Keasey and Boivin are scripting "Interpol," centered on a group of desk jockey Interpol agents turn over their research to seasoned law enforcement agents who do the actual arresting of criminals. 11. I think I can help you too. He basically says how beautiful Costa Rica is, that's why they chose to film part of the movie there. He also reveals that the parts filmed in Costa Rica represent Earth, they doesn't represent another planet. And that they'll be there for around 2 weeks.

  19. Sony’s ‘Angelology’ Gets Black List Scribe EXCLUSIVE: Sony Pictures set Larry Brenner to write a draft of Angelology, based on the Danielle Trussoni novel. Will Smith and James Lassiter’s Overbrook Entertainment and Marc Forster’s Apparatus is producing. Brenner wrote Bethlehem, a script that made the most recent Black List. Sony paid $1 million for the rights to the novel in 2009. Angelology revolves around a 23-year old nun who teams with an angelologist to thwart a group that tries to destroy mankind by harnessing the destructive powers of a race of angel/human hybrids. The scribe’s repped by CAA and Magnet Management. http://www.deadline.com/2012/02/sonys-angelology-gets-black-list-scribe/
  20. Oscar-winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind, I Am Legend) had been trying to get his directing debut off the ground for years: An adaptation of Mark Helprin's 1983 magical-realism novel Winter's Tale. Vulture has learned that things finally seem to be moving ahead on the stalled project at Warner Bros. (news of which broke exactly one year ago today) after, our spies say, Goldsman "called in every favor he had" and landed Russell Crowe and Will Smith, both stars of his previous work, in supporting roles. Set in both nineteenth-century and present-day Manhattan, Winter's Tale is about a petty thief who falls in love with the dying girl who inhabits the house he’s just burgled and the gangster boss bent on killing him. (Oh, and did we mention there’s also a white, flying horse?) We hear Crowe is in negotiations to play Pearly Soames, the gangster boss, while Smith would appear in the film as a judge. The lead roles of the thief and the little girl still have not been cast. The film had been languishing at Warner over financial issues — as you might expect with a book that features an angelic white horse that can actually jump five New York City blocks at one go — but we now hear that between Goldsman shaving some $20 million off the original budget and landing both Crowe and Smith, the film is likely to take flight (just like a flying horse!) and begin shooting as early as September or October of this year. http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2012/02/russell-crowe-will-smith-winters-tale.html
  21. ‘Soul Train’ creator Don Cornelius was found dead in his California home this morning. According to the Los Angeles Times, police arrived at Cornelius’ Sherman Oaks home around 4am where he was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 75. A radio news announcer by trade, Cornelius began moonlighting at Wciu-tv, and wanted to create an African American version of American Bandstand, Dick Clark's influential music show, with live dancing five days a week. On August 17, 1970, the first episode of Soul Train premiered on the station, and by the next year, it was being syndicated in other markets. The show became one of the longest-running shows of its kind, airing from 1971 through 2006. Cornelius held down the hosting duties for most of that run, before stepping down in 1993. Cornelius told the Los Angeles Times recently that there were early plans to create a movie based on the franchise. "We've been in discussions with several people about getting a movie off the ground," he said. "It wouldn't be the 'Soul Train' dance show, it would be more of a biographical look at the project. It's going to be about some of the things that really happened on the show." In 2008, Cornelius was arrested and charged with spousal battery and dissuading a witness from making a police report, and assault with a deadly weapon. He was sentenced to three years probation. http://www.imdb.com/news/ni21978669/ ----- RIP Don Cornelius.
  22. That's right! That's what the title says :)
