  1. Ive got a big set of songs from guys on my production company as well for use. we also need to make sure everyone who's involved keeps up with one another or it could fall to pieces. I used to have a shoutcast radio station with a bunch of other guys and once one person gives up on the project it crumbles. Lol. But yeah, its shouldnt be a problem with this group since most of us involved have been here since the old board and tim always manages to keep everything in check.

  2. Hey I would love to be involved. with my studio setup at home it would be a breeze to set up and ive got sum on air experience. Since i am the worlds laziest board poster it would be a great way for me to finally interact with one of yall. Plus you gotta have sumone reppin Canada!!!

  3. You would be able to see everything as it wuz originally recorded with out any gates, compressors or effects added to vocals or any insturments for that matter. it wouldnt sound that good at all considering how heavily hip hop music is compressed and the drums (if not digital) are gated a hell of a lot. it would sound more like a live version if u just had the 24 track tape player and not any of the units used on the track.

Like i said its not really worth the buy unless u jsut want to have it. and mind u tapes start to break apart after 20 years if they arent dumped into digital. And thanks for the invite to post Wes, ive been telling Tim for years that im going to start posting more but i just get so caught up with work sumtimes. but now that im back in skool full time i get a few minutes more a day so im gonna give it another attempt. See im starting with the psoting already haha!

  4. most i would say no. but there still are sum heavy duty analog freeks out there. even with the sampling rate capabilities of 192kb/s and 96 bit rrecording we are very clsoe but ntoe qutie at the same level of analog recording. to teh regular iear u would never knwothe difference but to well trained ears u may notice a small drop in the low end.(you need to be a real pro to even tell nowadays)

but to answer ur question yes there still are artists that record on analog and then just use digital to edit. but that is still on a very rare occasion. i can tell u that u will maybe find one hip hop/pop/rnb artist that does this nowadays if ur lucky. also this is only in the world of music. when it comes to post production, televisoin and film digital is now the reigning king.

glad i could clear that up for u Wes. hope i didnt jstu confuse u more but lest put it this way:

digital = 96% in music 100% in everythign else

analog = ~4% used in music and never used in anything else anymore

    Peace

  5. U guys are so far off. this is a master 2 inch 24 track studer tape of the track summertime. this is literally whut they used to mix the song for the album. it can be real because JIve would litterally kill anyone who managed to get a hold of this. with this u could make an acapella, insturmental or acoustic track of summertime. you could litterally strip off or add anything to the song and make ur own copy. that includes changes fp's vocals. but like i siad jive owns the masters and this should actually be locked up at the battery studios vault. i highly suggest that no one buy this becasue i guarrantee that jive iwll be knocking at the buyers door. trust me im at audio engineering skool and this is not a video tape. id be happy to answer any more questions.

  6. I enjoyed the documentary. It added a breath of fresh air to the set. I wish Alfonso and Karyn could have also been a part of it but i guess u cant ge3t everything that u want. The seinfeld sets had inside looks to specific episodes that featured the cast members recalling events behind the scenes during those episodes. Maybe we will get to see that on upcoming sets. U cant expect the network to add a ton of features to a show that may not sell huge numbers in stores. For example, some people have opted no to buy the set because the show is still in high syndication on television. Ah well it seem to be selling well here in vancouver so maybe we can expect more from upcoming sets of the show!!!

  7. Ya Marcus send me a burned cd with the streets know that, the air force one parody and about 7 more freestyles. He also sent me 2 copys of the 12" of the The Streets Know That/The Promised Land and a small The Streets Know That EP Poster. With note on the album the last time i talked to Marcus he said that Kel wuz performing all around NYC and that they were planning on dropping the EP in July for the streets and a commercal release in November. That wuz all in 2004. Has yet to have happened and i never really followed up with any more questions for Marcus after Kel's site went down. I will probably get down to it one of these days.

  8. IT seems that miss jones wuz suspended. Heres whut ?uestlove jsut posted on the okayplayer site:

Hot 97 has "suspended indefinitely" Miss Jones' morning show. While many sources cite a song that trivialized the suffering of tsunami victims as the cause of this action, Hot 97's explanation differs drastically. Okayplayer was contacted today at 5:45 a.m. by Hot 97's publicist, Kathy Moreno. She stated, "After weeks of research, we have discovered that Miss Jones was the primary cause of the tsunami. Apparently, when dangerous levels of suck are transmitted through radio waves, dangerous seismological ramifications are almost a guarantee." She continued, "The song was actually a red herring. We at Hot 97 apologize for the horrible results of our programming and will make a concerted effort to suck less."
