Tommy Lee Jones wants to know about Moscow kiss

NEW YORK (AP) — Will Smith may not want to talk about what happened last week in Moscow, but Tommy Lee Jones sure does.
The actors met on the black carpet at the premiere of "Men in Black 3" Wednesday night, with Jones twice asking Smith, "How's life in Moscow?"
Representatives from Sony Pictures and Smith's publicity team repeatedly told members of the media the star wouldn't be talking about the incident, but someone forgot to tell Jones.
A Ukrainian reporter tried to kiss Smith on May 18 at the Moscow premiere of the comedy. Smith pushed him away and slapped him with the back of his hand.
Wednesday night, Smith laughed off Jones' remarks, hugging his co-star and calling him "silly." He told Jones what happened in Moscow was "so sad."
As they broke their hug, Jones pretended to slap Smith as they turned to talk to separate reporters.
The rest of the event was a love fest for Josh Brolin, whose portrayal of a younger Agent K was deemed Oscar worthy.
"If Agent K were a real-life person and Josh Brolin gave the portrayal of Agent K that he gave in this movie, he'd be nominated for an Academy Award," said Smith. "It's like people just aren't even going to recognize the level and quality of the acting that he had to do, you know, being this young Tommy Lee Jones. It's just, it's brilliant."
Brolin said he never asked Jones for advice, but watched almost all his old movies and the original 'Men in Black' "probably 50 times."
"I practiced, I talked to myself, I do all the things that makes my family think I'm absolutely insane, but that's my job, you know?" said Brolin.
"Men in Black 3" opens Friday in U.S. and U.K. theaters.

can't wait to watch mib3 in 3d, going this weekend to local imax in belfast.

the trailer looks amazing, here is my favourite poster.
mib3-poster-smith-wheel.jpg

to be honest some of the story line in back to the future and terminator, other great franchise I love, left me scratching my head. No doubt I will leave the cinema with lots of questions but will be totally blown away by the visuals.

What a strap line...back to the past to save the future.

This was a decent review, I posted it to a site I do some work for:
The plot — in fact, any plot involving time travel — is a potential nightmare. The movie opens with an escape from a maximum security prison on the moon (man, the things the government manages to keep secret from us).
The escapee is a snaggletoothed, bear-like ET named Boris The Animal (Flight of the Conchords’ Jemaine Clement), who harbours a grudge towards Agent K (Jones) who’d captured him, and caused him to lose his arm, 40-plus years earlier.
His plan: steal a time machine, travel back to July,1969, and kill the young agent K before he could do his job. Just thinking about paradoxes can give you a migraine. For starters, once K ceases to exist, how does K’s partner J (Will Smith) remember that he did exist when no one else does? There’s some technobabble reason given, but basically, it’s “just ’cause.” Jones’ part in MIB3 amounts to little more than a cameo, since the whole movie is geared to its central premise, transporting J back to ’69 to play fish-out-of-timestream, giving him a chance to meet “Andy Warhol” and threaten to “pimpslap the shiznit” out of him.

Will Smith: 'Internet has created a ravenous beast'

Will Smith has said that the internet has created a "ravenous beast" when it comes to celebrity culture.

The musician-turned-actor told ShortList that the web has changed the nature of the media from the start of his career.

"It's become a really aggressive celebrity culture," he said.

"I've never been a part of all that. I don't call the damned paparazzi. There's always been almost a respectful relationship."

He continued: "Pretty much the past eight months is the first time it's gotten to the point where I couldn't just say, 'Hey guys, thanks, but I'm just chillin'.

"But there's this ravenous beast to be fed now, with the internet."

Asked if he was worried about his children Willow and Jaden going into that world, he added: "No, they were born into that world. They're on the internet all the time, so they know the game.

"They know where to go, what to say. They're far more savvy."

He added: "Of course there are gonna be things that are hurtful and self-esteem issues, like we all have.

"But I grew up in a neighbourhood where I saw a guy get shot and take nine bullets to the chest, so Hollywood is a far safer experience than where I grew up!"
