UK Soul Queen Beverley Knight is releasing a collection of her hits entitled "Voice - The Best Of Beverley Knight" on March 21st 2006. It contains 11 Top 40 hits from her 1995 club classic debut, "Flava of the old School”, to her latest 2005 Top 20 hit "Keep This Fire Burning". It will be preceded on March 7th by a brand new single, 'Piece Of My Heart', Beverley's blistering interpretation of the Janis Joplin classic that she was first invited to perform with Ronnie Wood earlier this year and which became a live favourite on her 2005 tour.

The 32 year old Wolverhamptoner’s achievements are many - triple Mobo winner, double Brit and Mercury award nominee, she has outlasted many of her contemporaries from the mid 90’s, and has had three critically acclaimed gold selling albums since signing to Parlophone in the mid 90’s: 1998’s Prodigal Sista, 2002’s Who I Am and 2004’s Affirmation. Containing hits from throughout her 10 year career including her Top 10 smashes ‘Shoulda Would Coulda’ and ‘Come As You Are’, six of the eleven Top 40 hits contained here went Top 20, including ‘Made It Back’, ‘Get Up!’ and ‘Greatest Day’.

Acknowledged by critics and peers as one of the best vocalists the UK has produced, it is her stunning soul/gospel voice and live performances for which she is perhaps best known. She has been invited to sing for various celebrated figures including Mohammed Ali, Nelson Mandela and even the leaders of the G8. She has also sung on stage with artists from Chaka Kahn to Bryan Adams and on record with Jay Kay, Jools Holland and Courtney Pine, to name a few as well as with the host of megastars on last year’s number one Band Aid 20 single.

As well as the new single, ‘Piece Of My Heart’, “Voice…” also contains previously unreleased bonus tracks including Knight’s stunning live version of Robbie Williams’ ‘Angels’ recorded for Radio 2 with the song’s co-writer Guy Chambers earlier this year and a previously unheard song, the haunting ‘Who’s Gonna Save Your Soul’.

Knight, who is also working on a new studio album for Parlophone due for release in early 2007, will be touring ‘Voice – The Best Of Beverley Knight’ in spring 2006 – details to be announced.

The single ‘Piece Of My Heart’ is released on March 13th 2006
