LINA wants you to give… More! *** Lina has given YOU an amazing opportunity to pry open the door of the music industry by appearing on her hot new track. A classic Lina track, “"More"” is bluesy, soulful, deep and creative. Having already written the first verse and chorus, Lina is now leaving the rest up to YOU! Not sure if you have what it takes? CONTEST DETAILS: The “More” Writing Contest is open to any creative person with the desire to express their self through song. The contest provides you with an opportunity to complete Lina's song by writing an intro, second verse, or third verse. As stated above, Lina has already written a first verse and the chorus, but she has left open the intro and third verse for a poet or rapper, and the second verse for a writer (to write a verse for Lina to sing). Up to three winners will have a chance to be featured on this incredible song which will be included on an upcoming Lina project! HOW TO ENTER: Step 1: Download “"More"” MP3 Step 2: Write your verse to the intro, second verse, or third verse (1 st verse: poet or rapper/ 2 nd verse: writer/ 3 rd verse: poet or rapper) Step 3: Writers: write your verse to “"More"” and type out the lyrics Rappers/Poets: Record a demo version of “"More"” including your new verse(s), type out the lyrics Step 4: E-mail your submission in the correct format to contest@lina-music.com - MP3 format is acceptable for audio - Any text format is acceptable for lyrics (e-mail, doc, txt, etc.) - Original material only (Submission must be copyrighted by writer/owner) Step 5: Wait for a conformation e-mail reply, which will include a Contest Entry Form Step 6: Complete the Contest Entry Form and return to contest@lina-music.com Deadline for Entries: January 28, 2005 Click here to download “"More"” (Right click and save as) First Verse: I don't know why, the whole world has no ceiling Can't tell you why, an ending is just a beginning But I know there's more to a rose than the pedals, there's also the thorns There's more to your smile, it even comes with a charm Chorus: There's more to these words than just literal meaning There's more to myself if my heart should stop beating There's more to the rain as it falls and sky's become clear More… there's got to be more ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to any person 14 years of age and up (under 18 require additional parental consent form). Persons who currently, or have previously been under contract with a major publishing or record company are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Employees, officers and directors of MoodStar Recordings, Hidden Beach Recordings, Sponsors, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, contest, fulfillment and marketing agencies, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling & spouse) and persons living in the same households as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in the Contest. OFFICIAL RULES: One entry per person. Any attempt by a person to use multiple email accounts to submit more than once may result in disqualification. Entries that are incomplete, corrupted, submitted in incorrect format, or that include non original material will be voided. All submissions are required to be copyrighted by writer/owner prior to being submitted. Failure to do so will discharge all future copyright infringement claims. All winners will be required to submit dated proof of copyright ownership prior to accepting the grand prize. Winner(s) will share in 15% of the entire songs publishing and copyright, to be equal split amongst winners (non negotiable). Winners must agree to have their negotiated publishing percentage administered by Starfel Music Publishing at a rate of 10%, allowing the administrator the right to issue all licenses worldwide, including the right to register or change song, without limit per Lina's record deal. By entering the Contest, participants release, discharge and hold harmless Lina, MoodStar Recordings, Hidden Beach Recordings, Sponsor, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, agencies and the respective officers, directors, employees and agents of each of the foregoing, from any and all damages whether direct or indirect, which may be due to or arise out of participation in the Contest or any portion thereof. There is no guarantee that the song “"More"” will be included on a commercially released Lina project or album.
