Thoughts on Fresh Prince of Bel Air Reunion Special

I thought this was really good. It was well done and quite emotional. If you watch it, expect tears!

There was a very moving tribute to James Avery.

I gotta give it to Janet Hubert because the stuff she said in the press she said straight to Will's face and it was great to see that relationship mended.

I would have liked to see more interviews with some of the creators of the Fresh Prince, the writers, directors and producers etc but it just seemed to focus on the cast.

I grew up watching this show - watched it from grade 4 to year 10 - so it was a part of my childhood and it was so great to see them all back together.

All in all - absolutely loved it! Their bond is still as strong as ever.

What did you think?

Incredible. Uncle Phil tribute, Janet reconciliation, Ross Bagley showing up, it was everything it needed to be. I quite like that it was an intimate setting for the cast, made it feel more like a reunion than a documentary. Loved it.

My allergies kept playing up though, which was annoying ;)

What a wonderful reunion! Touching and emotional, with great behind-the-scenes footage. A fantastic gift for all the fans. It's amazing to see how many people and generations this show has touched. And after all these years, it feels 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' is more popular than ever. So good to see them back together!

The James Avery tribute was perfect. A beautiful moment where words were not necessary to express how they feel about his loss. Very emotional so them all crying

The Janet part was also a big one. I'm glad Will and she could have an honest conversation, and that she could express how she has felt during all this time to his face, the pain she says she's gone through. Hopefully they have a better relationship from now on. And I also loved that she asked to join the rest of the cast too, it was very nice to see them together. But I'm wondering, why wasn't Alfonso there when she entered the set? It was strange that he wasn't with the rest in that moment. Maybe it was because that part was filmed at a different time, who knows. But I'm hoping it's not because he didn't want to see her. Anyway, at the end of the day, it's their business.

I also feel they didn't give enough time to Joseph. It would have been interesting to hear him talk about hot he got the role too, like the others. Or to hear him share some stories from his experience on the show.

I'm definitely watching it again. It brings back so many great memories..

What a legendary show!! :smiley-sport035:

Why do they hate each other? This is new to me.

Same situation I think. Janet’s attacked Alfonso over the years and vice versa, I think she once referred to him as Wills ‘tampon’, so probably just an escalation of the Will feud.

Hi guys, sorry it appears i haven't been on here since 2018, i'd like to say Ive been busy this year but obviously i haven't lol.

This reunion had everything. I loved how we got so much backstage information, the tribute to James Avery was perfect.

I'm glad Janet and Will made up, sort of. It was obviously very awkward. I'm sure Will wasnt perfect as like he said, he was 21 and had ambitions. Janet must of been difficult as the rest of the cast hated her too. Theres a red tablet talk where they go into this in more detail, which is just as awkward.

I'm glad they talked about the family vibes they had. You could really feel that watching the show. It almost felt like as a viewer you were part of that family too.

I have just read this, however...

which explains Alfonso was working the day Janet was on set.

Yeah, Alfonso explains in this interview why he wasn't there when Janet entered the set. That part was filmed on a different day, and Alfonso was busy shooting 'America's Funniest Home Videos'.
