  1. :lolsign: I just read this whole inane topic message board and ppl definately somehow went from, "Hey, Will might have a word or two for Eminem on his new album," to debating this concept of a crazy, massive rap battle between the commercial-new-school and the true-to-the-game-old-school.

Sometimes I think every1 really needs to chill on the "Will doesn't get his respect" thing. Yeah there are the hatersssssssssss, but all in all, ppl who know rap know Will does his thing.

As for Slim, he has undeniably written some quality, passionate rhymes-- granted he's had some pretty lame stuff too (especially recently). So once upon a time he knocked Will. Whatever. The guy's taken a crap on pretty much every1 out there @ one pt or another-- I'm sure Will's over it. We are talking about a guy who once got in a confrontation w/ a sock puppet at the MTV Music Video Awards, after all.

In any case, if Will takes a shot or makes a joke at Em's expense, fine. But I don't think this is some type of earth-shattering development or whatever.

:ahoy: (someday, I'll run out of random smileys to end my msgs with...)

  2. Pretty sick rhymes, bigted, but... comon now!!!! You really think the Eagles have a chance?? :lookhehe: Only time will tell, I guess, but as a New Englander who's been watching this team over the past few years-- lets just say I feel pretty comfortable with the our chances.

I say: Pats over Phili, 27-14.

All Hail Bill Belichick!:bowdown:

  3. I assume Will's album will be released on iTunes-- most of his others are up there-- but will this date correspond w/ the US release, or...? Anyone know the deal?

Basically I'm trying to figure out if I can snag the album before the late release date here in the states. I won't stand for having to be patient. Gosh.

:slap: (2 smileys slapping each other)

  4. yup, today a few of my m8s were ova and FPOBA came on and we all rapped it without noticin untill the last minute....haha

AH!!!!! he said "mates"! it took me like 10 minutes to read it correctly w/ the "8", and then it absolutely killed me-- again the easily amused thing.... to take a word outta my own local jargon, it was wicked pissa :highfive: (high five for that!)

  5. hahah im not actually that ignorant to think that every1 in the UK is sophisticated and drinks tea-- but that is definately what comes to my mind when i think of your country

    or at least england

scotland i think of willie the groundskeeper from the simpsons and ireland i think of the lucky charms leprachaun

  6. if you dont wanna hear a new JJFP track be quiet!!!

AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! (screamin like the crowd in brooklyn on the live track on "he's the dj" when Will says to be quiet if you have AIDS.... oooooooh, the crazy innocent 80's)

Seriously, tho, this album should be off the hook. If it isnt, I will immediately bombard this message board with griping complaints like I did about "Switch."

Hopefully, however, I will just get to post the following message...

...and this humble, animated smiley face will indicate to all that I have given another JJFP classic my seal of approval.

    Which is key.

    ...

    That is all.

  7. "I'm Looking For The One (To Be With Me)" may have a similar impact like "Summertime" becuz they were both produced by Hula + K. Fingers. Those guys came up with some crazy beats and JJ+FP had great chemistry with them.

I like the song alot, but one thing that won't allow me 2 compare it 2 "Summertime" and "Brand New Funk" is that, since it's a party song, the lyrics just aren't that focused. It bugged me for years that the title and chorus have nothing 2 do with the lyrics.

I know nothin about the producers that u ppl are talkin about and I've never seen the video, but this song is not one of my favorites for the reasons listed above :ditto: (gotta love workin in the smileys)

one of my pet peeves is rap songs w/ loose rhymes ("switch", wut?) and any songs that have a chorus that is catchy and there only for the purpose of being a chorus, since none of the versus really tie into the hook at all

overall, not one of JJFP's best, even tho the beat & melody is kinda catchy... there are plenty of artists who can make a catchy tune

:ridepony: (i just discovered that there are an obscene number of unnecessary smileys to enjoy if u actually take the time to click "show all")

  8. yeah, i guess i know JJFP are big in the UK, but it still amuses me to no end that the ppl in this forum span the globe that much-- especially countries that somehow make me laugh through stereotypes: britain (sophisticated accent with tea time and whatnot) and australia (steve irwin poking vicious wild animals with a stick and screaming "crikey")... and although this clearly isnt that big of a deal, i cant get over how hee-lariously cool that is to me

    wut now, wanna fight? :ali:

    laterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  9. i am convinced that aside from the carlton dance and jazz gettin thrown outta the house by uncle phil (yay for running gags) the best thing about fresh prince of bel air was the theme song

mostly because everybody knows the lyrics

    everybody

this is not a JJFP-fan-only phenomena

nor is it exclusive to fans of the show

everyone from ages... 10 to 30, id say, knows all the words by heart... yes EVERYone this age... in the world

my proof for this theory lies in one of my favorite stupid stories in high school looking back now as a senior... in sophomore chem class-- which was kind of a joke, w/ a teacher who couldnt keep things under control-- starting low at first and slowly gaining power and volume until we were all rappin together in unison, my entire class sang the fresh prince theme song, from start to end, in the middle of a lecture... we enjoy finding odd ways to disrupt the learning process

    good timessssssssssssssss

    ....

allright, this post admittedly makes no sense... but really, every1 knows that song, its hilariously ridiculous... soooooo... smell ya lata :cya:

  10. i am officially thoroughly impressed by the wide array of places u ppl are from.... norway? belgium (top notch waffles)? seriously??? for some reason that BLEW MY MIND

    :touche: (insert random smileys dueling)

there are officially more members from the UK than the US too

    how CRAZY is THAT?

probably not that crazy to most of you

    .....

ok, thats enough time spent marveling at geography and whatnot

  11. :werd:  Being an active member of this site has many benefits.  You think getting Switch is good?  You need to stick around to get the WHOLE exprerience

:werd: Just stick around and you will be pleased!!

    :werd:

    It's worth it.

GOSH i guess i should stick around and absorb the fantasticness! :scared2: (yeah this post was 90% an excuse to use that smiley)

  12. im pretty sure the audio is gone or sumthin so its irrelevant @ this pt... but it IS possible to be a JJFP fan and not have any real desire to be part of an ongoing online forum about em... they just wanna hear the musak-- and theres really nuthin wrong with that.

    just my opinion :cya:

  13. as ive said before, i am amused so easily it is sometimes frightning, and while perusing some of forum member's infos i realized theres alot of international ppl in these forums-- by international, i mean not american (yeah, im a self-centered american, wut now)

i myself am from boston massachusetts (the tea party and red sox and whatnot)

i noticed that hero is from australia-- which immediately equates in my mind with kangaroos, kouala bears, steve "croc hunter" irwin, and foster's beer... fine im an idiot...but all of that stuff is exceedingly cool, and as ive never been out of the US of A, i find this simply FASCINATING

anyhoo, in conclusion, where are all you crazy JJFP listeners from?? aaaaaaaand GO! :cya:

  14. sorry, just posting to listen to the damn new song... :nhawong:

that's what i mean!! :bang: people like that drive me crazy!! :bang:

    :ditto:

perhaps an easy way to eleviate this is to make the audio forum available to guests who havent posted? is this possible?

  15. my first real 'new topic' post, which basically consisted of my listening to alot of music while i put off doin hwk (senior slide, what)... check it outtttttttt
