Guest Prince Posted July 27, 2004 Report Share Posted July 27, 2004 Apparently according to some people here the fact that I eat haggis (one of the traditional foods here in Scotland) is pretty disgusting, I guess just seeing it inside a sheeps stomach when you're cooking it just puts some people right off! You should try it, I think you would be pleasantly surprised (just don't ask what's in it. Read on if you are curious...). # 1 sheep's lung # 1 sheep's stomach # 1 sheep heart # 1 sheep liver # 1/2 lb fresh suet # 3/4 cup oatmeal # 3 onions, finely chopped # 1 teaspoon salt # 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper # 1/2 teaspoon cayenne # 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg # 3/4 cup stock Guys, you haven't lived until you've eaten haggis! Every 25th January basically every family in Scotland eats one to celebrate Burn's night (Robert Burns, the National Poet who wrote "Old Lang Syne" which FP mentions in Will2K and is sung across the whole of Scotland at New Year).
