  1. That was dope. I knew they were on good terms again but I didn't know they were doing shows and another album. This is great news. If anyone can pick up where they left off over 15 years ago, Pete Rock + C.L. Smooth can. That track is great. I hope the remix is on John Legend's album and not just a download.

I picked up the John Legend/Roots album today, havn't finished it yet but like what i heard. I picked up the extended version but the remix wasn't on it, though the version with just CL was. I thought I read somewhere the remix was free, but i'm not sure.

  2. Me and a Bunch of friends took the day off and made a day of the movie. IT was absolutly a blast, I would love to see a sequal. It's been too long since a movie like that has come out, who cares about a complicated plot just give me some fun exposions, good banter, and funny one liners any day. I think hollywood is too preoccupied with trying to remake movies or make a movie that you just have to think about too much that it looses the magic it can have. If i go to see a movie I want to be entertained and I definatly was with this.

  3. I'm with you on that! This should be the album that LL Cool J and Fresh Prince finally work together. I'm tempted to start a Facebook cause on this! If I did, would you guys support it. This would be a good time to push the return of the Fresh Prince again. We've kinda let it die.

    I'd definatly support it.

  4. I keep trying to keep myself calm so I'm not too let down if it doesn't happen, but I've got a feeling i'm going to burst soon been feeling pretty pumped at the idea of him dropping another album. It's been too long, i've been to the point where I'd content with one track from him on a Jazzy Jeff album.

  5. I was just searching for some Skillz material online and this interview from a couple years back came up...I know this was posted before but I'm just a little confused...

UD: To that point, do you feel you’ve picked a couple fights yourself, particularly with Eminem? Kinda goading him a little bit?

S: Maybe one time. But you gotta understand, any time I throw your name out there in a verse, in a disrespectful way, I feel like I have a reason. I never just pick on somebody. Not to discredit Em- he might be the greatest white rapper of all time. The dude is nice, you can’t take that away from him. But he dissed a person that’s very close to me. And I didn’t like it. And that person did not say anything, because to even answer Em would be beneath him, to the public eye. He said something about someone very close to me and I didn’t appreciate it.

UD: When he dissed Jermaine Dupri?

S: Nah. Jermaine Dupri and I ain’t friends at all. He said something about Will.

    UD: Will Smith?

S: Right. And I didn’t appreciate it. Especially after he had been to Jazzy Jeff’s studio, recorded a song with Jazzy Jeff and Will. You know, who the **** is going to meet the Fresh Prince and be cocky? We all wanted to be the Fresh Prince. What nigga wouldn’t want the career the Fresh Prince has had? What nigga wouldn’t use that as inspiration?

When he said, “Will Smith don’t have to curse in his raps to sell records but I do/so **** him and **** you too,” I was like, nah, B. Not after you was just down there in the studio! I ain’t appreciate that.

    --------------

I'll ask Jeff & Skillz the next time I see them about this...unless Skillz is talking about "When to Stand Up" cause perhaps Will was in the studio but just not on the track.

I'm thinking he must just have been thinking of the song he made with Jazzy Jeff otherwise i would think we would of heard of another track.

  6. I didnt know u liked Polka Big Ben..

Oh yeah, My Great Grandpa and my Grandpa both played the concertina and in polka bands. I'm lucky enough to have some casset tapes of them playing that I am trying to convert over to the Computer.

  7. Like the topic say's, it's always fun to see someone of DMC's caliber experimenting to see what happens. Though if I could only find a way for Jazzy Jeff to mesh Hip Hop and Polka my life would be complete.
