  1. I diagree with the internet point, but the rest was the truth!
  2. MIB 1 is classic...MIB 2 sucked...one of will's worst movies beside Wild Wild West...and to MIB 3 Hell naw! Even if he is involved in the soundtrack he should do it for another movie! A song for a drama movie would be interesting in the near future ... he should have made a track for POH type of "Just the two of us"!
  3. Heard that track...it is pure fire...certainly best hip hop song in a long time!
  4. Mike Lowrey The character in enemy of state Muhammed Ali Chris Gardner
  5. Miami Vice (the movie) was whack... Glad that Will turned down the role...But some roles Will turned down are sad...Matrix, Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Charlie and the Chocolate factory!
  6. I think it isn't Will's fault that Lost and Found "just" went gold...If Intersope promoted this one just like 50 cents or Eminem's album he probably would have gone plat or multiplat...People have to realize when we speak of Will Smith that you cannot compare him to othe positive MC's like Mos Def or Common saleswise, Dude sold 30 mill worldwide before even Lost and Found came out! Furthermore he should have battled Eminem and dropped some ether...Em took it too far with disrespecting him in 2001! He would have been in every hip hop fans top ten of the greatest rappers...The same thing worked for Nas with Stillmatic and for LL with GOAT!
  7. I also think that he will just present!
  8. It looks like him...is Will the only rapper on Madame Tussauds or are their others?
  9. We'll see what happens ... i think it will answer the question if retirement or not ... I think the last time they put this site on Lost and Found came out!

  14. Will Smith In Negotiations To Play Philly Chess Player, Teacher By Alexis Jeffries and Houston Williams Date: 1/22/2007 1:15 pm After a highly-acclaimed performance as Chris Gardner in The Pursuit of Happyness, Will Smith may play another real-life hero, Salome Thomas-El, in an upcoming Disney film. Smith is in negotiations to play Salome Thomas-El, a well known middle school principal and school board member in Philadelphia. Thomas-El chronicled his life in an autobiography called I Choose To Stay: A Black Teacher Refuses to Desert the Inner City, and Disney decided to turn the book into a motion picture based on Thomas-El's inspirational story. "I'm trying to get young people to understand that they have to try to give to the community because the community gave to us," Thomas El told AllHipHop.com. "At some point the community supported us or our parents so that we could be in the position where we are." Born into a fatherless home as one of eight kids in Philadelphia's tough inner city, Thomas-El left home to pursue his own dreams, only to return as a middle school teacher in his old community. His work as a teacher and principal at Reynolds Elementary School in North Philadelphia caught the attention of community members and even California State Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who awarded a $20,000 grant to Thomas-El's school. In his biography, Thomas-El notes the impact that the game of chess has had on his life. At a young age he learned the game of chess from an older brother, but never utilized his chess skills until he became a teacher, using chess as a way to teach his students many life-lessons, including decision-making, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. "It's mentally challenging," Thomas-El continued. "You know, we come from a people that built pyramids that are still standing today with no machinery, no modern technology, and no nothing. So, if a kid is trying to master 64 squares, it's mathematical and very scientific. But it's also critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and these are all skills that our children have." His success with students at Philadelphia's Vaux Middle School playing chess has led to eight national championships and many of his students became motivated to stay in school, graduated and went on to attend college. "When a young kid is growing up in the hood, they have to make several different life changing decisions on a daily basis," Thomas-El said. "He's got to know whose house to go into, whose house they are selling drugs out of, who drives stolen cars, who's carrying a weapon, who's looking for who. Chess is a series of decisions, consequences, rewards, sacrifices, and it's so relevant to a kid growing up in the projects and in public housing because you've got to be willing to take prisoners when you play chess. So, really it's like a release for these kids who are dodging bullets every day." Thomas-El now works to spread chess to all school children, working with America's Foundation for Chess. Disney Studios is preparing the untitled film on Thomas-El's life, which was written by Don D. Scott (Barbershop 1 and 2) and is based on the educator's autobiography. His second book, The Immortality of Influence features an excerpt written by Will Smith. http://www.allhiphop.com/hiphopnews/?ID=6623
  15. Kontempt has proven that he can make remixes of Will`s song! He should do a runaway love/tell me why remix! A video for the remix would also be good so that we can put it on youtube!
  16. I think with the single releases there happened some mistakes on Lost and Found! First of all I think it was the right decision to release Switch(a pop-oriented song) as the first single of the album to get attention back to music. It did well and pushed the album to 600000 units and Will won an ama! After that they allowed Will to release Party Starter with a hot video...problem here is black radio didn`t check for it and the release date was a half year later than switch and he didn`t perform and promoted it. In someway it is also Wills mistake that i flopped. If Little Brother make some noise that BET don`t play there song ... Will can do this with his starpower!. I guess Interscope would have released Tell me why if Party Starter had been at least a top 20 hit. I`m very sure that it could have been topped gettin jiggy wit it successwise with Mary J. Blige on it and the great message of the song!!! To Lerkots point that Will retired in autumn 2005, I think did this happened before. I think Will wanted to hear people`s opinion on the album and then decide if he does another album or not! And people didn`t gave him so much positive feedback for this album since the days of the Fresh Prince! he won on allhiphop.com the best comeback of 2005, Illseed named him Person of the year, hip hop community defended him against bow wow`s statement/ some people also that eminem was wrong to diss him, they make will smith appreciation threads on other hip hop boards pay respect to his achievements, this month on allhiphop.com they showed respect to rappers that don`t curse...a lot of people also beyond this board see Lost and Found as at least a 4 mic album, normally (4.5 - 5 mic)! Rappers mention Wills name DMX,T.I, Lil Wayne, Ying Yang Twins etc. On the music of moving images Queen Latifah, Mos Def, Dame Dash payed tribute to his achievements!!!! Hip Hop recognises the MC Will Smith again and not the rapper turned actor or actor turned rapper...I guess this is all that Will wanted with L&F!
  17. Forest Whitaker deserved this...he did an excellent performance! Maybe in a few years...Denzel was nominated also a couple of times before he got an oscar!
  18. I didn't want to offend people with this thread...but fact is that Will mentioned 2 times that he wants to hang up the mic in the last 2 months! Some people here have to realize that FP won't rap forever and that it seems to be sooner then some of us expected. Just my 2 cents to the reaction of people to the topic!
  19. Will black radio finally play one of his songs? or will hip hop community pay tribute to his achievements in his career? what do y`all think people?
  20. Hopefully he don`t do a Jay-Z stunt, cause his so called comeback album Kingdome Come was whack...! I think pushing the careers of Kel Spencer or Nick Cannon would be a wiser choice than K Smith!
  21. I Saw this cominng...! Believe me people in a few days it will be official! 9 albums , 20 years in da game , 30 million records sold, 4 grammys several classics .... which other rapper can look back to such achievements!
