you like hipster rap right? lol want a link to the cool kids ep?

lol, like I don't already have it... I think these "hipster rap" are talented individuals with a terrible fashion sense and they can at times be corny...but I can very easily give them a pass for that being a JJFP fan and everything....

  2. this is madd difficult Turn

What? I recognized that verse from like the very first line!!!And so should every other hip hop fan.

And Mike gave us Outkast - Elevators?

    2000, something...1'st verse...rappers first album....legendary producer

    I'm the verbal-spit Smith Wesson

I unload with sick spit the quick wick could split a split-second

Bomb with a lit wick expression

You here a tick tick then you testin..

My saliva and spit can split thread into fiber and bits

So trust me, I'm as live as it gets

Everybody claimin they the best and head the throne

Since B.I.G is gone, if you ask me, they +Dead Wrong+

My flow is hotter than the flash from the click

When the hammer slaps the bullet on the ass from the clip

You wind up in a room full of my dawgs

I'll have you feeling like a fire hydrant in a room full of dogs

So come, come now, get pissed on, ****ted on

Tough talk turns to, "Can't we all just get along"

You get blazed when the mic's off, shot when it's on

You probably ducked when they laid the gun shot in your song

My gun strrr-utters when it speaks to you

Utter **** to repeat to you

Nothing the clip, then give a speech to you

Me and Premier, we kind of the same in ways

We both speak with our hands in dangerous ways

Rap now is a circus of clowns

A whole lot of lip from cliques I'd probably rap circles around

I'm the next best to reach a peak formerly known

as the best keep secret, I guess that I just leaked it

  4. And when has Rush Limbaugh ever been on the side of McCain? I think Obama and his supporters have distorted the record to show Rush and John as friends. Rush said he'd vote Hillary if McCain was the nominee. To lump those two together and to tag Rush's comments to the McCain camp is the same swift-boat tactics people abhore.

The far right got on McCains side as soon as it was decided he was the republican nominee...so a lot of media figure who esentially hate McCain's guts side with him when issues come up...its a whole party over person dynamic, you can rarely get a republican to say that they used to hate John McCain about a year ago.

  5. Schnazz and Ashtrey are just saying, "hey, you have an opinion, religion is an opinion. And you live your life off of that opinion. That includes voting or acting off of that opinion and affecting others. So, what if I disagree with your opinion? Should I be adversely affected by your opinion?"

We have freedom of speech, except when it comes to religion. That's absurd. Someone who has not taken the leap of faith to accept something that is illogical (I'm willing to admit it. It's faith, which is the absence of the most basic reason) should be able to be as LOUD or influential as the faithful. If we silence one group, or try to discredit that group because they are speaking against the majority's opinion, are we really promoting a democratic view of the world?

And Visqo, it got personal when AJ said those without a religion should shut up because they don't have any reason to stand up for anything. To accuse someone of having nothing for which to stand, and then telling that person he/she shouldn't have a say, THAT is personal. If I told you, "You're a Christian, so shut up", how would you react?

Exactly! Couldn't possibly put it better...Me and Schnazz aren't bad people for not being able to accept something that doesn't make sense to us. Doesn't mean that we don't want to stand up for society's rights and freedoms.

I personally think of it this way...if there really is a superior being watching over us and rewarding all that is righteous, he would definitely want us to question so many of of the things done in the name of religion.

  6. All this movie is a statement of uncertainty when it comes to a higher power and all the thought a belief in one creates (such as the afterlife). And although I'm the minority in this board, and country when it comes to saying this nobody could possibly know about these things, yet contradictory opinions are so openly voiced with irrational certitude. But I do realize having no faith is a luxury of not having too bad a life, and when stuck in hard times faith enables people to find comfort and optimism and I understand that.

With that being said, religion plays too much of a role in politics and society today for it to go unquestioned and accepted as having factual accuracy and incontrovertible morality...

  7. Russel Brand has to grow on you, i really didnt like him at first, i hated his druggy background and the way he dresses, but now i think hes really funny. Ive not watched this yet, i'll catch it hopefully.

I think he's hilarious, it's just that he had to do a pop star pandering act which was mtv friendly...making like the one redeeming component of the vmas unwatchable!

  8. If your a rap fan who is gutted over the game not outselling slipknot, you are not really a hip hop head.First of all nobody is supposed to care so much about an artist who is pretty much dabbling in formulaic mediocrity. A true hip hop head knows that well into the mid nineties, hip hop which was truly exceptional or exciting wouldn't ever sell as much as a mainstream artist...illmatic, ressonable doubt, ready to die...all criminally undersold but gathered nerdy cult followings and eventually generated great sales...

Not to be pedantic, well maybe a little, but Ready To Die sold well from the get go.

But I agree with your general point :)

Oh my bad...I remember hearing a Talib Kweli interview where he said that early Biggie didn't sell well at all...But I can imagine that stuff like "Big Poppa" and "One more Chance" were big hits...

  10. I see both sides of the abortion issue...I'm not religious at all but I'm against murder at any cost. But not enough scientific evidence has convinced me on the pro life side of things...in Texas all I've had are right wing religious groups trying to manipulate data to push their agenda on you. But I'm definitely not decisive enough to say that a fetus is not a living thing. I usually tend to support pro choice candidates though, due to them having similar opinions with me on other issues...
