay.

  5. I had a copy of Shock Value about a week early and I was just appalled. It really reminded me of Press Play by Diddy...alot of inventive, but convoluted beats along with no theme in how the album was "shaped." At least Diddy took somewhat of a direction in who his album would appeal to. Timbaland just seemed to do too little with too much. Also, Timbaland attacking Scott Storch pissed me off because I think although Timbaland is great for the singles, an artist can really make an album off of Storch-produced beats. I think secretly Timbaland realized this, and that's why his album is so all-over-the-place so as to not just have 16 singles instead of an album. Well, I think he failed and only made a bunch of songs that just butt-heads with each other.

  6. where did you get this from?

MTV's Mixtape Mondays has a section called 'Hood's Heavy Rotation: Bubbling Below The Radar

and it listed ~DJ Jazzy Jeff (featuring Peedi Crakk) - "Brand New Funk 2K7"~

so I searched for it and found that link!

here's the MTV page if you wanna see the mention:

    http://www.mtv.com/bands/m/mixtape_monday/031907/

it also mentioned of a song by ll cool j and 50 cent "Don't take it Personal"...altho after some searching I found a stream of it titled "Don't take this personal" on hiphopdx.com...it also has the brand new funk 2k7 in stream form, but i'd thought this be better since its an mp3 you can save..

  7. U can't blame an artist 4 u tuning in2 his career 7 years late tho.' Besides, no mature 2Pac fans things his Deathrow stint contains his most lyrical stuff. Infact, that Deathrow stint contains most of his worst lyrics.

    true, that's why i said "I'm partial"

so i really can't comment on it....as I mentioned.... :smartass:

  8. i'm partial b/c one of the first things i saw of Tupac was him (in a video i think?) mocking Biggie about takin his girl..

put a sour taste in my mouth..altho i have listened to much of his stuff and acknowledge his greatness...it's one of those things that stick in the back of your mind..

  9. i loved the song when it came out...i remember watching the making of the music video alot..

idk why people hate on it for sure, but i could guess it was kinda separated in style from the rest of the album, and the rock theme was an experiment that i guess some people were not fond of

  10. i see what you're saying about the forum being slow, but idk, i think it was pretty active back before the new year...when every single artist on def jam released a record lol...or at least it felt like the busiest quarter in the industry... now no one is coming out with anything to really get hyped on...at least for a little...

  11. I waz just listening 2 the full (extended) version of thi song day. I can't help but flow along with this song...it's just flawless from start 2 finish. The beat, the scratches, FP's raps. Classic.

But why is this post on the off-topic board?!?

my bad on the off-topic thing, its been some months here and i still make the occassional slip :sorry:

anyway...EXTENDED VERSION? are you kidding me.....aghhhh...is there more FP rapping on that track? and seriously...do you have an "in" with Will lol...every single discussion someHOW you always got everything he ever spit, even for his son in his house somehow you had an audio recorder on his jacket...lol jk
