  1. I thought Nore was fine. it was just a bunch of friends vibin'....But interviews like this remind me why i became a fan of Will Smith and stayed one for 3+ decades. its an understatement to say he's deep. Its not just the same old cliche answers. Some of what he says can resonate with me. What he said about death at the end really touched me due to some personal things. I can relate to everything he said about his sister in that part is the short of it....But that aside he's just a very human, and humble person. Great interview.

  2. Yea, of course places like reddit have a hivemind and are still whining about the slap (i swear they act like he murdered their dog on stage), but the overall consensus is positive...Seems like people are willing to give him a 2nd chance, finally. I don't know how "Over" the new music will be in today's market, but i think people are intrigued to say the least, especially after that performance.

  3. I’m glad to hear that and I hope he’s working with some bigger name producers. I felt like he’s kinda shunned embracing more of the hip hop world on previous albums. You look at guys like LL working with Pharrell, Timbo and what not. I’ve always wanted to see what Will could accomplish with that level of production behind him. Trackmasters were fine for the hits, but for some real hip hop I wanna see him branch out.

  4. It’s been a few months since the Oscar’s incident and the public hasn’t seemed to let up on him. There was a post I saw on Reddit a few days ago. It was an image from behind the scenes of Men in Black. A shot of Will sitting on a bench. The entire point of the post was to show how much work and equipment goes into filming on simple shot. In the comments some of the most upvoted comments had to do with his career being over now or making jokes like “keep my next film offer out your f’n mouth” (alluding to studios pulling offers or flat out no longer offering them to him.)

im not condoning what he did, but it’s kind of absurd to me that one lapse in judgement and one completely uncharacteristic decision has erased more than 30 years of his public image. People have done way worse and have been embraced by the public upon their return. But people really seem to have an undeserved hatred of the Smith family, so much so that they’re happy Will is going through this.

so ultimately, how can he bounce back? What does he have to do to win the public back?
