haha good question...

thats cool though that he liked JJFP....im sure Eminem probably secretly liked "Parents Just Don't Understand". He can even relate to that in a way.
2. please....this is such crap. no offense. All these people can literally buy themselves outta jail. Plus, celebrities get away with so much crap its not even funny.

According to celebrities, they are above the common people and above the law.

In which no one is. :werd:
3. "8:05, the alarm clock sound
I grab my shoe and turn the damn thing down
But now it's 9 o'clock and I still ain't up up yet
Work on time, yeah I admire the concept"

- The Things That U Do

"the temperature's about 88
hop in the water plug just for old times sake
break to ya crib change your clothes once more
cause you're invited to a barbeque that's starting at 4
sitting with your friends cause y'all remincise
about the days growing up and the first person you kiss
and as I think back makes me wonder how
the smell from a grill could spark up nostalgia
all the kids playing out front
little boys messin round with the girls playing double-dutch
while the DJ's spinning a tune as the old folks dance at your family reunion
then six o'clock rolls around
you just finished wiping your car down
it's time to cruise so you head to the summertime hangout
it looks like a car show
everybody come lookin real fine
fresh from the barber shop or fly from the beauty salon
every moment frontin and maxin
chillin in the car they spent all day waxin
leanin to the side but you can't spead through
Two miles an hour so everybody sees you
there's an air of love and of happiness
and this is the Fresh Prince's new defintion of summer madness

4.
I've got Kanye's back on this one. I can't agree that he's got no rapping skillz...u have 2 check out more than just a couple of his trax. Imagine if someone came here and judged Will's talent on the mic with "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It"...haha...we'd obviously tell them 2 buy the album and check him out. That's how it is with Kanye. "All Falls Down" may not show his skillz, but check out his album...it's genious.
So true. I downloaded some of the album and it's really good. I gotta go buy it sometime soon. Kanye's got skill. It's there.
5. The first single will be with Mary J. Blige as was reported in a UK interview.

For real though, FP needs more respect. Columbia screwed his hip-hop image and street credit with the crap they pulled. Tommy Motola and the rest of the idiots thought that by cross-promoting his films and music, it would sell well. Well yeah, sounds like a plan, but it wouldn't continue to work. Having "Black Suits Comin' " as the first single off Born to Reign burned the album and Will's respect as an emcee. What should have been the first single was "How Da Beat Goes". I don't get how 1,000 kisses was released. No offense, but that's just not the single type song. You didn't see "Chasin' Forever" or "Afro Angel" as singles did you? Nope. Again, Columbia screwed up.

I'm thinking FP should go back to Jive. He may be old yes, but Jive always did a great job with promotion of JJFP. Remember it wasn't their fault "And In This Corner" didn't sell well. Jive would revive the original JJFP image of fun hip-hop. Not FP being a bigshot hollywood sellout whos desperatly trying to make music as Columbia promoted him as. So what if Jive is full of pop artists. JJFP could easily get around that.

Who knows. I'm just dying to hear some new music.
6.
So Fresh was Released (Technically). There is a single or 2 out, and a video. It got mad play on BET back in 99/2000. Sony, however, didn;t want much to do with the video. It was actually will who had to do most of, everything, himself. Hot video though. it plays into the Will2k video. Jeff uses that thing to go back to the 80s, where verything kicks off.

As for freakin' it. Yea it's been a while since I've seen it, but it was a good video. i don't care what people say, it's a good track. not the best in willennium, but good non-the-less.
Was it really a hot hit on BET? wow thats really cool. See how Sony missed out. wow they really suck.

I know So Fresh was released on vinyl but is it out on CD anywhere?
7. I've been listening to this song a lot lately and I gotta admit, it's one of the deepest songs ever. I love the lyrics so much. I use to never care for this track much, but as I grow older and comin' more mature, I understand this and it's dope.

"from the mountain to the valley to the deep blue sea
all I can do is pray that you wanna be with me
I'm saying it's from my heart that's how you know that it's true
yo I can't wait to be with you"

thats some really good stuff. I know this track was recorded for Will's first wife but wow, he really ripped this song. You can just tell by listening to the emotion in his voice, that he really put hard work and really meant word for word (like he always does) in this song.
8.
why do you all guess sony wantd that song? why couldnt will hav made that song becouse he likes the music? And releasing so fresh as the second single? So fsh did get released as a single wich was a mistak in my eys, maybe will wantd to film a video or soemthing but as a singl it wouldnt work ( singles are made to promote and be comercially succesfull, not as art)
Why do we guess? Look at it this way, Sony wanted to use the same formula that Will had with Big Willie Style and "gettin' jiggy wit it" in general. They were looking for another famous "catch phrase". Will and Sony tried with "Freakin' It" but it failed. Who says "Freakin' it" or "lets freak this"? lol. nobody. I still hear people say "lets get jiggy wit it" or whatever.

Too bad that single poorly represented what Willenium was all about. Don't get me wrong, the lyrics are absolutly great, but just the whole production of the song with trackmasters and using that same "Love Hangover" (i think) sample that is used alot in hip-hop, the song came out wrong. He could have totally changed that song.

So Fresh would have made sense to be the second single. It would have picked up where Will 2k left off. Plus, it would have been a hit on channels like BET. It's a collaboration of 4 elite hip-hop artists and this song cleary represents them and what rap was back then and what rap should be now. Will had to pay for the video all by himself and dumbass Sony never promoted it and left it hanging. Basically Will wasted his money in a way. The song was released as a single but only as a "Promo" to DJ's.

This was an example of Sony screwing Will with Willenium. :cussing:
9.
In my opinion da butta is very good. I never skip this track and I think that with songs like this, will 2k and so fresh, willennium becomes a classic hip hop album. Probably u don't like it, but willennium needs it to be compleate!! :dj:
Definatly, just I woulda prefered MC Lyte or Queen Latifah but its all good.
10. I had no problem listening to that. It was funny and Will did handle it all well.

I wish they asked him more music questions but Boom! was definatly a shock to hear. I thought he would say maybe something from the first 3 JJFP records like "Then She Bit Me" or whatever. That's the first I heard him menchon anything from Code Red in an interview. :werd:
