This was an excellent read, I truly enjoyed the inside look.
Around season 3 or so, Will wanted the show to tackle social issues and FPOBA definitely did that.
On a side note, its amazing how much of a smash hit that song is. I was in a bar last weekend and the DJ threw it on and everyone went nuts. I was impressed because it was the full version of the song haha

Agreed with Brakes. I met him Atlantic City, NJ last year when I saw Jeff. Cool dude - didn't realize at the time he was affiliated with Lupe Fiasco and All-City Chess Club. lol
I think its one of the best beats Jeff ever made. I love how aggressive and hard it sounds. When I hear it, sometimes I think it's perfect for Nas. haha

I like how Nas addressed it, but FP addressed it in the Source back in 1997 (Puffy is on the cover of the issue). He says how when he was writing some songs, Nas would be like "I like this, but what if you flip it this way?" It was casual and minor collaboration between peers Nothing less, nothing more.
Any chance you could upload this? Take a couple pics of it and post it? I'd love to read that article ...not often FP was in the source LOL

I knew Nas really didn't do any writing for him....people love to discredit Will and his rhymes whenever they can without any factual information. I loved Nas's last album Life is Good and I hope him and JJFP do a track together one day.

Ahhh I thought I would've seen Tim, Kev, Brakes, Julie....etc in that video! Good episode, Skillz is too funny lol. Interesting thing about this video is how sketchy club promoters and personnel can be. I always get the impression that more so than not, they're a problem to deal with.
Oh and I gotta get that Jazzy and Dosage track "All About Da Art" that was played at the end!! That was dope!

I like following Ferno too from the "rookie" perspective. He's completely right about what you see in textbooks while in school, that must've been an incredible experience for him! Great episode. Skillz with the octopus joke....LOL

incredibly dope episode! Jeff, Steve and Ferno are so damn funny. Ferno's theory had me dying. Fluid is also a special little place for me too. Sept. 2009 is when I first met Jeff right outside after the show. Thank you too Mix Professor if he's reading this. I remember I was so nervous and asked Jeff a few questions like rapid-fire LOL.I was just so hyped. I really really tried to get out there one more time for the last show but I just couldn't make it work.
I may not be a sound expert but I can cosign that Fluid had a dope sound system. When I first walked into Fluid, before the crowd got there, the DJ...I really forget who, I wanna say DJ Mike Nyce dropped Jeff's "My Soul Aint For Sale" - my fav. track of TROTM and it sounded AMAZING. Such a great night - I'll never forget that. I think of that night everytime I look at my signed Code Red album cover. lol.

Steve's opening for this episode was hilarious. I almost just spit my coffee out because of how funny that was. This was pretty funny and my only complaint would be more of the Sway interview - well behind the scenes and some of Jimmy Fallon. Overall, great stuff.
BTW - that Dosage track at the beginning is a banger. Where can I grab that?

I've never seen that clip of JJFP either! Hopefully Fab let Jeff speak too but I laughed pretty hard when they said Will looked like he just sold a Buick...LOL!
