Waiting on Kel Spencer to spark is like standing outside at night on the fourth of July waiting for the fireworks. Oh, the most high willing it's gonna spark.

Got my CD today. I cant write reviews so im just gonna randomly comment on it lol. I like the way he uses a lot of samples u can recognise, he takes beats from rappers that arnt that good and makes them his own and makes them better e.g Nellys song number one.

It is slightly annoying that there are snippits, u get into the song and it fades out, i guess that just part of being a mixtape.

My faves are the first 2 freestyles, Grindin (gotta love taty), i got Ko's/number one, The wilderness, Its all related, Ghetto (akon does a great job on this).

overall i really like it, there are a couple of songs that are a bit too "hard" for me, but thats just my personal taste.
rap's dying and our only hope is the chosen

He's the man yeah you heard what i said,

Let's get this back on topic.

I don't think I need to restate that if you're a fan of quality hip hop you need to get this album.

I don't think I need to tell you again how dope it is.

I don't think I need to remind you that this dude works with Will, one of our favorite rappers.

I don't think it needs to be brought back to your attention that the support of this music is progress for the industry.

Nah, you already knew all that. :1-cool:

God Blessa!

Since this is a legit Kel Spencer topic, I was wonderin' if any "The Season" tracks by Kel has been put out, becuz they sound really good. I think he changes the lyrics for each show pertaining to the team.
FuQ's Myspace Page
Tracks Available
- "My Lady"
- "21...Ways To Flow (produced by Quality, addition mixes by FuQ)
- "Remember Me"
- "Hip Hop Love"

FuQ's Soundclick Page
"21...Ways To Flow" is also available to listen to at Soundclick

"One more, then no more from FuQ. The last album will be F.U.Q. (Fresh, Understanding, Quality). After that, I will not rap anymore. It may be heard, it may not. But I will make it as if no ones' ears hears it but mine. I'll keep my discography, but no more after from me. I'll start working on my "mix projects". All that have heard/ever will hear, I say simply 'Thank You'. - FuQ [September 15, 2001 - ???]

I'm also curious to know did Kel Spencer get a record deal yet? You figure with a mixtape as hot as this it wouldn't take so long for labels to be bidding for him :stickpoke:

Ofcourse he could. But why should he? He`s happy this way I guess. He sells allot (even tho he could sell more) and doesnt have to do ish for it. Dont see the problem with that.

I doubt Ice Cube will sell more than "Lost and Found" did with his new album, I don't hear his single on the radio and I haven't seen the video since it debuted 2 weeks ago, independent artists don't sell much, it doesn't make sense for Ice Cube to be independent, he makes millions off of his films, usually artists go independent to make more money, he needs to be a major label so they could properly promote his albums and he'll get the proper radio and video support, people won't know about his album if his video and song don't get played on TV or the radio that much, if I didn't have the internet I wouldn't even know when his album is gonna be coming out...
