  1. I think Will should use his "most powerful actor" status to keep his movies on hold to do a real tour and album promotion. I mean, let's say he does a 1 year tour, takes a month or two off to rest up and spend time with the family and then works on his next flick, it'll still be a blockbuster. It was a year between Hitch and Pursuit (maybe longer) and both were hit movies.

  2. I just got this a couple days ago (there are quite a few on amazon for less than 5 bucks, so check it out if you don't have a copy)

and I have to say that this is one really cool concert. The back of the DVD makes it seem like he does 3 or 4 songs, but he does a true concert that's very entertaining.

and for those of you who have the DVD, check out the encore after the credits, if you haven't seen it yet.

  3. I was in Jazz history on friday and our professor was talking about Miles Davis, who is his hero. At this point we are discussing the album Kind of Blue, and plan on going to A Love Supreme in a week or two. Anyway, he said "Miles really stayed current, he even worked with rappers, he did some work with rapper Easy Moe Dee" then me and only one other guy sarted laughing and I said "What? there's Easy-E and Kool Moe Dee" then the professor said "Eh, Kool Moe Dee, whatever the hell his name is."

I figure some of you guys may get a kick out of this.

  4. you UK guys are lucky, the beasties are performing there, the USA one is in New Jersey, which is like having it in the middle of nowhere. Al Gore wanted to do it in DC at the mall (which isn't a shopping mall, but a giant lawn called 'the mall') but they said that they couldn't provide enough bathrooms for the people. So, I'm probably gonna miss this, mainly because out of all the artists, so far, the only one I'd wanna see live would be the beasties.

but if you UK guys can snap a few pics of the beasties, please do so. They are amazing live.

  5. now that I think of it, when I say "sometimes rarely still do," it's more to the frustration that not even Virgin Records in NYC has Rock The House :shakehead:

that is true, but I think its actually not being printed. I have seen He's the DJ a lot lately, especially at Virgin Records at Union Square, as well as copied of homebase at times, however I've never seen And in this corner or Code red, unless I special order them.

yes, I know this is off topic, but yes...welcome to the forum once again, ha ha.

  6. Well, thankfuly this is the internet, which is 24/7 so those who want to particiate should start working on what they want to contribute, then submit the works in a month or so. Then we can all work on figuring out how to get everything together. We all have some free time we can make for this stuff. And we have more than enough people.

I say we should start by submitting photos of ourselves in our JJFP t-shirts.

note: I know this post sounds like I'm trying to take this over, but I'm not, I'm aware this isn't my original idea, and its a community effort. I'm just trying to start things up a little bit.
