Will Smith Gets Trim in Dubai The Hollywood actor got his hair and beard shaped up by Beats and Cuts He became a household name as the family friendly Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and Will Smith is still making sure he keeps his appearance clean cut whilst in Dubai. The Grammy award winning rapper and Hollywood superstar called in the professionals when he needed a fresh haircut and asked for Beats and Cuts to shape up his barnet. Will, 45, was given the VIP treatment and had the company’s top barber Mohammad Amir make a trip to his hotel suite where he enjoyed views of the Emirate while getting his hairline and goatee fixed up. The After Earth actor is not the first big name star to become a client of Beats and Cuts with past customers including singer Jay Sean and Jay Z’s official tour DJ Young Guru. Beats and Cuts offers a cool environment to get stylish shaves, funky haircuts, men’s waxing, manicure, pedicure, hair treatments and facials whilst enjoying the vibe, listening to good music. Beats and Cuts is located opposite Jumeirah Beach Park on the second floor of Beach Park Plaza. http://www.ahlanlive.com/will-smith-gets-trim-in-dubai-467453.html

Will Smith and Tyrese - Indoor Skydiving With Dubai Prince Will Smith and Tyrese got high with the Crown Prince of Dubai this weekend ... but they weren't using a bong -- they were skydiving inside the worlds largest vertical wind tunnel. Tyrese and Smith hit up Inflight in Dubai on Sunday with Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum -- who's not only prince ... but also a semi-pro skydiver and poet. Sheikh and his buddies had no problem showing off their tunnel tricks in the video below for the two actors. We can't say the same for Smith. http://www.tmz.com/2014/01/05/will-smith-indoor-skydiving-dubai-prince-tyrese/

From Alfonso's Facebook: Here's another photo of James from our wedding. It is still hard to believe he is no longer with us. It feels like yesterday when I would drop by his dressing room and learn about some of the great Jazz music he would listen to. Such a warm, inspiring, wonderful man.

From Karyn's Facebook: Thank you to everyone who offered their prayers, condolences, and love over the last couple of very difficult days. James called me “Daughter.” Possibly more than he called me “Karyn.” It was something that I took to heart. He truly was a father to me. And he was my good friend. I was blessed to have had the privilege to know him and to spend so much of my life being loved by him. In the last couple of days, I’ve seen just how much James meant to those who never even met him. The role he embodied, of Uncle Phil, touched so many, and brought so much joy. It’s a legacy he would be proud of. Thanks again for all of your love. Please keep his family in your prayers. xx

Alfonso Ribeiro Remembers James Avery ... And All That Jazz The faux biological son of Uncle Phil on "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" has fond memories of their time together ... the most enduring of which involved down south music. Alfonso Ribeiro was leaving Mr. Chow when we asked him about the death of James Avery, and he was locked and loaded when we asked about what he remembers most. As you know ... James died New Year's Eve of complications from heart surgery. Judging from Alfonso, there's no doubt he'll be missed ... and remembered. From Jada's Facebook: This year has started with much reflection and gratitude considering the holidays has had its share of loss. This New Year's Eve, I celebrated my 16th wedding anniversary in Dubai. Those 16 years meant a hell of a lot considering I was not allowed to forget how short life truly is. I want to thank Tyrese, Maxwell and all our friends in Dubai for creating such an exuberant celebration for our anniversary. It meant everything. I'm wishing you all happiness, prosperity and most importantly...thee experience of deep love. Here's to 2014! J Btw...I hope the world at some point will be able to experience the joy of witnessing Tyrese and Maxwell singing together, because it is not a game;)

From Tatyana's Facebook (Karyn Parsons shared it on her Facebook too): I spent last night going through photos. I found these two from our final Friday night taping of Fresh Prince. We had a cake fight after shedding tears. People don't really understand that we knew how special our time together was. It wasn't special because of popularity or success, but because we were all together, sharing it. It's like it was all meant to be, and we could feel it. In the photo from left to right there's Jeff Pollack, Joseph Marcell, Ross Bagely Jr., Alfonso Ribeiro, Shelley Jensen our director, me, Karyn Parsons Sweet Blackberry, Quincy Jones and Will Smith. Jeff Pollack and James Avery left us. James was a philosopher king. He taught me to love history and poetry. He taught me that being an artist is one of the noblist professions. He gave me black baby dolls every Christmas. He used to joke that I'd visit him in the old actors age home when I got older. Every end is a beginning. I know James is at peace. Thanks everyone for all your kind words and thoughts. It means a lot to his family and friends. A Poem Of Friendship by Nikki Giovanni We are not lovers because of the love we make but the love we have We are not friends because of the laughs we spend but the tears we save I don't want to be near you for the thoughts we share but the words we never have to speak I will never miss you because of what we do but what we are together

From Janet's Facebook: I am home healing and was shocked to hear of James's passing. I think this incredible clip says it best. Acting with James was like a great doubles match! He was one of the best actors I have worked with in my many years. He was like a big strong boulder, that could either crush you or shield you. He was first and foremost an actor, classically trained, climbed that ladder step by step, role by role, to become one of the most powerful TV dads that had ever been created. My heart goes out to Barbara his real wife and family and I ask that you respect her place, as his real wife with regards to her husband with request for statements from me who simply but proudly played his TV wife Vivian Banks. RIP James, all the world is a stage, and we are all merely players in this production called LIFE.
