Willow Smith's Album Is Coming 'Very Soon,' Teyana Taylor Reveals Songs are 'very her,' Taylor says at 'Madea's Big Happy Family' premiere. With the crazy amount of success, downloads and radio plays derived from Willow Smith's chart-smashing "Whip My Hair" and follow-up single, "21st Century Girl," the precocious little 10-year-old has a lot of people wondering exactly when she'll drop a full-length album. According to musician/actress Teyana Taylor, who is writing a few tracks for Smith, that release date is inching closer and closer, and fans of "Whip My Hair" will love what they hear. At the premiere of "Madea's Big Happy Family" on Tuesday night, Taylor told MTV News of her work with Smith, "It's coming along great — very her. When you hear it, you're gonna love it." Though she's grown up in and around Hollywood, with her parents being Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow is still a newbie to the music biz. Taylor, who appeared on MTV's hit "My Super Sweet 16," said she sees a little of herself in the young Ms. Smith. "She reminds me of a little me," Taylor said. "I love her style. She's amazing, so [i'm] very excited." Taylor revealed that the tracks she is working on will be in the same vein as Smith's previous singles, describing them as "up-tempo, fun, dance, young, fresh, new, in the now." And when we might hear that album? "Very soon," Taylor promised. "Sooner than you know." Smith has been a very busy bee over the past few months. DVD Review - The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Complete Sixth Season By Sam McPherson || Filed April 17th, 2011 It's the show that launched one omnipresent career. Since his six-year stint as the star of NBC's sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, actor Will Smith has been in virtually every movie ever made (well, quite a few, at least). Watching the sixth and final season of Fresh Prince, it's really easy to see the charisma that led Smith to his A-lister status. He's able to deliver even the lamest lines with an earnestness that you can't help but laugh at. Of course, his character, also named Will, isn't incredibly deep (what sitcom characters are?), but what little range Smith is given here, he really does his best with it. The supporting cast, for the most part, is gold. While Alfonso Ribeiro's Carlton is probably the most well-known, it's actually James Avery's Uncle Phil that is the heart of the show - especially in the surprisingly emotional last season. There are tons of tearjerking moments that surprisingly pack an emotional punch, mostly due to the strong bond that has developed between Phil and Will. It's been years since I watched Fresh Prince as part of Nick-at-Nite, but watching the finale, I found myself feeling as though I'd come on a long journey with the entire banks family, even though I'd only really seen a couple of episodes. That's pretty good writing. There are some fun guest appearances throughout the season as well, with the best undoubtedly being William Shatner in the episode "Eye, Tooth," in which he, Will, and Carlton, get high on laughing gas in a dentist's office mishap, and go to a talk show completely wasted. It's a strange episode to be sure, but it's simply hilarious. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Complete Sixth Season hits stores on April 19. Video: What "I Am Legend" Zombies Almost Looked Like Special effects artist Steve Johnson has been unveiling concept art, costume design and animatronics tests for such movies as Ang Lee's 2003 "Hulk" and Tim Burton's scrapped "Superman Lives." And now, Johnson has posted a video showing his work on Will Smith's 2007 sci-fi film "I Am Legend." Apparently director Francis Lawrence initially wanted the "infected" zombies to be played by actors. But after a few tests, the helmer realized that he wouldn't be able to get the performances that he's looking for and opted to go entirely CG. Johnson's video shows what the actors would have looked like in the movie. Nicolas Cage was arrested Saturday morning in New Orleans. The actor, 47, who is filming a movie in the area, was taken into custody and charged with domestic abuse and disturbing the peace after an argument in the French Quarter with wife Alice Kim, according to the New Orleans Police Department. "Cage and his wife were standing in front of a residence that he insisted was the property the couple was renting. She disagreed, and Cage grabbed her by the upper arm and pulled her to what he believed was the correct address. There were no visible signs of injury on his wife's arm," the NOPD said in a statement. "The actor then began striking vehicles and later attempted to get into a taxi. At that point, an officer who had been flagged down by onlookers drove up on the couple, immediately observed that Cage was heavily intoxicated and ordered him out of the cab, which prompted Cage to start yelling. The officers subsequently took Cage to Central Lock-up." Michael Stuhlbarg Joins 'Men in Black 3' (Exclusive) Michael Stuhlbarg, one of the key players on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and the star of the Coen brothers’ A Serious Man, has been cast in Men In Black 3. Will Smith and Josh Brolin lead the cast of the third installment of Columbia’s sci-fi comedy being directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and currently in production. The 3D movie is scheduled for a May 25, 2012 release. The studio isn’t revealing too many details about the film, although it is known to feature a time travel element, allowing Brolin to play a young Tommy Lee Jones and Alice Eve, a young Emma Thompson, as the MIB agents try to save the world in 1969. Stuhlbarg will play a character called “Griffin." Sharlto Copley circled the role late last year, but a deal never materialized. Part one of the finale for “Love That Girl” aired on Monday, with Martin Lawrence’s first appearance coming at the midway point of the show. Wearing a pinstripe suit with a pink hat and matching shoes, Lawrence fully embodied Uncle Gerald, an annoying houseguest who quickly overstays his welcome at Tyana’s home. Martin will continue his guest starring stint on “Love That Girl” next Monday on part two of the finale. Men in Black 3 Rescues Coney Island’s Oldest Building We’re singing “Hooray for Hollywood, that phony super Coney Hollywood”! Not only is Men in Black 3 filming in Coney from May 2 through 6, they’ve leased Coney Island’s oldest building, the Grashorn, from Thor Equities and rescued it from oblivion. A construction crew is already fixing up the gutted interior of the building located at Surf and Jones Walk to use as their location headquarters. Men In Black 3 stars Will Smith as Agent J traveling back in time to 1969 to stop a villain from killing a young Agent K played by Josh Brolin. According to the storyline, if the killing were carried out in the past, it would result in the destruction of Earth in the present. The production company is giving some of the buildings on Surf Avenue, Jones Walk and the Bowery a 1960′s look, including retro signage. At least one concessionaire on the Walk has plans to keep the look through the summer. Filming will also take place on the Boardwalk and in Wonder Wheel Park. Jimmy, the Balloon Dart operator on the Bowery, is among the Coney Islanders who have been cast as extras. No word yet on whether Target the World-Famous Coney Arcade Cat has been hired for a walk-on. There was a casting call last week for “1969 New Yorkers (hippies, beatnik poets, ’60s celebrity look-a-likes, bikers, models, etc…), people who are less than 4′10 or more than 6′5, plus-sized people, and men and women with character faces.” Last year, the website joblo reported that ’60s era celebrities like Yoko Ono, Jimi Hendrix and Andy Warhol would appear in the film as aliens. The script has gone through a lot of changes. Filmed in 3-D, Men in Black 3 is set to be released on May 25, 2012. As for the Grashorn, the fact that it’s getting rehabbed by the movie company has the Coney Island Rumor Mill saying it will be rented out afterward to game concessionaires. In Coney Island: Lost and Found, historian Charles Denson writes that the building at 1104 Surf dates back to the 1880’s and the Grashorn hardware store served Coney Island’s amusement businesses for more than 60 years: “The clapboard façade, dormers, cast iron resting, chimneys and fish-scale shingles were removed when the building was renovated in the 1980s but the mansard roof retains its shape.” Here’s a photo of the way the building looked in 1969. Will it look like this again when Men in Black 3 travels back in time next month? Over the past two years, the Grashorn Building has fallen victim to squatters, blight and burst water pipes. Sideshow operator John Strong as well as two different arcade owners tried but failed to lease the space from Thor. The building remained shuttered and vacant during the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
