If Will doesnt release something this year, then "I think im done" with his music. ridiculous. Is anyone as frustrated as me? Will sucks. Plain and simple. At least we can always relay on Jeff where showbiz didnt eat him up.

Snoop Dogg Busted for Marijuana
Another day, another rapper in trouble with the law. The latest rap star to have brushes with authorities is Snoop Dogg, who was ticketed Wednesday night for marijuana possession. Cops caught the hip-hop luminary in possession of weed outside a Manhattan nightclub. His lawyer, Donald Etra, told the New York Post that they intend to contest the ticket.

i dont know what's the big prob with the Marihuana ... i know a lot of ppl which are smoking and a lot that are getting drunk ... and the problem is always with the second one , i have never heard ppl that was using weed to hit somebody with a car or to start a fight or something ..

Does it really matter, it was Tims freedom to say he thinks its trash and thats all he did.
Did anyone say he couldn't give an opinion? I just said opinion is all it is and that, the reason Will lets K make this music is because he's giving him creative freedom.

How can it not be creative freedom? It's creative freedom on questionable content, but its still creative freedom. Creative freedom is letting people control their own releases, it's not about whether someone thinks its creative or not. It's allowing an artist to release what they want.
If you don't like this kid, and if you don't give a **** about what he does, stop talking about him and focus on artists you do like.

The whole thing is dissapointing, i'd hoped we would have another decent artists to listen to like we got Kel Spencer, but u have to admit this is rubbish. Will had his hands tied by the record company too and he didnt make trash like this.
And copying what everyone else does isnt necessarily creative freedom, its doing what will make u sucessful not making what u love.
The beat on "comin like im sposed to" is good but i know it from somewhere, is it usher or something.
It's all opinion Julie, many people think WS did make trash music, you think K Smith makes trash music. No-one is right.
I would also consider that creative freedom, because it's still K making the decision on the music he puts out. Whether he does it for love or money.

Maybe its just me, but I fail to see how the music K makes can make anyone disappointed in Will. Call me crazy.

Again, it's about the creative freedom, I'm sure Will has given K advice, but none that would radically change K's approach to music. You have to let people make the music they want to make in my opinion. It's not Will's job to make K's music, which is what effectively would happen if he started to influence the way he makes music. K might realise what he is making is wack, or he may continue to make the music he is making, but, he deserves to make that decision by himself.
I'll say it again... If Will was to get involved with K's work and have an influence on his releases, wouldn't that be Will doing to K, what most of us disagree with A&R's doing to Will?
Also, as a side note, it's obvious K wants to be successful, and quite frankly, making music like Will, probably wont make you successful nowadays. The hip hop audience has evolved, K is establishing in this generation of music, if he makes music artists in the 80's would make, success would be a long shot.

Will may be letting K Smith have "creative freedom" but the dude is using his studio..he's on Will's label.. I would have thought Will would have had more influence over him and his music.. remember when Will's grandmother wrote some notes on Will's rhymebook..well Will needs to do the same for K-Smith

But, do we not say that A&R's are stopping artist having creative freedom on albums? Especially in Will's case with the movie songs being on albums, and them having for the most part, the final decision of what gets cut and what gets used. Single releases etc. I think Will just wants K to make his own music, and most probably learn from his own mistakes.
The note from Wills grandmother was in reply to curse words, K stated in an interview that there wasn't gonna be a PA sticker on his album. If Will was to get involved with K's work and have an influence on his releases, wouldn't that be Will doing to K, what most of us disagree with A&R's doing to Will?

It's called letting K have creative freedom. It's his career not Will's.
K isn't making trash music, he's making music that certain people dont like. Opinion. The opinion of poeple who don't like his music, aren't stating facts, the same way people who like his music arent stating facts, because as I have said before, music is only good or bad by opinion.
I'm not liking his latest music either, I think a lot of it is wack (I do like some songs) but thats because it's not acquired to my taste, 1,000s of people will like it. It's all about the era you establish yaself in.

The fact that it is different from previous JJFP material is another reason I like it so much. It was JJFP coming out of a comfort zone, and experimenting with styles and to me, it turned out monumental. I also think, the experimentation and versatility shown in Summertime is what allowed JJFP to make an album with the variations in Code Red. If you say it's incomparable to previous work, then to be truthful, we can't hate on albums like B2R, because based on previous materials content, we have nothing to compare it to. It's about what you as a person like more. For example, in terms of hip hop... commercial new age, and old skool commercial. In terms of content, they aren't comparable, but everyone makes the comparison.
So yeah, I think it's their best :lolsign:

Sums up summer perfectly, easily their best IMO. It's flawless IMO. Production, lyrics, flow, appeal, feeling. Flawless.

So we're already giving the Lakers the title now Ty? That's gotta be a joke right. Yes, the acquisition of Gasol is great for the team, but I think a certain team from San Antonio may have something to say about you're prediction. And I wouldn't say its a banker that the Celtics are going to the finals either, there is a lack of post season experience in that team, and they will come up against a Pistons team who know the playoffs and each other like the back of their hand. The trades this season have definitely made for a much more open post season, but at this stage, I think it's ludicrous to think any of those trades are making teams bankable for a championship. As Dallas and the Warriors proved last year, you're regular season record doesn't make you a force or not in the playoffs. That's just my opinion, Gasol is a great addition, but he doesn't automatically make them champions, especially having to come through the hard competition in the west. The same as KG/Allen dont make the Celtics champions, even as impressive as they have been this season, I believe they are doing great, but they are also lucky they are in the east.

I can understand the frustration, but lets be reasonable. Of course I want Will to continue making music, but if he's done with new material, I respect his decision. Good things have to come to an end one day. But at least we have 20+ years of material to look back on.
