well i was born in '85 so i was in kindergarden in '90 and starting high school at the end of the decade in '99, well i guess the '80s babies like myself are like our parents who said that today sucks compared to their generation when they grew up in the '70s, and the way things are going i don't know much good things our kids will be reminiscing over, lol

Nothing about music Hip-Hop and Rap NOW is better than what it was back in the day. Even the few good artists NOW aren't any better than the artists of yesteryear. And I certainly can't see how the industry in the 90's wasn't good. I think it goes way beyond people liking music from when they were younger. There's a new music I like in other genres better than old stuff from the genre. I can't can't image what educated person could like the watered down dance beats, subject-lacking, auto-tuned trash of today MORE than the music of the 90's and even the early 2000's. It's hard to imagine there's a taste for that. I just think people will like whatever gets played...it has nothing to do with quality or or relevance.

I know you are addressing the industry. I'm saying that I think the industry was actually in a great state back then. There's an obvious trend in the quality of music and state of the industry.
