  1. I was reading on pop dirt how bow wow called will smith a gimmick rapper , he said to him i wouldn't consider will a real rapper just a gimmimmick rapper, i was going to respond to that but another poster took the words right out of my mouth and said it best

If anybody is a gimmick rapper it is Bow Wow. Will Smith has paid his dues not only has he had many multiplatinum records and won numerous music awards but he is also an Oscar nomintated actor. Its amazing how a dude get a hot chick (Ciara) and start thinking they hard and thuggish ruggish. So what if Will is pop rap it sales and people love it and appreciate it. I think Bow Wow is just mad that Will gets way more love and respect than he does well pay some dues young dude work the game liek Will has and if you are worthy in time you will get yours. Will can rap over rock tracks and still sale like crazy. Bow Wow continues to rap over the same tired r and b tracks stuck in the love zone no wonder people don't show him much love. I don't think of Will as a rapper I think of him as a veratile multi talented multi millionare entertainer. Too bad I can't say any of them for Bow Wow I refuse to even call him a rapper. A hot chick don't make you no thug Bow Wow you wanna be a thug dump all your money and fame and go back to the hood then we will see how rough and tough you really are.

  2. Well that goes back to the point that Turntable made earlier about how back in the '80s hip-hop wasn't as big as now where the media covers everything a rapper says and does, back then in the late '80s LL was just as arrogant and money hungry as 50 is now and if the media covered hip-hop as much as now I think that would've been more magnified, and there was a pro-black movement with PE and KRS coming on the scene that people looked at LL as the anti-christ of rap doing songs about jewlery and women all the time, and I think in this present time with rappers like Kanye, Lupe, and Common having success and acclaim recently it's sorta going back to consciousness and now 50's receiving flack for not making rap with substance doing songs about his whips and his bitches, Kanye's "Late Registration" beat 50's "Massacre" out at the Grammies, Public Enemy's "...Nation Of Millions" album in '88 sold less than LL's '88 album but it was very critically acclaimed and still is more considered an all time great more than LL's "Walking With A Panther" is, 50's outselling them all just like LL outsold PE and KRS back then but they really lost support and acclaim in hip-hop during those times, I'm not putting Kanye on the same level as Chuck D or 50 on the same level as LL but it's sorta funny how history repeats itself...

I remember how a lot of people came down hard on 50 when he admitted on MTV that he ain't living with his son but LL mentioned in his book that around that time when he was younger he abandoned his son and his wife(who was his girlfriend then) too while he was out there living the fast life, if LL said that on MTV he would've been criticised too, he grown up since then though and realised that there's more to life than money and fame, it took him time to realise that since he got in the spotlight at a young age and didn't know how to handle it, friends and his grandmother pulled him out of it though, hip-hop wasn't covered as much then as now, we need to let 50 live and not come down on him so hard 'cause he's human and he needs time to grow too, 50 needs a good circle of friends and family that cares more than anything, he's a troubled soul right now the way I see it that's reaching out for attention, LL could a positive influence on him not only in music but in his life too beyond music, sure some of his recent music is weak but there are weaker rappers out now too that never did anything good to begin with, and as much as his recent stuff might turn me off I still like his "GRODT" album and some of his early mixtape stuff, he could still bring it if he wanted to, now if you got the "GRODT" 50 with the "GOAT" LL then that'd be a groundbreaking album that everyone would feel....

    i feel ya on that

  3. Nice attempts to defend your little hero Turntable. Basically everyone not a hardcore fan thought Todd Smith was weak and the rest will see it in a year or so... And "guys like LL Cool J and Michael Jackson dont have to do anything to sell more records no more", well LL havent sold platinum in the USA for a couple of years.. and I dont know if he's satisfied with that.

"LL sels more than anyone of G-Unit except for 50." Yup, but 50 is the executive producer.

"Except for the raps the G-Unit things are dope. And maybe.. just maybe he feels 50?"

The G-Unit things? The production? The little ugly action toys? The image? The persons in it? Nothing of that is dope. And if LL "feels" 50 Cent, which I cant imagine, then he is just as dumb as the twelve year old kids who buys 50s albums.

more than 12year olds and white girls buy 50 and g-unit they do have street cred in my hood and in the bay , la and so forth as you can tell i tend to travel but anyhoo they fill 50 and the unit in the streets its a proven fact, and you got to admit this collabo will be hot

  4. lol i would pay to see that , on allhip hop .com k-solo talked about him being a trained boxer and training with tito ortiz and some other ufc people, and he claims he will kill x in a fight and that x don't wanna see him, Question all this over who wrote spellbound?

  5. I just read an interesting article on k-solo who called out dmx saying the xman wasn't real and that he was biting his style, even going so far as challenging x to a boxing match. He says the reason x flopped in sales is because he ain't real and the reality show was garbage, what do you guys think? I also found it interesting how he refused to go on the reunioun tour with epmd because i tnik he said something about he had a promo with the way his situation was handled plus his problems with keith murray, i thought this was an interesting piece what do you guy's think?

  6. lol thats so childish i never considered goning on the board over there but it has nothing to do with that anyway where do you get 99% of my post when i also posted about other things as well? why are you bringing up posts about him? why even open the post? i can't have an opinion ? why do you care so deeply that i defend him? ITS MY OPINION !

  7. Well G-Unit better retire before they get dropped 'cause everything they released lately has been a flop, it's better to bow out gracefully when you're as wack as them

lloyd banks #3 on billboard 200 isn't a flop and when you do 100,000$ to 100,000 from january to january that is not a flop either this sounds fake

#3 is bad for G-Unit, I thought they were supposed to be the top selling group in music, they only brag about their sales all the time so if they don't sell millions they're a flop, selling 100,000 in the first week instead of what they used to do a couple years ago shows that they're fading out, they're a faze that's getting played out, now if they were real artists like FP and didn't worry about sales and actually let it be about the music then these artists ain't a flop, the only thing G-Unit had was sales and now that's gone they're nothing, G-Unit don't represent real music so they're a flop, people are finding other artists to listen to, 50 Cent fans are starting to like who he dissed more than him now, even Fat Joe could sell more than 100,000 in the first week and 50 made fun of him for doing that last year but now the table's turned on him and his click and he's wondering why he's getting dissed for now, lol, and you're out of line to say that Hi-Tek album is only average at best when G-Unit ain't even close to being average, to quote my man Nas "It's real hip-hop not that 50 Cent ****"

you were out a line for that why? so bitter and all you just said made no sense because you have no proof of that not to mention g-unit ain't going nowhere and is not a fad people still feel them more than the people they dissed , not to mention they are real artist you sound no better than 50 with this grade school nonsense you gotta be above that , and wasn't this an opinion board? you do know i have a right to my own opinion plus if anyone was out of line it was you with that last comment

Why are 99% of your posts defending 50 Cent for? Can't you realise that most of us here don't like him? Go to the G-Unit groupie board so you could defend him all you want if you wanna make 99% of your posts about them

lol thats so childish i never considered goning on the board over there but it has nothing to do with that anyway where do you get 99% of my post when i also posted about other things as well? why are you bringing up posts about him? why even open the post? i can't have an opinion ? why do you care so deeply that i defend him?
