1. :werd: Those would have all been dope singles(except "Da Butta") to show that Will's more of a lyricist than people perceive him to be. He could have also released "Born To Reign" as well if it was longer than one verse 'cause that song had a lot of deep lyricism in that one verse(he could have added KRS-ONE or Chuck D to the song, but Columbia wouldn' allow that though). It all comes down to creative freedom with Will having to everything the way Columbia Records and a new label will be able to help get Will's credability back(as long as it's not a strictly pop label like Columbia, there's nothing wrong with Will going to a label like Def Jam or J Records to get that).
2. I think that Eminem sold more than Jay-Z did and he's probably closer to JJFP in record sales than Jay-Z is but that's not the point. His best album "Big Willie Style" sold more albums than most artists careers(I think even LL only sold 11 million copies in his 19 year career and KRS-ONE only sold 5 million in his 17 year career). Will Smith has something that a lot of rappers don't have which is longevity. As poorly as "Born To Reign" was KRS-ONE's last 3 albums combined probably didn't sell as much as "Born To Reign" so we have to put things in perspective here! More people in hip-hop gotta give Big Will the credit he deserves.
3. For some rappers beef could help boast your career: 50 Cent dissed Ja Rule and sold 8 million albums, Nas dissed Jay-Z and Stillmatic and God's Son both went multiplatinum when Nas struggled to go platinum since It Was Written came out. But for LL Cool J dissin' Cannibus, his sales went down(probably 'cause a lot of people never heard of Cannibus), since he tried changing his image from being an ol' school clean rapper like Will is and making "The G.O.A.T"( which would've been a better album if it had less cameos and cursing in it, you could tell that LL was not himself on that album). If Will Smith and Eminem had beef Will would be changing his style too much as I come to think about it and that would be wack!
4.
I don't think releasing it first on the internet would be a good idea... People would buy it yes, but more people would download it. By the time albums hit shelves, the majority of people would have downloaded the tracks they want anyway so the likelihood is they won't then go on to buy the album.
I think that happened when Born To Reign came out wit people downloading his music. I think he broke a record for most people downloading a song when "Black Suits Comin'" came out but the album "Born To Reign" sold even less records than Norega's album:"God's Favorite" when they were released at the same time, I don't think Norega ever went platinum in his career, so that wasn't a good look for Will Smith who probably sold more records than any rapper alive(only 2Pac sold more I think)! Majority of fans ain't loyal anyway so that's a good point that you made Prince, but I don't see why he shouldn't drop it on the internet and see what happens. It's almost summertime and I want somethin' that I could bump in my ride! :dancingcool: I wanna get that along with the new KRS-ONE and Nas that are droppin' in July 'cause they're 3 of my favorite rappers!
5.
I don´t care if stuff is explicit or not, I just love music.
:werd: I just wanna hear hot music as well, it doesn't matter if you curse or not, if you got skills you got skills, I don't like how people think Will's soft just 'cause he doesn't curse on record! He's hip-hop just like 2Pac and Biggie are and I would have to have heard a song with the 3 of them if 2Pac and Biggie were alive 'cause their individual personalities would have made one creative song! Peace! :peace:
6.
if they actually did do a fresh prince of bel air dvd what should be on it?

heres my list:

- every jazzy jeff & fresh prince music video
- 100th episode special hosted by jazz
- outtakes/bloopers
- cast commentary for a few of the best episodes a season
- original promos for the show
- able to access the complete fresh prince of bel air theme
- interview with quincy jones about the show
- sum easter eggs..like the carlton dance
- commentary by the writers
- feature on the clothes/fashion of fpoba
- interviews with the cast about the development of their characters
:werd: You pretty much summed it up! It would make me more hyped to buy it no matter how much the price is if it had all of that!
7. What's up y'all, check out a piece of a song that I recently wrote:
"Uh,Uh,hip-hop lost its head
Too much pop ****
That's what we gotta stop again
Few wanna stop it
Many performers are knocked with the gimmick
Taken over from them industry heads
Who just wanna bust elementary lyrics
With more imagery pics
Taken the place along wit filthy graphics
What kind of great generation are we livin' in?
When controversy outsells talent
Y'all check the Billboards
And where is the ill tour
That happened before m.c.'s decided to kill more
On record, no one's clever
New generation of hip-hop is one dead blur
And it's for sure
That it's on the pop scene
But it's not the dream
The pioneers like Scott La Roc, Eaz-e, 2Pac, and Biggie would have like to see
If they were still breathin'
There are no ill LP's
Five mics are all killed or deceased
Not like when Jeff and Will were on the scene
Now they're a bunch of lies fill C.D's
That real cats won't buy
Until you go to the camera guy
With ya ass showin' for one million
C.d's people'll buy
Just to look at the picture on the cover
But when they pop the disc
In their stereos they'll wonder
Was payin' this money worth it
But they say hey that tight butt seems to be worth it
Music is just hideously worthless
Where is the reality of the sense"
8. I saw that show on Friday too and I was quite disappointed too that the guy didn't know Jazzy Jeff's real name, which is Jeff Townes, but at the same time I realise that a lot of the fans that are in the audience have been sucked in to only mainstream hip-hop that's out now! Even a lot of the freestyle battles on that show could get kind of weak sometimes 'cause all the winner has to do is shout out Free, AJ, and DJ Enuff during the freestyle to get the win and that's wack! :cussing: I don't watch 106&Park that much as I used to and I don't watch Direct Effect on MTV 'cause it becomes rather repetitive and uninteresting to watch 'cause most of my fav. videos/artists don't get airplay. 106&Park showed Erick Sermon's new video one time and nobody ever voted for it to get on the countdown! Hip-hop fans are too ignorant these days! :nhawong:
9.
Only males of the Negro race can rap. They seem to be born whit a natural talent to create sentancs that rhyme, and besides that the abbility to recite them rhytmicly to a beat. Tough Scientists can not explain why only Poor negro males can rap, wich seems to be the case. For some reason these talents only get unlocked when the individual has been exposed to alot of poverty and crime in the earlier stages of life, thus keeping it real.

Youre Kind regards,

Daedalus Mortality
Hey man, what rock are living under? Yeah, I'm black but that doesn't mean I'm more angry than anybody else is and all people of all races go through problems, we're trying to bridge the gap between racism and not create more, that's what makes hip-hop so special! It's able to bring people together and everyone is an individualist so that's an ignorant comment! :nhawong: I've been rapppin' for more than 4 years now and I learned that it's better to express my emotions in the songs I write and when I freestyle towards the things I like and dislike, but we all go through our ups and downs as humans so to just say black people go through **** is dumb!
10. Where's FP at on the list? I'm surprised that they put Chuck D,Big Daddy Kane, and KRS-ONE on the list 'cause they're usually overlooked! Why does all the media consider Eminem to be one of the greatest rappers ever before they mention Will 'cause Will's been popular in the mainstream alot longer?!! :dunno:
11. It doesn't matter what color or race u are, it only matters that you have skills. Look at that Chinese guy that won the BET freestyle competition on 106&Park as an example, people rap in all nations now 'cause hip-hop is worldwide phenominon, but I wonder if hip-hop overseas is better than the garbage over in the U.S.! :dj:
12. It would be dope to see Will Smith, Jay-Z, Eminem, Nas, LL Cool J, KRS-ONE, Chuck D From Public Enemy, Treach From Naughty By Nature, and Snoop Dogg all freestyle against each other in a tournament to see who's really the best m.c. of all time! In the battle anybody that talks about ice, doe, hoes, and money gets disqualified 'cause we'll see who the real m.c. is when commercial talk can't be used! :dj: We gotta take it back to the essence where talent overrules frontin'!
13. If Big Will gets another major label record deal, it won't be right if he doesn't bring Jazzy Jeff and his promotional team wit him(ATOJ) 'cause he has to stay true on how his rap career started that way JJFP will benefit and the real fans will be hearing more music from them then in recent years!
