40000 the first week..that's really sad...maybe it will become the first record of him, which will not at least gold! this time he can't blame on jay-z because he aint at def jam anymore!

This album is better than the both last from LL. I still find the album average, expected more from him because it is his last Def Jam CD! LL should have retired after 10 that was his last really good album!

I don't feel the song...it's too much pharell style and not enough classic Common. Hopefully he doesn't drop another Electric Circus soon. I'd rather prefer Resurrection, Be or Like Water for chocolate...

How the beat goes is beside Block Party and BTR one on of the best songs on that album(Musical equal to WWW). If u compare it to Will's complete catelog it is just average!

Bomb interview from Skillz....the second one confirming with ATOJ producers (I don't know their name) that Eminem is a former Will Smith fan! Then he has the nerve to diss Will??? Will should have treated him LL did Canibus!

1. Lost & Found - His best solo album, lyrics, beats and flow everything was on point ... one of the best hip hop albums album in 2005 beside Common's Be and Little Brother's minstrel show! If it would have sold more ...the public would have recognized it would have been classic status just like He's the DJ I'm the Rapper! Really bad promotion from Intersope and after Switch from Will, too. 4.5 mics
2. Big Willie Style - Great fun and party album with some serious undertones (Just the two of us, Just cruisin), A lot of mass appeal, production very commercialized, but everyone was doing this from Rakim to Jay-Z in 97! Kept Will's rap career going...for me it was a right step from Will because at this time Hip Hop's Internatization began and Will became the first "global rap superstar" (ask Russel Simmons)! By the way he showed Jive records that he can still sell records! 4 mics
3. Willenium - I like Jazz's involve in the production, but overall the album tries to do some crossover from BWS (Will 2K, Freakin it) to the old JJ+FP (so fresh, potnas) days. And I think this combination of both wasn't done well...it would have been better if Will spit on some of Jeff's solo stuff (Magnificient)! WWW is one of the best hip hop videos ever made. 3 .5 mics
4. Born to Reign - Very experimental, Will seemed not really focussed on music on this album. Like he was pushed to put on album, was marketed whack. The gereral bias from rap critics against Will was higher than ever, also because he got dissed by a white boy from Detroit! :-) 3 mics

Enemy of State is one of my favourite Will Smith movies! Hopefully Empire will top that....Denzel's last movies were Drama Thrillers (Deja Vu, Man on Fire)! Denzel & Will in a Drama would be dope, too!

That parallelism is garbage....JJ+FP were making music for everyone from 5 to 50 year old could listen to it...clever storytelling with comedy! Soulja Boy is making garbage, but its focused on kids with it dancing and stuff...(if there is some kind of comparism than I would say Kris Kross)! But also Jay mentions an important point that the acceptance for different styles of hip hop is nowadays much lesser than back in the day. And that is one of the main reason why hip hop is dead...

I am Legend was a dope movie ... and made people aware of the fact that he is a Legend, but I don't know how people will react after hancock! After Wild Wild West...Ali was not such a box office hit but got a lot of critical praise and after that MIB2 came out and the opposite happened! If there is a dope trailer for Seven Pounds the hype for Will Smith movies will continue...

did I miss something, is there a specific reason people are calling him out? *no I didn't watch the videos* b/c I think it's asinine for grown ass men, (some of whom are middle aged) to be arguing with a child...over the internet of all places? this is how stupid "beefs" and rap wars get started, grow up. :shakehead: they should all take a minute and do something meaningful, write a song that contributes something positive to hip hop, start a charity or something....get a GED, y'know? *sigh*
seriously it really is kinda sad that this is the direction hip hop has gone in.

I saw it yesterday...as sadly it is ..I think that this is his worst movie since Wild Wild West. They should have made the second half of the movie to a transitition from good to bad. And the release date for such a movie would have been in November/December better. It is far away from typical summer blockbuster, maybe they should have sticked to traditional superhero movie with a great bad guy!

That's ridiculous...he helped to build Def Jam and they supported him every time in his career! Now of all sudden if its albums flops and he can't blame it on Jay-Z, Def Jam is guilty??? LL must lost his mind! According to sohh.com Nelly will do similar numbers and he once went 9x plat with Country Grammar. Hip Hop sales are a shame nowadays, but hopefully art will get more attention than mainstream gimmicks.
