1. Did you hear this on the show like today or in the last week? Man, what are you waiting for? Go buy tickets. lol.
2.
gettin' jiggy wit' it....all the rest have no chance!!!
I hope you were joking. I really hope you were joking. No way is "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" Will's best solo track. Probably the most popular out of all them but it really has no meaning to it. It's just a typical party song. The real music is the album music even though some singles that have meanings to it but "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" isn't too meaningful.
3. word up that me and the prince are a menace to society at least when we diss, it comes out in a variety callin' us "gay" and "wack" is so simple-minded wanna bawl with us? we'll leave you blinded it's the J.I.M with a Prince who was crownded champ no way to escape cause you now locked in a clamp yeah joe, you wrote some songs that were decent using some simple slang that you think is recent being destroyed seems like what you askin' when we come out on top, in the limelight we be baskin' it kinda feel guilty for battling a fella brotha from the N-J but when I see a crappy rapper, i just can't let them see the light of the day sure you been writing for a few years or so but it dont mean you'll win, with joe or with your lame flow remember that this is only spit numero uno just the beginning, doesn't mean ya winnin' just so you know
4.
i think most people would prefer having an actual cd in hand with liner notes etc than sum mp3s
Exactly. That even goes for me and singles too. I could download the remixes to like Boom! Shake the Room and have all the remixes yet I would still wanna buy the CD single.
5. I'm still looking for good dj software...something simple and easy to use...that should be straight-forward.
6. Anything pre-94 plus some new songs they would be working on...also "So Fresh", "Pump Me Up", "Potnas", "The Rain"...some others too.
7.
I'd prefer it if it went straight to shops!! But it needs the right promotion! i think thats what Will has been lacking in recent years!! Hopefully the new label and album will get the right promotion and will put Will back on the map!
same here....there are still millions and millions of people downloading illegaly without paying a penny. Kazaa, WinMX, Soulseek....etc...all still going strong. Will needs a good label that provides freedom of the artist with good promotion - promotion of the right songs as well.
8. aight jim's in on this....ahhhh yo prince, you wanna potna up with me?
9. Too hard man.... 1. The Rain 2. Yes Yes Y'all 3. I'm Comin' I don't count "So Fresh", "Pump Me Up", "Potnas" as "solo" because Jazzy is more involved in those tracks then the rest he's done with Will as "solo". Thats Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince, not solo Will Smith.
10. Yes - the mid 90's they were out like 1993-1994.....maybe the song you like is "Hey DJ". The video for that is similar to the "I'm Looking for the One (to be with me)" video. Nothing to flashy or anything. Try some samples on that link above, maybe you heard a song or two from them.
11. listen to the song over and over a few times and read the lyrics on the main site here....you'll understand it. no biggy.
12. A year ago I was looking for some old skool hip-hop on Kazaa when I downloaded this song "Hey DJ" from A Lighter Shade of Brown. The song was so damn good and I'm wondering if anyone hear has their CDs or knows of them. They weren't real mainstream from what I've read and their West Coast/semi-Latin rap. Pretty good though. I like what I see on this page from their 1994 Layin in the Cut CD so I think I might get it. 13. Happy Birthday Kev! hope u enjoy it and keep it real. lol.
14. When Will retires from movies (hopefully soon! lolol) and rap (never!)..he should do stand-up comedy. Remember that episode when he tried that on the FPOBA? He went to some club in LA and got booed. lolol.
15. hahaha!!!! glad to kno he still got it! lolol
16. Nice...very nice..perfect for all you DJs and mixers out there!
17. Sweet bro! I had the "Can't Wait to be with you" remix...its the Red Eye Remix.... but the Boom! one i never had...is that the 1995 version? thats really dope
18. It wasn't a bad choice but its true about the video, maybe they made a mistake by making it look like a home made movie. Its still a dope video nonetheless.
19. sweet!! looks great! bout time we got some dope images!
20. I feel so pathetic....you all hate "Freakin' It" yet I still like it. lol. decent song just it shouldn't have been released as a single. "I'm Comin' " should've been in replace of that.
21. great song yet I don't think it was the greatest to release as a single off of Code Red....i would've prefer "Just Kickin' It" as the second single.
22.
my all-time favorite JJFP song since I turned 15 has been "I'm Lookin' For The One"(To Be Wit Me) wit Teddy Riley on the hook(a legendary producer and r&b performer).
Hell yeah! that's been my all-time favorite since I turned 15 too! (like last August) lol. It's great to have music that you can relate too. From your kids years (Parents Just Don't Understand...etc) throughout your teens (Girls Ain't Nothin But Trouble...etc) into turning an adult (Just the Two of Us, Chasin' Forever...etc) theres always songs that JJFP did because they were once kids, teens and now adults.
23. I've been thinking and I think that during Will's career on Columbia, he should've made a video for one of his "battle" songs. Songs like - Don't Say Nothin - Big Willie Style - I'm Comin' - Uhhhhh - Da Butta ..etc I can definatly see a video for "I'm Comin'"..people look a Will nowadays as a "pop" artist and not a real rapper. He could prove everyone wrong. The video could be a single that would be the 2nd or 3rd single & video off the album. It's not really changing his style, it's him being himself. He could prove them all wrong. I hope he does that with the next album. "Freakin' It" was somewhat like a battle song just by the lyrics but it used a terrible sample and it sounded "popish" and soft. What y'all think.
24. Same here, I don't really blast the 3 albums from the 80's. I like though how JJFP got more serious with their music. As being 15 years old, I understand and appreciate songs like "Shadow Dreams" and "Caught in the middle (love & life)" more and more. Now I haven't been listening to JJFP as long as Hero1 or AJ but it's still really great to listen too. Once in awhile though, you just gotta listen to the 3 albums from the 80s. Just to see how it was back then even though you have to turn up your speakers for it since it's so old.
