i mean he changed so much it really awes me.. like his "party" song on infinite has this chorus-
"we came to do this tonight, we dont want a fight
we dont want a feeling to be up tight
we came here to do this tonight, hope everyones alright
till the morning light."
i mean basically thats some jjfp lets have a good time music.. a party song of his now.... i dont think we need any examples of the decline. but with what brakes said, on his song never 2 far he says (paraphrased) "no matter who you are or where you are you can do what you want and can be a star". and besides the (dare i say) positive-ish lyrics his rhyme patterns are amazing and i looked on his other albums (slim shady LP and marshall mathers LP) and nothing comes close... and those are considered his best... and that inspired me to write this verse for my new album which is crazy.

I think what the argument here is that AJ and Turntable have a difference in their personal definition of commercial hip-hop...I think what AJ is saying is that if somebody is not being true to himself and just does music for the money its commercial. Whereas Turntable is saying that anything easily marketable is commercial.
Me personally I think there has to be minimum a level of skill displayed for me to take interest (so I can't really mess with Mc Hammer, who is of course very talented but displays limited microphone skills) and of course subject matter and beat selection matter...and it often puts me off if an artist portrays something he/she dosen't live.
i know im late on this whole argument but if i were to add in commercial mcs, common is commercial, his songs go and testify were all on mtv. even kweli was on wildstyle on that nick cannon show and i remember seeing the "i try" video on mtv too. so i mean not all commercial rappers are bad. but i agree with the two defintion thing, i mean jjfp pretty much brought rap into the mainstream, espcially with fpoba and all.

i was reading these lyrics... and they really are amazing. the rhymes are rediculas..
I'm more dangerous than a loaded chamber is
A major risk to a plagiarist
That's how I became paranoid
Chewin my fingernails, pullin my hair annoyed
To get jacked, attacked and cracked in two
Smackin through 'til youre black and blue for actin true
if he put out these kinds of songs on every album he would be a legend. but instead he kicks out garbage which is sad that it went to waste
EDIT: i just downloaded infinite and wow.. i am blown away, im on trackr right now and its so good. nice beats, none of those eminem beats you can tell he made just be the sound. and his lyrics are genius.. one i can remember i like alot it
"come clean like [he was] jackin off in a shower"
thats soo clever hahha
i mean i feel like he was an MC and the money got him. its sad. i mean this album didnt have like any violence just real rhymes. this only supports what i said before in that he could have been a legend.
i went through my eminem on my computer after i listened to this and deleted song by song. listen to evil deeds by him and then "its ok" off of infinite.. its jaw dropping the difference

hey, it was tonight and it worked out good. i was gonna have the crowd help out with the chorus but i didnt do tht cause i felt like there was not enough people that would do it. crowd size was about 30 people. not very big. but it was well recieved, alot of people told me that it was really good and better than they expected. two people told me i sounded like snoop dogg, so i guess i can add that to my "sounds like" colum on myspace. in terms of MCness all i really did was start a clap. it was real fun. we jjust messed around, my friend on the drums (we planned this) would speed up the tempo and then slow it down and i would have to rap really fast and whatnot, it was really a fun time. so people took pictures and video, but not on my cameras so ill have to see if i can get it. i did precipitaion and where i stand but they sounded clompletly differnt. cause my ther friend who amazing at piano (gscotty on the forum) just messed around with us too. and at one point played the mario theme. so it was all good. ill try to get up some picturs or video if i can get a hold on them

thanks alot guys, i had like a reheseral at his house today and just went over hand signals i would do for him to like drop the beat or whatever. it was alot of fun since hes my best friend and we can just mess around, its gonna be just me and him on stage too so it will be pretty relaxed.
i wanna live up to calling myself an MC so im thinking of ways to work the crowd and stuff. but dont give me advice till after i have a video!
thanks for the luck you guys~

sounded like an epic beat. i liked it, i have been sleeping on him latly but i still have his two albums. so i think i might wake up for his 3rd

its gonna me and the drummer of my band and i will be doing abround 3 songs from Neutral Ground.
i hope to have it taped and piuctures, which i will share if i get them.

-
yeah im on the track thats crazy as hell
i made the cd
you didnt hahaha.. if you meant that in a literal sense.... cause im literally printing out the labels that go on the actual cds right now
--i burned 5 for a local cd shop that would say they would sell them there and 10 to sell by hand
-
thanks alot- thats amazing what you did i really appreciate it.. i know my beats arent that good but like you said you get better with time.. and yeah i worked really hard on this. you know whats strange? i burned them on a cd and they sounded good (volume) but through my ipod or listening to them on a computer they are real low,...
but thanks again

Here it is, since the album wont be the same over the internet then giving out a physical cd (thats what i mean). I will include all album art with the album, even the book pages. So please, for goodness sakes, enjoy and give feedback... ive worked countless hours on this. Denied parties for this... this is my first album.
I Hope that works
p.s. my parents helped me with a legal thing so if any of this is plagurized we can do something about it :bat:
