Port of Miami
INTRO
A news report about a drug stop i give it a 2/5.
PUSH IT
Sample's "Push It to the Limit," from the soundtrack to Scarface, every rapper's favorite movie. Lyrics are great. 5/5
BLOW
Featuring Dre of the Miami production duo Cool and Dre. I like this one exspecially the chorus. 5/5
HUSTLIN'
The epic first single. you all know how it is 5/5
CROSS THAT LINE
Ft. Akon not a bad song could be a single 3/5
I'M BAD
Has a Miami Vice type beat. Great song. tells everyone he is finally here 4/5
BOSS
I really cn't review his one so 2/5
FOR DA LOW
Jazze Pha memorible intro to it. great song i would say this is probly the climax of the cd. 5/5
WHERE MY MONEY (I NEED THAT)
a dirty south intro dirty south type song. Talkin' bout cars and money and guns. 4/5
GET AWAY
Featuring Mario Winans, I'd say this is R&B rap done right. It could end up a single.
HIT U FROM THE BACK
From the sublime to the nasty. A really nasty sex rap.
WHITE HOUSE
The chorus to this one goes, "I'm in the White House, I'm in the White House / I call the shots, I could get yo' ass wiped out!" great song 5/5
POTS AND PANS
The requisite Malaco Records-sounding number. Lil' Wayne had one of these on his album. sounds like a Lil' Wayne beat 4/5
IT'S MY TIME
Featuring grating R&B singer Lyfe Jennings (probably his real name). great sng so 4/5
STREET LIFE
Def Jam must be attempting to kick-start former Murder Inc. would-be teen idol Lloyd's career. I mean, I can't imagine Rick Ross just saying, You know who I should get on my ****? Lloyd! 2/5
HUSTLIN' (REMIX)
The great Jay-Z remix of the epic first single. 5/5
IT AIN'T A PROBLEM
New Rule: You can't have a song with your weed carriers on your own debut album. but i am gonna give it a 4/5
I'M A G
Speaking of weed carriers, this features Lil' Wayne and someone calling himself Brisco. The Wayne verse is brief and decidedly lackluster and the beat should've been rethought. 4/5
PRAYER
I suppose it makes sense that Rick Ross is a Christian. but it is a good song 5/5
I thought the album was one of the best with the exception of that one song
