Lerkot i understand what your saying, but a bit harsh using them terms.

Alcohol does make you more confident but shouldnt be used just for that cause. Its a socialising drink, thats what its good for.

if only they lived in england... then they'd understand.

Amen to that!

I'm wanting to start my own small business. But i just don't know where to start. Has anyone considered taking this route themselves and how did you get started.

A wise slogan once said "Just Do It" I know a lot of people who've talked about starting this or that business, but that's as far as most of them take it. In my view, the most important thing is to start doing things. Plans are good, but they don't accomplish anything by themselves. And regardless of how much you study it and plan for it, you don't really know what you're doing till you try (and frequently mess up) a few times.

I started a software company a few years ago. To get started I, in this order, developed a product, went down to the local government building to registered a company name, registered a website, developed a website, and setup an account with a merchant. Of course your steps will likely be different depending on the type of business you're starting.

Are those ads on the internet about how you have to put out a payment to get information to start a buisiness at home actually legit? I've been curious to know since I've seen quite a bit of them when I do job searches

Well I could use a bit of advice...

So I'm dating a guy from my work and we've been dating for about 2 months. Things are going really well between us and I don't see us breaking up anytime soon. Everything's going great and I'm really happy to be with him.

However, there's another guy at my work who likes me. A LOT. And it sucks. He knows I have a boyfriend and he knows I don't particularily have feelings for him. We're friends tho, so that's why this is hard. I don't want to just say go away and leave me alone. I just want him to realize that I'm taken and happy, and to move on to someone else...

I've only recently discovered that he likes me and now he's doing things that are bugging me. He's not physically harrassing me or anything, so don't freak out. It's just that lately he's been leaving me messages on myspace, asking me weird questions that I really don't want to answer, like "Let's say you weren't going out with <insert name here> and I asked you out, and he asked you out that same day, who would you choose?" And things like that. I'm starting to get the feeling that he's plotting to get me and <insert name here> to break up or something.

What should I tell him? What should I do? He's a cool guy and all and I still want to be friends, but this is starting to go over the line. I don't know what to do about it... can anyone please give me some good advice?? I'd really appreciate it...

**EDIT**

I forgot to mention that I haven't told my boyfriend about this, should I talk to him about it as well? Or would that not be such a good idea?

this is what you should tell him. I have the same situation with sum1, but I don't really like them too much so ignorance is the answer lol. If u still want to be friends then just have a word with him.

Of course I don't know the full situation, but if, as you were suggesting, the guy was maybe plotting to break the two of you up, then I think you should tell your boyfriend. Just so your boyfriend knows what's going on, and so the other guy can't then take advantage of the situation by spreading lies and rumours that could potentially drive the two of you apart. The best thing you can do in a relationship is to be open with each other.

Peace.

yeah i think u should tell your boyfriend, like prince said just incase this guy trys to mess things up between you two ( i dont know if he would go that far). i think u should also just speak to this guy that likes you, just say to him, you like him as a friend and your happy with your boyfriend.

  • 3 weeks later...

*sigh* I need relationship advice:

I've been dating this girl since roughly mid-october, so about a month now. Things have been going well and all, but I haven't seen her since halloween. I've called her once a week to catch up and see if she's free. She is going to NYU and taking pre-med, so I know she's busy, so I don't mind her not being able to go out often. But today I called her and asked her out and she said she'll have to see because she's working on a paper for her class. So, I ask if she'll be free on Monday (she has no class that day, but works at the NYU library) and I can take her out to dinner that day after her work (I have only one class on monday) and she said that she changed her schedule and will be working at the library on wednesday, and her paper on monday.

How should I take this?
