1. Say, how old is Trey now? Of course I'm thinkin of about how Will said "Maybe an MC" from "Just The Two of Us". It would be somethin if Trey came out. He wouldn't be like Romeo or Bow Wow. If he does become in artist, at least we'll know he'll be young musician guided correctly. Only time will tell.
  2. I need help gettin a better music program. I use Goldwave and Acoustica. I try 2 mix down my acapella wit the beat I used, but it drags it and I have 2 do it in parts. Does anyone have a program that doesn't do this, or know what the problem might be?

    Thanks!
  3. Yes, it does seem like we convert 2 other music. But 2 me, even R&B is startin 2 slip. It's not as emotional as it use 2 be. And fun 2. SWV is one I can think of right now. They're suppose 2 come back out. (I think the end of 2004 or soemthin like that)

What about Outkast? They seem 2 be doin pretty good. But it seems like it's 2 much. Almost corny. Well, maybe not. But it's some thin line between the two. (bein cool and bein corny)

We as honest fans, haven't been doin our part. I think we should.
  4. The Current State of Hip Hop? Why even ask. It seems like everyone is complaining, yet somehow, these "ridiculous" acts end up on top. One guy I talked to said "That's all there is 2 buy into." And people always think that becuz Biggie and Pac died, that hip hop's been destroyed. 2 be honest, I think music has been destroyed. All of it. Even country artists "be ballin" like the flashy blingers of hip hop. (well, somewhat anyway).

Don't support these artists becuz the majority does. U shouldn't be afraid 2 say, "Ok, I like these 2 songs, but I'm not really into his/her/their album." We shouldn't overly-support artists we hardly even like. In today's world, it seems like we 4get that things can change 4 the better. And we always got 2 have a specific reason 2 somethin, especially good. If it seems like there is no reason, then it's God. Look at our old times. The Civil Rights Movement. The women's movement, etc, etc. There R quite a selective amount of people who can change the world. And they still learn from others.

Please help those artists grow that R suppose to. And/or become on ya self. From what I've seen, we R all (the people at this JJFP forum), fans of honest music.
  5.
yeah i learn so much off this site, ive only been properly into hip hop about 5 years now so i have a lot to learn, but i started watchin hip hop shows about old skool. All i had when i was young was stuff like MC hammer, vanilla ice and salt and pepper and a little bit of jjfp. And bcoz music is so crap now i find myself buying old albums that i missed out on when i was younger.

But i will be the first to admit i dont know that much about hip hop apart from the last 5 years.
Another one agree wit. U know I still don't have he's DJ I'm Rapper album yet. I'm gettin 4 my b-day from my friends. I get old albums too. And when I'm asked 2 burn a cd, alot of times , it'z this terrible new stuff that's out now.
  6.
Yes ys yes evrythings usd to be better in the old days :( now everything bad life is a hell now before evrything was geat :( i wish I lived looong ago bcouse eveything usd to be so much better
Word. I swear I would have beeen better growin up in the 80s. I'd fit wit all the rappers like Will and 2pac and alll those really good ones, that no one pays attention 2 now. I can't wait 4 Will's album.
  7.
kool man..we've got a few rappers on this board look out for ken starrs new album on koch records.. and koffe black has his album out.. oh and welcome to the forum by the way :wavey:
Thnaks. I never really formally introduced myself. Board's great and doesn't have ridiculous members.
  8. Agree totally. Poeple say their the only thing 2 buy into, but yet they won't just listen 2 their old school (if they in fact have any) Some people vibe different adn don't give anything/one a chance.

Ya verse was very strong toward hip hops state. They claim it fun, but that'z all club. I could go on and on but letz let OUR music do da talkin.

Keep that thought when U do ya verses. Peace!
  9.
 That was dope! How are you releasing your mix CD, do you have a record deal or a website for us to check you out? Holla!
Thanks, nah no record deal; YET. I'm gonna sell it around school (people I know will want it) promote it some; give it 2 my 3 bros when we're all in PA 4 da summer. One lives in PA, 2nd lives in TX, 3rd lives in OH. So when they take it back wit em, it can get rotation out of da home state. YEah can I put some tracks at a website. (www.soundclick.com/) Not sure if I'll put the whole mix tape on there. Trust, there won't be any KAy SLay screamin out it. Just str8 songs. When I have the full track list 2gether, I'll post it and y'all can vote.
