Takin' It Back For A Minute

“Taking It Back For A Minute”
Chorus:
I'm takin' it back for a minute
Before I track overwhelmness
Later on you'll say that you felt this
But right now we attack with plenty of steps
Never lack the various sense
When I take it back for a minute
To the days where rap made sense

Verse One:
M.C's forgot the heart of a rhyme
When they speed all out of line
The musical key has to be a raw route of design
Or else you'll be all out of ya mind
Not all the things of the past
We should forget
We don't have to live in the past
But we shouldn't forget
Or else we'll feel the drag in our ass
'Cause we lose our purpose
Lookin' like fools lyin' on the surface
But never findin' a fuse to try a movement
The music we choose can't analyze pollution
'Cause those foolish lies you're usin'
Give the wrong message to our children
The aggression can fuse to devour the building
In other words, a foundation formed to occur no explanation
That has no thought behind it
What lesson is taught from rhymin'?
If your battle you fought's just dyin'
Where's your handle to the ball when you're not tryin'
Turnovers overrule the equation
That tool of debating
Is jacking fool punks hating
How're you sayin' that's outdated
You can't just stay in 2004
You have to remember the game before
Even if it was a nightmare, you can't act like you were just born
Or else you'll end up with a nerve just sore
You can't occur to perform
Overnight with the wrong recite
Of words from hype
Just pickin' up the damn mic
Is the stuff that rips punks to dash on the hike
'Cause I ain't new anymore to this script
Check it, I've been on to scorch the hittin'
The art of performance
Since the start of 2000
And the year now is
2K4, there ain't B2K no more
'Cause groups concerned with pay are scorched
That's why there ain't many legends
Like Boyz II Men, New Edition, or Run-DMC
'Cause they want just money
Management's too out of hand and cocky
You can't just run the rout of the jam to stop me
'Cause you think I'm going, but I'm going left
And I'm overflowin' mics, my flow is def
Go back to bed little tykes, I'll put the throw over ya head
Yeah, that's the ill rhyme, so now you know every night I hit
Never any chill in my life, 'cause I grow wit my mind lit
With new ideas but I recall what I did
I never screw up twice, I ball wit excitement
Of knowledge of strife and all percerverence
My time is on clearness
My watch to shine isn't goin' off, hear this
There's no verse out of line, no queerness
When the chorus isn't mine, it's all immitation, zero creation
Y'all wishin' I'm gonna hear all you're sayin'
But when you're stuck in today
You're just in a daze
No future in the game
See you have to know your past
So don't try to go so fast
Don't listen? You'll go regrettin'
Forget your history of your past
And your life goes in a flash
Nobody will bother to help you direction
Where is inflection
Of clarity
With a perspective?
That's so warily
The wrong sense
Is wack, you'll have no air to breathe
In your chest
If you forget to breathe
That's the same equivilant
By you not tryin' to achieve
This is relevant
if you know what happened, think of where you lead
With experience
It's always possible to believe
That's it, you n'ah mean
[Repeat Chorus 3X 'til end] Edited by bigted

Woooah... Reminds me of Eminem's "Rabbit Run" from the 8 Mile soundtrack in terms of length.

I think its totally awesome people try out new things like this instead of doing the same old. However, it would need a fantastic beat for people to keep focused on the lyrics without losing concentration, due to the length. While I've never done a massive long verse on its own like this before, it's totally insane man, and I give you props for that.

Right content... Some interesting points you make in there... Good thinking material. This is a piece I would like to hear from you if you ever get the means, out of sheer curiosity other than anything else as to how you are going to pull off a verse that long. But I like how you're being creative with that, and I'm sure you've got it all worked out in your head. I look forward to reading more of your lyrics. :dj:

What does everyone else think of it? Keep the feedbacks comin', this song stands out as one of the more unique songs I ever wrote, so I'd really like to know what people think about it.
