1.
I also got B2R from the same shopas an import 9 days b4 it was released in the UK, at the time i thought i was so lucky, but i could have just waited 9 days lol.
That's really cool. I got Big Willie Style 2 days b4 it waz released...i waz so happy.
2. I don't care what he dose, i just want some music soon. I wouldn't want it downloadable. If he releases it on the internet, make it purchased on the internet and have the CD get mailed 2 the fans. They can also make it so that it can't be copied/read by computers. I have a few CDs like that (which dosen't matter cuz i use my external CD burner, which has nothing 2 do with computers more). I'm sure that would slow down it getting leaked on the internet. The sales would also be more private so that alot fewer people would even be thinkin' about putting on the internet.
3. Will isn't muslim. In 2001, he got alot of ?uestions about that and he said he wazn't. He said that when he studied the religion, he found many things he liked in the religion, but that dosen't mean he believes in it in a spiritual sense. There are parts of it that i agree with, but by no means am i muslim...ha ha. "The Rain" wouldn't be the same song if he waz muslim. Ali wanted Will 2 play him in the bio pic cuz he's hansome, young, and successful...it had nothing 2 do with religion. With the ALI coming out right after 9/11, the whole muslim waz a hot topic, so people ate it up since Ali is muslim.
4. I think in the very early 90's, Will waz considering trying stand up. I can't remember why i think this...i just remember reading something about it in the early 90's. I think Will would make a good comidian but i find it hard 2 imagin him doing it. Writing songs and scripts is much different from doing stand up.
5. Yeah, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air waz a great way 2 introduce Hip-Hop 2 a new audience. It featured guest appearances by Heavy D, Queen Latifah, Bell Biv Devoe and featured music from JJ+FP, Technotronic, Soul II Soul, Sugarhill Gang, etc. The soundtrack that waz released overseas is dope. I already liked nearly every song on it b4 i even heard it.
6. I've been willing 2 give acappellas out 2 remixers but nobody comes thru'. Usually it's that trax i don't care 2 hear remixed as much (Men In Black, Miami, etc). Just Cruisin', Freakin' It, So Fresh and Gettin' Jiggy Wit It totally need a good Hip-Hop remix but i never see any. Of course, a remix is only as good as the remixer. There have been past remixes by fans but the beats never blend right. I think Vipa is the only one who has made good ones (that i can think of).
7. Will's got a new album finished and 2 new movies on the way...in no way is his career dead. Just last summer he had one of the biggest movies out. Will has come back succesfull after weather a lack-luster album and movie over and over again. I think that's what he means when he says "i'm a pressure playa / i'ma hit it when it counts."

I will agree that some people are very negative and always expect the worse in every topic. U can look at almost anything in life and say ONLY good or ONLY bad things about. Focusing only on the bad is no way 2 live...ha ha.
8. Alot of people think they know something about Hip-Hop, but they really don't. U'll find that out quick when holding conversations with people. No offense 2 younger people, but u kinda expect a more accurate knowlege as Hip-Hop music and culture with age. But i'm sure that with places like this 2 meet online, some younger people get skooled on the good stuff and the old stuff. There isn't really any other outlets 4 people 2 get exposed or hear about real music anymore. After all, it's not in the media, on the radio or on TV. Usually, if it IS on the radio or TV, u know it's not worth checking out...ha ha.
9. I appricate all their stuff. Each era represents a different thing and i can associate all of them with certain times in my own life. I didn't own Rock The House until 1991, but of course i knew of "Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble"...so listening 2 the entire album gets associated with that song which reminds me of when i waz younger...but also 1991 since that's when i bought it.

When i make mixtapes 2 drive around 2, it's usually the stuff from the 1990's up until now, but that dosen't mean i don't appriciate that stuff. I havn't outgrown it or anything.
10. I don't think he should have exactly released those songs. I just think he should have NOT released all movie, party, dance trax. Just The Two of Us, So Fresh, and Just Cruisin' are the only videos/singles he released that wern't movie, party, dance trax.

"I'm Comin'" should have definitly been a single/video..."Don't Say Nothin'" is also a good choice. I think "Da Butta" would have resulted in career-death.
11. Rockthehouse is still here, he just dosen't post as much. I think ProfX posted a few weeks ago. Andy2K still posts here (just under a different name), 3Cookies posts every once in awhile. Other than that, they are all gone. Some people like enjoy_summertime sold out. She dosen't like Will's music anymore. The main thing that made fans fall off waz that last Sony board, it just didn't allow everyone 2 register and remain posting.

Hopefully with a new album, label, site, and message board, it'll bring people back. It's kinda strange that fans wouldn't find their way here and start posting again tho'.
12. Yeah, i can't tell if they thought they were putting 2gether a really fly album cover, or if it is supposed 2 look like a Hip-Hop album cover from the 80's. At a price like that, i couldn't help but get it. Maybe i'll scan the inside pic sometime. Of course the original version also had that really cool pic of them in the shiny suits from 1989....u know Puffy and Mase jacked that style for the "Mo Money Mo Problems" video.
13. No, they are still cool (still perform live 2gether). This is just a DJ's/VJ's mix. Some of the people like L.L. and Canibus has a legit battle. But none of those R-N-B acts had battles (come on now) and half of those other peeps are just this guy mixing stuff. Only 6 of those could be considered battles. "Mariah vs. MC Shan!!" What is a modern day R-N-B/Pop star gonna be doing battling an old skool MC...that's just stupid.
14. I just picked up the 2004 edition of Before The Willennium..ha ha. For those of u who don't know, it's the most pointless JJ+FP compilation ever. The 1st version came out in 2000 just after Willennium. It's a 10 track compilation CD with 6 "greatest hits/singles" and 4 album trax...no new material. For any JJ+FP who can spare $10 or less, it's a cool buy just 2 have it...i guess...ha ha...at least 4 the "new" pictures in it.

Well, as if finding the Japan version of wazn't funny enuff (with 5 bonus trax from Willennium and an unreleased "Boom! Shake The Room" remix), they just re-released it. This one has a really colorful with cartoony images behind them and it has a doctored pic of that pic on the back of the Platnium + Gold collection back cover. Instead of FP wearing blue, they altered it so he's wearing yellow. I 4get what colors Jeff waz wearing but they made them black and orangy red. "JJ+FP" is written in a very scribbleish kinda font and "Before The Willennium" is in purple in this 80's looking font with a totaly unnecessary silote (sp?) of a city behind it. The back cover is really colorful 2 and it has the pic of the original Before The Willennium cover but Jeff's shirt has been made yellow instead of red.

The coolest thing about this version is the pic INSIDE under the CD tray...it's a pic i've never seen and it's dope!! It's from the And In This Corner... cover photo shoot. It's actually cooler than that album cover but it wouldn't go with the title as well. It has the smoke around them. Jeff is striking a b-boy pose and cocking his head back. FP is kinda leaning on his shoulder with his hand on his hip. The whole pic is tinted in red...VERY VERY COOL.

This version of it is still a BMG Special Product but it's also credited as a "Priceless Collection"....ha ha. It also has a link at www.oldies.com. It's easy 2 consider JJ+FP old skool...but not "oldies." If anyone tries the link, maybe they have a cover of this new version.

Just thought i'd share.
