  1. Finally some good news :) "Apple insiders say that the just launched Antoine Fuqua-directed Will Smith-starrer Emancipation has drawn +27% new viewers to Apple TV+ and has become the No. 1 movie internationally including in Mexico, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Italy, France, Germany and Korea." https://deadline.com/2022/12/spirited-emancipation-selena-gomez-documentary-break-records-apple-original-films-poised-for-bigger-2023-1235200124/
  2. Just finished watching the movie. Will is a phenomenal actor. That is all. Fck the Oscars, the critics, the pres and that toxic industry.
  3. Some of the critics have lost their minds writing those reviews. I am getting Apple TV and will watch the film several times just to piss them off (in my head :)
  4. And so the PR circus begins. Can't wait to see the film. https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2022/11/emancipation-inside-will-smiths-unsparing-new-slave-drama
  5. From the Deadline piece: While the press is already scrutinizing what Apple will do with the film and whether Smith’s controversy will hobble what might have been a prohibitive Oscar favorite, sources said Apple will release the film in early December. As for Smith, real movie stars are rare. While their fortunes can ebb and flow, the top ones have a way of coming back, especially when the movie is good and this is said to be a career high point for Fuqua. This side of Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio, none has been more successful over the past two decades on a global scale than Smith.
  6. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/09/15/movies/oscar-hopefuls.amp.html There are still a few significant contenders yet to debut, like Damien Chazelle’s glitzy Hollywood drama “Babylon,” and the industry is buzzing that Apple will soon announce a year-end release for its big-budget slavery drama, “Emancipation,” even though the film’s leading man, Will Smith, was banned from attending the Oscars for the next decade.
  7. Appearantly Will is in Ecuador shooting a project for NatGeo. Yes Will back and lets get back to work.
  8. The two gorillas have already more views then the mea culpa video
  9. People would loose their **** if a solo deadshot movie was announced right now and oh man I would love to see it.
  10. This whole **** has given him publicity he never had before. If he was man enough he would admit he had malicious intensions and that the joke was not in the script. Him following Will on IG and Will never following him back is very telling. To make a joke like that on a stage like that and on a day like that about the wife of a fellow black actor who is about to make history I mean you better be his best friend and you better tell him about it prior. It wasn't his stand up show it was the Oscars for God's sake. Anyways just my few cents few months later.
  11. Will at the wedding of one of BB4Life directors https://www.instagram.com/p/CguBRK4ImE1/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= https://www.instagram.com/p/Cgof49DMu6m/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= Great to see him smiling.
  12. I'm sitting here at home watching I am legend on TV, one of five Will's films on TV this evening in my country lol is this what canceled looks like? Let the Hollywood PR folks do their job. Step 1 give it time, let him recover personally, also people need to let their emotions out even when its all anger. Step 2 remind people how great he is, make people miss him. Don't you worry. He will be just fine.
  13. I feel like if that was about the "haircut" Will and Chris would be on the next SNL laughing about it. This seems way deeper than that. Either Will is going through something or the other guy is not the innocent victim everyone seems to take him for. We'll see how this goes on. Will probably won't speak for a while though.
  14. Good move. Jada is a member though so it's not like he's completly cut off.
