  1. At the risk of sounding like Monty Burns - "Eeexcellent"

Don't forget UK people, America has their dates all mixed up so its MM/DD/YY whereas we, logically use DD/MM/YY :lolsign:

    :lolsign:

Thats why I wanted to clarify things!!!

We are the more logical nation aren't we!!!

 ORRRRRRRRRRR... Are you just silly and easily confused?? (we win! )

  2. Hmmmm... I feel I should be frank for a second and assess my long-term Podcast future. :sigh: I'm leaving tommorow for a week to visit a friend up in NY... and then two weeks later I'm heading off to college lol... I'm not sure what my computer situation will be at school, but I can't gaurantee I'm gonna be able to be a part of any Podcasts while I'm living there and not home on break... Soooooooo, basically, with all of this talk about establishing a core and whatnot, I'm not sure I'm gonna be too reliable in that respect :uhh: which is frustrating because I think it would be incredibly fun to be a part of this... That said, I still would LOVE to be a part of this whenever I can, but if you wanna get the first show done or whatever in the next week (I'll be back next weekend), you can go ahead.........

  3. I remember the first time I saw a site using this number trick online a couple years back or so. I was completely enthralled for a few minutes. But then, being the math GENIOUS that I am :1-say-yes: (even though I recently racked up a score of "1" on the AP Calculus exam... shhhhhhhh), I figured out the trick. And I was highly dissapointed. :sigh: Obviously, all magic boils down to a trick or an illusion, but I always have this delusional hope that some of it won't. Just me? Ah well. :wiggle:

  4. Maybe I'm twisting your original concept for this thread, Schnazz  but alotta songs remind me of certain memories, too. And I always find that kinda funny, how certain tracks bring me right back to very specific times and places. Primarily for my own amusement, here's a list of some JJFP tracks that are that way for me. :chuks: This may of may not be interesting for anyone else but myself...

Candy: I'm at a "Valentine's Day Party" at this girl's house in 5th grade. Heck yes, a boy-girl Valentine's day party at age 10 is a big deal, despite the fact that, as far as I can remember, all I did was drink fruit punch and play Nintendo 64 with my compadres. But every time I hear this song, brings me right back.

Then She Bit Me: I distinctly remember hearing this song for the first time. My friend Sean and I were just starting to delve into old JJFP stuff, and Sean had burned this song on a mix CD. We were listening to it while playing video game wrestling on Nintendo 64 (a game system that is a recurring theme in my memories from this period) at his house, and when this song came on, we just died. Funniest thing in the world, as far as I was concerned. I lost it, to a ridiculous degree.

Taking It To The Top: I heard this song for the first time just a few months ago, when someone generously linked it up on this forum. Anyways, on May 1st, my deadline day for my college decision, I listened to this track on loop for like, 3 hours. Clearly, old school Rock the House tracks are condusive to making big life decisions. Anyways, there I was, home alone, the Syracuse and Iona applications laying out in front of me on the kitchen table, the post office closing-time approaching ever so quickly... ugh, I'm getting stressed just thinking about it, and this song will always make me feel like that now. Oh well lol.

Gettin Jiggy Wit It: Pretty much everything circa 5th grade is intertwined with this song, but I specifically remember listening to it in my friend's van on the way for this end-of-the-year thing at this girl's house near the beach. And yes, we were rapping along. Because that's how we rolled.

Party Starter: I remember driving to school for graduation practice insanely early the morning before the big day, playing this song. It was cloudy and raining, and I couldn't believe high school was over. And I needed a loud track to keep me from falling asleep at the wheel lol.

Switch: I distinctly remember hearing this the first time, sitting right where I am at this computer, looking at this very same forum just a few short months ago (although it looked a little different at that point). I was pissed.

Willenium: Reminds me of Christmas day, 1999. Got the CD as a gift, along with a portable CD player. Sitting on the couch in my living room, in front of the christmas tree, listening to it over and over and over. Thanks, Santa.

So Fresh: The aforementioned Sean had Willenium, among other things, playing at his birthday one year (7th grade, maybe?) and I made him play this song, even tho he didn't like it, because I was obsessed with it at the time (still am, really). We were out in his driveway, and I was near the food table eating chips (mmmm), and I remember exactly who I was talking to. Good times.

Well, this has been a fun little excercise of random memories for me before I go to sleep. Ummmm... done! :1-say-yes:

  5. Ok, I'm far too lazy to read all of these long posts about record sales, a topic that I'm not really passionate about (understatement of... forever). But I just read a few of Max's rants, and I feel the need to point out that he is, unquestionably, an expert at "bolding" words and phrases to emphasize points. If I am the master of clickable smilies, MaxFly is the master of bold font. He is the master. Ok, that's all for me.

  6. "Nuthin But a G Thang" is classic and I'd like to hear that, even tho it'd be strange to hear anything else rapped over it but Snoop and Dre's original rhymes.... Jurassic 5's "Quality Control" is so chill, I love that beat... also from Jurassic, "WOE is Me (World of Entertainment)"... And I love the Marvin Gaye sample on Erick Sermon's "Just like Music"... And maybe Tribe's "Buggin Out" or "Electric Relaxation"... Soul of Mischeif's "93 til Infinity" too... Ok done! :2thumbs:

  7. - a comfortable beach chair

    - my iPod

    - a large bucket of chicken from KFC

    - a tall stack of napkins (or, for you Brits, towellettes or whatever u call em... not daipers, hardy har har)

That should make for a solid day or two stranded. But eventually, I'll need to get outta there, so I also want...

    - a helicopter (stealing Kev's idea... but no pilot, I'm trying this out myself)

    Aaaaaaaand...

    - a cell phone (just incase the helicopter expiriment doesnt work out, and I gotta call for help)

Yes, I spent a solid 5 minutes formulating this answer. :wtf:

  8. I know that just mentioning a current movie can be kinda a weak topic for a new thread, but hey, it's been done before. :wiggle: Anyone seen this flick? I saw it tonight, and I must say, top-notch comedy. :2thumbs: Thoughts, comments, opinions...?

  9. I like alotta the shows ppl have already mentioned (Simpsons, Family Guy, Seinfeld, Malcolm in the Middle, Scrubs, Chappelle's Show), but noone's mentioned...

1.) Late Night with Conan O'Brien

2.) The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

    3.) ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT

I am insanely enthusiastic about these shows, especially AD (hence the CAPS). Check em out. :2thumbs:

  10. Here's what I feel Scy. You're actually working for a top secret government organisation involved with alien invasion and the reason for you posting these questions here is to evaluate the potential test subjects for future alien abduction. So tell me Scy, did I just stumble upon your evil world domination scheme or do I need to seek help for extreme paranoia?

In short, you caught me. :haha: But as for me never answering the questions, maybe I'll go back & answer em all sometime soon...

  11. like in switch, when he does his whole "what you too cute to dance..or are u scared" thats maaaad cheesy

OK, I know I've made it quite clear in the past that I'm not the biggest fan of Switch. :wiggle: But I gotta say, this past weekend, I was at my friend's graduation party, and of course, Switch came on. Surprisingly enough, I really wasn't minding it too much as background music (maybe this was because the night's other selections ranged from 50 Cent to the Ying Yang Twins). ANYways, I was kind of enjoying it... that is, until the "too cute" line came, the little whiney noise cut into the beat, and Will referred to his new dance craze as the "Switcheroo." :wtf: That was it. I was done! :chuks: Gosh... I can't wait till more Will airplay centers around Party Starter. :1-say-yes: Ok, I'm done. lol

  12. At long last, someone invents "the dream VCR." This machine allows you to tape an entire evening's worth of your own dreams, which you can then watch at your leisure. However, the inventor of the dream VCR will only allow you to use this device if you agree to a strange caveat: When you watch your dreams, you must do so with your family and your closest friends in the same room. They get to watch your dreams along with you. And if you don't agree to this, you can't use the dream VCR. Would you still do this?

  13. Big Willie Style will always be my favorite outta the 3. :1-say-yes: I genuinely enjoy every track, which is something I can't say for Willenium or Lost & Found. Meanwhile, ranking the other two is a little difficult for me. :hmm: Both have their high points (So Fresh, Will 2k, The Rain... Here He Comes, Loretta, If You Can't Dance) and their low points (Freakin It, Da Butta... Switch, Mr. Niceguy), but overall, they're both similar in quality. And they're both much closer to BWS than, say, Born to Reign. :wtf: Turntable... what?!??! :haha:
