Right under the "New Topic" button is the word "Options." You shall click this word. More words will appear. Under "Display Modes" is a fascinating word called "Standard," you shall also click this. You shall then proceed to thanking me.
God Blessa!

Murs: The beats are different. Maybe you can dance to them or maybe they'll play it on the radio, but I'm never changing what I'm talking about. People used to say that I spit gangstar raps just over underground beats, so now that I got the gangster beats, my whole album is about peace and love. There's so much negativity, so all I wanna talk about is peace, love and respect. There's enough people doing gangster rap. The kids need something different.
I hear he's got a new album with 9th Wonder coming out this year, too...And Hyphy is all about having fun. That's what he's doin. It's a fun track...I like it.

Sounds like Murs might have a few Hyphy tracks on his new album... :wickedwisdom:

Link doesn't work, but I'd assume it's because I don't have a myspace account. Thanks though, I'll just pass them the Info...

Yo Brakes. you think you can post a link to where Kel posted this? I'd like to show it to a few other Producers...

It's gotten to the point where I've got at least SOME got respect for any rap song that's hook isn't the repetition of 1-3 words.
SAD.
God Blessa!
Sometimes hooks are just meant to be catchy so people remember the song. Look at "Switch"..

I've lost almost all of my respect for Jay (it's more like I lost all of it, but now I feel better) after I saw what I saw about his song, I don't remember the title, but if you flip it over and play you hear awful things.
There are rappers I like from the first time I hear them, Jay is not one of them. Sorry, I didn't match the topic :sorry:
I think i know what you're talking about. It was the video where someone was playing it in Church, right?
That song was the Interlude on DJ DangerMouse's "The Grey Album" (A Project Jay Z had NOTHING to do with). Danger Mouse Pieced all that together. I guess to an extent he was trying to be artistic, since there are a lot of rumors that the Beatles purposely put backwards messages in some their music (I don't know if that was Danger Mouses intent though, just my assumption).....Jay had nothing to do with the track. Danger Mouse just randomly pieced together vocals from "Threats".

If JJFP were on Hip Hop Honors
in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince

Nas.
And aside from JJFP, I think Next years should include De La Soul, Too Short, Gangstarr, Jay Z...Just to name a few.
