  1. great news to hear will playing live again in the uk, i keep missing it weneva he is here!

    p.s.

i went to the anger management tour last year with fifty and em (xzibit stole the show)....it was great live, y you all hatin?

admittedly his raps aren't amazing...but i really like most of his songs, they r fun and great in a club!

  2. here's the problem, 50 isn't introducing people to hip-hop as u claim, he's introducing them 2 gnagsta rap. he introducing them 2 a world of his so-called shooting and bullet proof vests. i don't know how 50 cent can influence you to buy LL Cool J, cuz they make music on different ends of the rap spectrum.

i was influenced by Wills music to buy those particular CD's of LL, Dre and Busta. Will and Dr Dre are on completely different ends of the rap spectrum but i like them both. that was the point, will's easy going music got me into the rap thing (back in the 90's when i 5/6yrs, i didnt start buying CD's till i got a job much later-10yrs- so i got into other rap a lot later), from here my interest grew, and slowly i began listening to other mor intellectual artist, aswell as commercial

abou 50 only rapping bout the same thing is the reason why i didn't buy his new album, even though i liked the singles, its all the same. however, he isnt trying to rap about something he isn't, he has glorified it but it isnt lies like other rappers

  3. Hey I'm mad that the ones who worked hard to help bring hip-hop to the masses like Will Smith and Public Enemy can't even get airplay now, it's cool for new cats to get airplay but we can't forget the ol' school mcs that're still out there, 50 Cent and Kanye West can never do what they've done hate 'em or love 'em you gotta recognize that, they're pioneers, people need to start respecting them more!

hey man i cant agree with you more...but its when people begin to hate on these rappers which dont deserve it. rappers like 50 cent are overated but at the same time, i dont hate him or his music for it.

  4. heres something i dont get...

on this board there are a lot of people talking bad bout other 'commercial' rappers like 50 cent and G-unit, even Fat Joe's new single with nelly. however, it is rappers like 50 that are introducing newer and diffferent fans to hip hop.

if it wasn't for Will's party music, and 50's club bangers, i mite never of brought LL Cool J, Dr Dre and Busta Rhymes.

admittedly they arent the most intelligent of rap songs, but they are still good.

i know everyone has an opinion...but it just bugs me sometimes when theres a lot of hating going on!

  5. i'ma have to say that they are both equal in my opinion.

i love Big Wills songs, since forever. i practically grew up with his music (and tv).

i never got into LL's old stuff, but his newer stuff including 10 (i kno a lot wont agree) is brilliant. the Definition is awesome. this got me into his older stuff where he shines lyrically but is let down with the beats.

grammies and awards weren't what i went by, this is more of a personal opinion.

  6. with the lost and found track in mind LL would rock that best.

LL was around to start Hip Hop, he is still here and has skillz as diverse as FP (it just happens his best known songs are for the ladies). it is important to remember that because he was there for the beginning of hip hop

LL can tell us all what hip hop is. what it meant back then and how it should be, and is dropping tracks like the 'The Truth' which hits at these sorts of issues.

i say this even though i never was a fan of the real 'old skool' hip, i only got into it because of the songs wen i was growing up in the early 90's, and today mainly listen to LL's new stuff.

mos def is cool and spits knowledge, but rakim would be better than him on this track also, for similar reasons above, but, LL and FP could have real chemistry, it needs energy between them like Dre has with Em on the Encore track. where every few lines the mic is passed round. (i kno i said this before but it needs to be said as this poll is turning into a popularity contest)

but regardless of what the remix should be like, i would be glad for FP to do more remixes and mixtapes!!

  7. first of all, u all got some good points, but rakim, as good as he is, probably wouldn't work that well on a track with will, it wouldn't gel.

LL should definately be on that remix, but none of that add a chorus crap, the song needs to be REMIXED. LL and Will could have some great energy like LL and P.diddy on After School. or Busta in Pass The Courvoisier Part 2. even eminem on the Encore track did brilliant the way it was a collabo with dre, they passed the mic round every few lines which is real old skool.

jay z would most likely take too much attention away from will as an mc and will draw the wrong attention by media (saying will needs jigga for a hit!)

Mos is definately cool, but in all honesty i would just prefer a veteran like LL more than him for this track especially!!

i know there is a lot of possible controversy here but this is all just my opinion, not insulting anyone or any other rappers
