  1. Anyone know why Freakin It isn't on the DVD of his videos? Yes, The Rain should have been a single and So Fresh too.  I also wanted the song with Eve to release but instead they released the one with Lil Kim.  No Jill Scott and no Eve. No love for Philly at Columbia.

the song you refer to with Lil Kim is called Da Butta and it wasn't released whatsoever as you claim.

Well, being that I was a radio DJ during the time this album was out and I remember Da Butta getting rotation on many stations in the US including my city, I think I'll stick with my story.

that's cool i'll stick with mine because i know it wasn't released unless it was some kind of promo that nobody has found out about. do u know if it was some kind of a promo single or did DJ's just play that song off of Willennium for no particular reason?

Nah. They don't let DJ's pick their own music anymore. Corporate bigwigs control everything. It was getting rotations on different stations across the country. Never checked to see if it was a promo, though. All songs get loaded into a computer automation system. Could have been.

  3. Most of the kids today only know Will as an actor and they only have seen rap with thugs and think thats what rap is, so that is why we hear more about his movies than his music. BET AND MTV both know Will the rapper. Will was on the FIRST EVER edition of Yo MTV Raps with Run DMC, and I remember Girls aint nothin But Trouble on BET. It's just a new generation of people & TV/music execs that just doesn't know or tries not to know Will the rapper.

  4. I chose based on how many songs I skip on the album. I listened to Lost and Found all the way through everyday for about 5 weeks. His best album by far, because its got different topics. Sorry Willennium fans, but even with songs like The Rain, So Fresh, W2K and Freakin IT ( which I think is the best song on the album), I put Big Willie Style as my 2nd Fav (because even the interludes are entertaining!) and then Willennium.

  5. I can't say that Born to Reign only got one single because it was weaker, it just didn't the marketing needed. I just happened to be in store the Tuesday it came out, but I didn't know it was coming out. For Lost and Found however, Will got a 30min special on MTV before it dropped, Will is doing shows for it and touring. From Born to Reign I thought Nothin on my Mind, Give me Tonight and Act like Ya Know would have been good singles. Lost and Found will definitely get at least one more single because of promotion alone.

  6. I was thinking about this the other day. I'd like it to be more than three.

    My group: The Justice League

    Will Smith

    Nas

    Common

    Talib

    Jadakiss

    Kanye

Kinda like the Wu-Tang concept with albums every 2 years or something. They would drop serious knowledge in all their rhymes and bring "thought" back

to this art form. I think this group could make a no curse album and sale well.
