  2. I just finished a 2-disc best of comp of Will and JJFP and wanted to know what everyone thought. I know that there is going to be songs people wish were on here but I have to say that all these songs flow very well together and this is my final tracklisting after fighting the urge the to put all of 'my' favorite songs on here (there is defintily stuff I wish was on them too).

Truthfully I wish I could show all of you the way I made these songs flow together. I have been making music since I was 13 (I'm now 24) and have a very good ear for music. That being said there are new fades, slight edits, and echo on a track or two just to make things flow better. I created these discs with in the intention to be listened to from start to finish. Therefore, many tracks run right into the next and it really creates a DJ/mixtape vibe (especially Vol 2). For real if anyone would be interested in these comps I would be happy to send them to anyone who asks.

  3. Alright let me start by saying as you all know (Im in the the minority here) that Born To Reign is my fav Will solo album. I just got L&F yesterday and I've been listening to it a lot. I like it quite a lot and yeah he is definitly spittin' some sh*t on the new album. Here is my only problem with it, I'm a huge fan of sharp crisp snare drums and there is very little sharp snares on the new album. Besides that small thing I think the album is great, not his best, but great. Light years better than BWS but not quite as good as Willennium or B2R but it is some of the best rap work I've heard in years. I've been talking to a lot of people lately who are big rap fans and they think Will is great. Maybe not as good as, for example, Ice Cube's early sh*t as far as roughness but think that Will is a great rapper and is not to be denied his place in rap history. L&F will find an audience and if it doesn't then we can all rest assured that we listen to some of the best music in the world. It makes me f*cking sick to hear some of the crap that people consider 'great' music. This is hands down the hungriest Will has been in years as far as rap is concerned and it really shows that getting ignored pisses him off a lot. Is this album a classic? Will it go down in history? Probably not. But it does prove a point, and that point is that Will has been doing this for years and it's about time that people listen to what he has to say, they don't have to like it but they better listen because he is making a statement. That statement is: I've been doing this rap sh*t for years and until you have done it as long as me you aint't got sh*t to say, until then take a step back and reevaluate the rap game because it is slippin!"

  4. I found it hard to say what my fav was from Willennium and B2R because I like these albums so much. My selections from those albums are more the songs I've been listening to a lot lately. Next week it could be differnt. I too love Block Party and I love the harmonies in the chorus. The Rain I don't really like all that much but definitly don't hate it.

  5. I was listening to BWS today and realized which song I like the best so I figured I'd make a list and see what you guys fav songs are from these 3 albums.

    BWS - I Loved You

    Willennium - Da Butta

    B2R - I Can't Stop

Ahh the hell with it while I'm at it I might as well do the other albums.

Rock the House - Rock the House

He's the DJ... - Brand New Funk

And In This Corner - Jeff Waz on the Beat Box

Homebase - You Saw My Blinker

Code Red - Twinkle Twinkle (I'm Not a Star)

  6. hey 6 question to you about born to reign..do you like the beats? do you like tra knoxs vocals? do you like the way will raps on the album? i think wills lyrical content is top notch but im not sure about the rest myself..

I do like the beats and I like the little bit more roughness to the album. Tra-knox can get a little old after awhile, granted, but overall it doesn't bother me and I like it. Will sings a lot more on this album which at first I was not sure how to take it but I fast liked it. I'm not sure what else to say about the album I just think it's great. I think most of the raps are better on this album than on Willennium although I really really like that album too. Big Willie Style is a little hard for me to get into and I'm not quite sure why.

  7. Everybody seems so shocked that I would sell these albums but you have got to remember that I didn't like them at the time so therefore I didn't want them. I grew up listening to JJFP and when I got his first 2 solo albums it just wasn't enough JJFP for me and I (at the time) wasn't willing to except Will solo, so that is what happened. Plus when I got his first 2 solo albums I was listening to a lot of Ice Cube and it just wasn't as rough and tough as gangsta. Times have changed and I like a lot of different music now, although I must admit I don't listen to a lot of rap. I definitly like rap and when it's good it's great but when it's not good it is so f*cking terrible I can't even understand why anyone would pay money for it. Anyway... I think Willenium is a great album and I can't wait for Big Willy Style to come in the mail, I am looking very forward to listening to it!! Oh by the way I have been listening to a lot of Will and JJFP lately (as you know) and the other night I had a f*cking dream about Will. In my dream he was like my high school teacher or something (I'm 24 and haven't been in school for a long time now) and I was listening to his stuff in class and he was getting pissed at me telling me to study! Strange dream but very funny!!

  8. Well Willenium came yesterday and I've been listening to it a lot. I think it's definitly a great album (not sure why I hated the first time arund). I can't say that I like it better than Born to Reign although it is more funky. There is something about Born to Reign that I like a lot so I think so far I still like that one better. I love the song Who Am I off Willenium what a great song!

  9. U sold Big Willie Style and Willennium?!?! What on earth were u thinking."?!?!??

When I first got them I didn't like them at all. I know... I know. As time has gone on and reading a lot of the posts from you guys, I've decided to get them again and they are on their way in the mail. I look forward to hearing them again and I hope I like them more this time around. Not sure why I didn't like them before but considering I like Born to Reign I'm sure I will love those 2.
