Liveshow op zondag 22 mei 2005 om 20u15 De liveshow met 8 studenten Internationale act: Bonnie Tyler Gastjurylid: Willy Sommers Verrassing van de week: Louis Afgelopen zondag was het de beurt aan sociologiestudente Evelien om de Star Academy te verlaten. Ze bleek niet opgewassen te zijn tegen Kristof, die de harten van de kijkers wist te veroveren met zijn breekbare versie van Yesterday. De acht overgebleven studenten hebben nu een kans op twee om in het groepje van de vier gebuisden te belanden. Dit hard wiskundig feit laat niemand in de academie onberoerd en de studenten zetten zich dan ook al de hele week met nog meer overgave in om er zondag een wervelende show van te maken. De songs die ze tijdens de liveshow brengen, zijn: -Easy in de versie van Faith No More gezongen door Pim en Kristof. -I Only Wanna Be With You van Dusty Springfield door Dorothy. -Can't Get You Out Of My Head van Kylie Minogue door Katerine. -Crazy In Love van Beyonce door Afi en Katy. -Whisper van Milk Inc. door een studente die producer/componist Regi Penxten zelf heeft gekozen. -De studenten brengen samen Buster Pointdexters Hit the Road Jack? en Have I Told You Lately? in de versie van Rod Stewart. -De verrassing is voor Louis. Hij zingt The Scientist van Coldplay. -Als kers op de taart brengt de enige echte Bonnie Tyler haar klassieker Total Eclipse Of The Heart samen met Katy. Belle Perez, Paul Ambach en Star Academy-directeur Jan Van Esbroeck zijn van de partij om de prestaties van de studenten te evalueren en te beoordelen. Zij worden deze week bijgestaan door gastjurylid Willy Sommers. Hij kan terugkijken op bijna 35 jaar ervaring in de Vlaamse muziekwereld. Ook in de volgende liveshows van Star Academy worden internationale supersterren verwacht. Sir Cliff Richard heeft toegezegd om op 29 mei 2005 als gastjurylid te fungeren.
