To My Momma Written By J-o-e. When I was a kid, I never done what I was told Some say I was a little shít, some say I was cold But deep down, one women who granted me life Through hours of labour, that was her sacrifice It’s to my momma, the one who stuck straight thru Made me happy whenever I felt down and blue And even though at times I thought u didn’t understand But u knew that my dad could only tell me how to be a man I just want to say Ur appreciated for all that you’ve done And take this as a thank u letter from Ur only son I know I disappointed u at times, I didn’t have work And I’m sorry that it hurt, I felt like I was a jerk When pops was out of a job, when times were hard But we lived thru that, even though we’re scared I try and reminisce about the times u made me better Whatever the weather u was always wit me forever And even though I don’t show my love a lot I just want to give u the piece of love that I have got I hope that my memories of u will never fade away And no matter what people do, it don’t care what they say U taught me more than listen to other peoples hearts Told me to keep it real, stay in school and stay smart And even though I felt that I failed u, I’m sorry But I’m fully grown now, there’s no need for u to worry… This Is To My Momma Stuck Wit Me Thru The Drama This Is To My Family Kept Me Away From Insanity I know I seemed a bit crazy to u, so I dedicate this song Kept my mind on my ambitions and had to right my wrongs I know I wasn’t the best child, in late and being wild Even when I done something bad, she cried and smiled She knows I can’t be accounted for all my actions U took me to places I would of never seen, saw so many attractions I need u in my life, I’m Ur only son and with that in mind I tried to keep it real and write a rhyme all in time Even though u thought I was wasting time in doing this U still prayed for me every night and gave me a kiss And I’m thankful, there’s no words that can describe how I feel U kept me from the streets because u knew they were real U were there to wipe my tears, shared Ur views on my fears And told me about this life full of pressure and years And when my grandma died, u were the first to come to me Anytime I was in any trouble, u would come and run to me I know I felt I could of better, so with this love letter I’m telling you now that no one else could do it better… She’s the woman that raised me during this life of drama So without further ado, This is to my momma… This Is To My Momma Stuck Wit Me Thru The Drama This Is To My Family Kept Me Away From Insanity Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
