anyway to give my peeps out there an update: this morning, the social worker called and told us that we're going to work with another social worker that's off right now until tuesday since "lincoln's birthday" is being observed so on tuesday we'll talk to her on the phone for scheduling another appointment at the house, god willing the appointment is sooner rather than later since there's a 100-day deadline right now with what his medicare will pay for at the rehab that he's staying at, the deadline comes on april 18th, time's starting to tick, it reminds me of this song i came across on a cassette tape i recorded from a cd i borrowed from the library back in 2003: tank's "race against time" remix feat. ja rule:



i'd probably use that instrumental to sing out that "going for success" song that i shared with y'all, i recorded it accapella on my voice recorder i have, i got so many ideas right now, maybe i'll make an album out of this experience, i know i'll probably call it "new chapter" like i mentioned since my life has a new story to it, haha..

the frustration sets in for me though on a real to fight for him to get this healthcare coverage 'cause my papa worked hard between living in haiti and coming to america to be a manager at hartz mountain but times been rough after he got laid off for us and his retirement benefits got lost, like he always taught me though that to be grateful in every little thing and everything comes in time, it took him about 40 years of hard working many jobs after he started out working as an 18 year old kid in haiti at his sister's shop as a clerk to become a manager at hartz mountain in kearny new jersey, he's the living proof of the american dream

once again thanks for the feedback y'all, i'm actually getting bored trying to be a super lyricist especially since all the great lyricists never get the credit they deserve, I'm just trying to make songs with a strong message to them whether it's super lyrical or not, that's what this "new chapter" concept i've been working on for the past few months and it's come in even stronger with my papa being sick and all the frustration all my family and friends been feeling the hurt from getting him the proper health care for his medical tests, this is a trying time for me, i realise this is all a test since i'm "going for success"

i actually plan on singing this one out, it's the structure of an r&b song, singin' out my blues, lol, the problem like i said in the song explains it all, i'm barely just getting by on this old windows 98 computer i've had since 2004, maybe if i hook up with a friend with a modern computer i could get some stuff recorded

everything's lining up for the perfect timing of a jjfp album, i was listening to lost and found the other day and came across this 20th anniversary tribute rap i wrote for them and i posted it in numero uno, feeling good about what's ahead for sure!
