Sanctuary Visual Entertainment proudly announce the 25th October 2004 release of Mary J. Blige - 'Live From Los Angeles'; the first-ever live in concert DVD from the original Queen of Hip Hop Soul. Capturing a stunning performance delivered with conviction and compassion, this title is pure Mary at her very best, making it this autumn's essential purchase.

Filmed at the Los Angeles Amphitheatre on 8th May 2004, in front of an adoring audience of over 5,000 fans, Mary J. Blige delivers with heartfelt, gritty, lyrics set to strong, soulful beats. And, through the wonders of modern technology, giant screens showing the promo-videos for the tracks 'I Can Love You' and 'Real Love', re-unites Mary with Lil' Kim and Notorious B.I.G.

Mary delights the crowd by showcasing the tracks 'Love @ 1st Sight', 'It's A Wrap' and 'Not Today', taken from her 2003 studio album 'Love & Life', interspersed with old favourites such as 'No More Drama' and 'Family Affair'. There are also performances of 'Love No Limit' and 'You Remind Me' taken from Mary's first studio album, 'What's the 411?", plus 'Your Child' and 'The Love I Never Had' from 2000's offering 'Mary'.

'Live From Los Angeles' tells us that the girl from the Bronx has come a long way, but the heavy mantle of 'the voice of R 'n B's future' sits comfortably on her shoulders. The tiny figure on stage delivers vocals that high-kick out into the Amphitheatre, she bears her scars with strife and shows you the wounds in repair, and that's why we love her. This DVD is the story of an impassioned performer, delivering a legendary performance, which will stand the test of time.

I was at this same concert that night, and when I tell yall I have never experienced nothing like it. Mary puts it down in concert....I advice anyone to buy this dvd when it comes out. Mary is my #1 female singer EVER. She is jus AMAZING in concert. When she sings, you feel everything word she that comes out of her mouth. This is the release date for the U.K. But for the U.S. the date is: 09/28/04. I cant wait till it comes out, because she will have behind the scenes footage also.
2. Glenn Lewis Signs to Sanctuary

Glenn Lewis signed to Sanctuary Urban Records, which is owned by Matthew Knowles, through his management's new label deal, Rockstar Records. It's a joint venture between Sanctuary Urban Records, Glenn's management and Dre & Vidal (Glenn's producers).

Because of the label switch from Sony Records, Glenn Lewis' first single will be released in October and it will be called "ABC". His second album is expected to be released in February of 2005.

Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder & Lenny Kravitz - "If I Ain't Got You/Higher Ground" (Medley)
i'm sayin, Alicia and friends could've performed the whole night nonstop. this was a good ass performance. i loved Alicia. i jus love "If I Ain't Got You" and how she kills it live. especially when she be adding adlibs and shaking her head and stuff. powerful! she along with Stevie whose been in the game since a child and Lenny killed it. very good. A+!

Listen:
Jessica Simpson - "With You/Angels" (Medley)
man! wow! i don't care what anyone say, i enjoyed Jessica that night. she did real good to me. i didn't care for her BABYTALK in the beginning at all, but her performance as a whole was real good. i'm not even a fan of this woman like others, but i still give props when they are due and she definitely deserves them from me! good job.

Kanye West, Syleena Johnson, John Legend and Chaka Khan - "Jesus Walks/All Falls Down/Through the Wire" (Medley)
i don't even like Kanye like that, but i applaud him for his performance that night. he did a very good job. i was happy to see Syleena out there with him too! i was never able to catch them two on the late night shows performing "All Falls Down." i always missed it. so it was a treat for me to see her up on there. her and John Legend sounded good together. and then there was Chaka! Chaka Khan! she didn't sound as bad as everyone made it out to be, but you could definitely tell the difference. she was hoarse, like i thought from the beginning. still did well. loved the whole thing! nice job.
