Jaden Smith's 'The Karate Kid' Gets New Action Trailer

Wow.... Those first bullying scenes culminating with Jaden's upward backhand of the bully at the 9 second mark just ensured that I'll be seeing this movie on opening night.

Damn that was a vicious backhand... Go Jaden...

SMH @ some of you for thinking this movie was going to be bad... you know who you are... :wave2:

Jaden Smith: Parents Will & Jada Favor Lil Sis

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's son Jaden may know how to throw a mean blow in The Karate Kid remake, but in real life, he's often the one under attack.

"Jaden's a good kid, [but] he's always bullied by his sister," Smith's costar Jackie Chan told PEOPLE with a chuckle at the L.A. premiere for their film Monday.

"I scream for my mom," Smith, 11, says of his 9-year-old attacker. "She usually takes Willow's side. My dad takes Willow's side, too. That's why I usually hang out with my brother [Trey]. I don't bully anyone."

Chan's no stranger to bullying either – except he was the one doing it. "When I was young, I always bullied somebody," Chan admits. "After I learned martial arts, I learned respect. And then like in the movie, after 30-something years of work, I came to America and I was like a fish out of water. I spoke no English, and so many people helped me."

All sibling rivalries aside, a gold-clad Willow – who's outfit closely resembled mama Jada's metallic ensemble – strutted her stuff on the red carpet and took a bully-free moment to help her older brother celebrate the release of his new film.

"The Karate Kid" LA Premiere

Will Smith Says Son Jaden’s Giving HIM Allowance Now!

Now that his son is starring in the new Karate Kid movie, Will Smith is confident that it’s Jaden who will be paying the family bills in years to come!

With the release of the latest Karate Kid movie less than a week away, it’s already clear that the film’s star, Jaden Smith, is going to be catapulted into the same stratosphere as his box-office champ of a dad, which, by the sounds of it, is a good thing for Will Smith’s wallet!

“He’s giving me allowance now!” Will laughed exclusively to HollywoodLife.com at The Karate Kid’s LA premiere June 7. The 41-year-old actor was quick to boast of his boy, “I’m very proud, mostly of his discipline. You know he’s ridiculously focused. And he is not scared to cry to get what he wants.”

What Jaden, 11, wants, is a career like his dad’s, but he knows it’s going to take a lot of hard work to get there. When asked how long it would take for him to usurp his papa he humbly uttered, “”Ummmm a couple decades! Couple decades!”

Better hurry up, Jaden — your dad wants his allowance and he wants it NOW!
